Glenn. 23-04-2011 12:08 AM

Yes. I am a ghost.

Lee. 23-04-2011 12:09 AM

I'll discuss tomorrow.. I can't talk about ghosts this late! I spook myself and have to run up the stair like a bat out of hell!

Kerry 23-04-2011 12:09 AM

Theres something weird going on in my house but I've never seen an 'actual' ghost. So the jury's out

Ramsay 23-04-2011 12:10 AM

And hide under the covers as if they will save you. Always makes me laugh why people do that but I do the same :joker:

Josy 23-04-2011 12:11 AM

I believe in residual energies left over from past events.

Glenn. 23-04-2011 12:11 AM

Ive had a number of strange encounters in my house. Lights switching on and what not. My dog often looks like he's seen something.

And that's all your getting out of me. Ive just spooked myself. Now I'm not going to sleep tonight:bawling:

For me it's ears. I'll sit and watch the scariest stuff but all's fine if I cover my ears :conf: :joker:

Chuck 23-04-2011 12:15 AM

I don't believe in ghosts, souls, spirits or anything like that.

Haah.. Same.

Zippy 23-04-2011 12:19 AM

depends what you define as a ghost. I believe that a dead persons spirit can have an energy and a presence that can still be felt by certain people in certain places. I think the brain then gives it an image and tricks you into thinking youve seen a "ghost".

My sister recently told me about an encounter she had in her bedroom with a ghost. She obviously believed it but the mind plays tricks on those who are susceptible and open to suggestion.

Stacey. 23-04-2011 12:25 AM

I believe in ghosts, but I don't really know what I think about souls and spirits and things.

Kerry 23-04-2011 12:30 AM

I've had stuff go missing. Strange stuff. Not stuff you just happen to lose but a dinner plate, a wine glass and a particular knife. Absolutely no explanation.

I've also seen odd 'glows'. Never scared nor bothered me. Infact (sad as it sounds) it's almost a comfort as it's quite angellic.

The other thing is my cat. He's, a couple of times, TOTALLY freaked out about my room. He always sleeps in there yet came out like a bat out of hell with every hair stood on end and his tail like a toilet brush. I went to look and he just wasn't having it and refused to go back in for hours and scratched me to get away

And only last night a pile of books for no reason at all fell over. A completely stable pile in the dead of night. Just fell

Something weird is going on. But I just laugh :D

Smithy 23-04-2011 12:31 AM

Yep

Stu 23-04-2011 12:37 AM

No. There's no reason to. Any ghostly phenomenon that occurs as an apparent result of an unproven phenomenon can ergo also be automatically attributed to any other whack ass, unproven phenomenon you wish to conjur up. Not nessacerily ghosts.

Your brain's quite an amazing thing. I had a tennis match with myself on acid once in the dark out the backyard running from side to side hitting an invisible ball with a racket. For twenty minutes I refused to stop because I was two sets down.

Stu 23-04-2011 12:55 AM

I'm glad I didn't talk to Frank. Mind you I'm paying for it now everytime I see halos around lights.

Don't do drugs, kids. Believe in ghosts instead etc.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 23-04-2011 01:04 AM

im so scared of drugs

like im so unstable as it is if i took acid i would probs end up killing myself

Glenn. 23-04-2011 01:11 AM

There was once a time I was watching Scariest Places On Earth and I was starting to freak myself out so I turned my sky onto the tv guide and went to my fridge, and I was literally 30 sec

Glenn. 23-04-2011 01:13 AM

And I was literally 30 seconds and the sky put itself back onto the ghostie programme. Every hair on my body stood on end.

Yeah stay well away from them if you have that sort of mindset. You'll trip something rotten.

I saw Marc Almond in the mirror once. Had to be stopped from having a convorsation with him. The lads inside were howling like mad watching Canada's Next Top Model.

Only so much of it you can take.

Properly laughed out loud at the bit in bold.

I believe in spirits, and i believe in life after death, so i think maybe some spirits stay on earth after death. but i'm not scared of ghosts, I don't think they can hurt us.

I'm more scared of aliens than ghosts. Aliens will adbuct you and do all sorts of horrible surgery and stuff, wayyy scarier i think!

omg, yur quick, i didn't even get time to edit.

burn who?

Boothy 23-04-2011 01:39 AM

On topic, I don't believe in them. As I said in another thread, I think the concepts of life after death, souls, spirits, karma etc. have all been thought up by mankind as a coping mechanism. I just think that if they did exist there would be some proof by now.

omg, i guess you've never heard of youtube, there're like millions of ghosts on video for proof.

Callum 23-04-2011 01:47 AM

Yes I do. I remember seeing a female ghost standing next to my window many years ago, strange thing is it didn't freak me out.

Z 23-04-2011 02:35 AM

I'm not really entirely sure what I think, but I'd certainly like to think that people whose lives ended much earlier than expected stick around and get to watch their families and friends continue with their lives, which probably sounds really silly but even if I'm wrong, I don't see the harm in thinking it, it's not like it can be proven (as far as modern science goes [that's publicly available at any rate]) either way. I currently live in quite an old building and there are times where I get this inexplicable feeling as if I'm being watched, I'm quite a jumpy person by nature but it doesn't alarm me, and I don't feel like that when I'm at home with my family or in other settings where I'm alone - maybe it's just an imagined psychological thing, maybe it's not.
