Channel 5: 'There's Something About Josie' Details!

Quote:

Details of the final Big Brother winner Josie Gibson’s reality show have been revealed today, with ‘There’s Something About Josie’ confirmed to air on Channel 5 this May.

The show will feature both the highs and lows of Josie and John-James’ relationship, from attending glamorous film premieres to arguments between them at home. The series will also be used to help launch Josie’s perfume and clothing ranges, as the 26-year-old cashes in on her post-Big Brother fame.

In the first episode, Josie puts everything on hold as she focuses on arrangements for her ‘Big Fat Gypsy’- themed birthday party. She is trying to find the perfect venue and a show-stopping outfit, and will all her celeb pals show up? And it’s mission impossible for Josie’s Big Brother boyfriend John James as he tries to find Josie the perfect birthday present.

BUT, unfortunately for Josie the show was filmed before her dramatic and public (Twitter) break up with John James. Awkward….

Heres an ad for the show:

The article is speaking about a previous contestant from Big Brother and her reality TV show which is going to be aired on Channel 5, the new owners of Big Brother. This links into the hype and build up around the show, and links to Big Brother in the future and past housemates involvement in it.

Patrick 05-05-2011 07:19 PM

No, no it doesn't.

Because this silly little Josie show was planned since January. :bored:
I could understand if it was some Documentary or something like Big Brother's Big Quiz etc that's a build up show that links into the hype around the upcoming series.

A show about some vile winner that won a series on Channel 4 last year, has nothing at all to do with Big Brother's new era on Channel 5 - this is to do with BB11.

I actually think the Mods should just add a 'Channel 5' Forum to TiBB, people seem to post whatever random show Channel 5 are airing into the BB12 Section nowadays.

If you dont like her ignore the thread, move on with your life coz you all bitching and wishing she would go away just keeps her in peoples minds.

Im sure she dont give a flying **** about some teenagers with no life bashing her lol shes made herself alot of cash and is having the time of her life.

Deal with it

I loved Josie during BB11 Last Year and i actually voted for her, I can't wait to see her new show. I agree here with daniel-lewis-1985, If you don't like her or just wanna moan just ignore the thread and don't post. It's getting me down with all of people who just wanna moan and put people down!
I for one will DEFIANTLY will be watching her show on Monday and i will be happy to see Josie back on TV Again!

DigitalSid 05-05-2011 07:37 PM

Wonder if a mention of BB's return will have been edited in or if the continuity announcer will mention the auditions before/after? Immaterial I know and I won't be watching to find out but still.

Jordan. 05-05-2011 07:43 PM

I don't get the big deal about Josie. She did nothing more than any other housemate in BB11 or any other previous winner to deserve her all of these shows appearances, perfume, clothing range. Its all off the back of her **** fake realationship and her winning a fixed finale.

The only reason she won was because BB11 was a complete train wreck with the ****test final ever in history. She'd have disappeared if John James was never in BB and she'd have come 3rd behind Corin and Sam if it wasn't for the blantant fix by the producers on the quadruple eviction.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I wont be watching.

daniel-lewis-1985 05-05-2011 07:44 PM

All these "FIXED FINAL" comments ae hilarious lol

Jarrod 05-05-2011 07:46 PM

I think the show will get a fair amount of viewers, for the BB Fans who liked her outside of TiBB. Remember not every single BB Fan in the UK is on TiBB...

So if it was vote to save like every fan wanted it to be Josie would have still won?

It would have been close between her and Corin i reckon.

Even Davina said that it should have been vote to save so the fact is that Channel 4 just made a right cock up. Why would they fix a boring finale?

If Corin, Sam Pepper, John James and Josie were in the final it would have been the most exciting closest finale in years and would surely have grabbed more viewers.

All this "fixed" bull crap just doesnt even make sense.

Just because something happened that you didnt like does not mean its fixed.

The producers will have had a very good idea who would be evicted in a quadruple eviction from previous evictions, popularity on forums etc.

They'll also have a good idea who would win the show.

So why else would they decide on a vote to evict over a vote to save like everyone was asking for? They didn't care if it'd be a boring final because people would still be tuning in because of UBB starting.

At the time Sam and Corin probably had a larger fan base than Josie did.

They knew with Josie they could try turn her into some new public hero and drag out her faux-mance with John James longer if she was to win and stay for UBB and it completely backfired on them.

You think into things way to much.

Channel 4 would not risk any scandal regarding Big Brother after cbb5 and so much press attention.

Especially were the British publics money is involved it would ruin them and the lawsuits ect would be worth much more than making one housemate a celeb.

Think about it your being rediculous.

You honestly think that they cared sooo much about Josie becoming famous that they risked being sued for millions and members of staff possibly going to jail for fraud?

Like i said.

Just because something happens that you dont like doesnt mean its a fix.

I love how defensive Daniel is getting because he rightly sense that it's a bit sad to care about this blemish on the arse of life.

The argument is flawed though. Nobody is likewise sad or pathetic just because they spent thirty seconds typing in a thread about how nobody cares about Josie anymore. Forums are made for disagreeing as much as they are agreeing and people are more than allowed point how how daft they feel the concept of this show is.

Pimp's up, ho's down. Stu out.

Not really, I never said the public voting was fixed just the tactics of the producers could be considered to be fixed in Josie's favour.

It was either a genuine stupid mistake to have the quadruple eviction or there was a reason behind why it was done as a vote to evict when they knew 3 of the favourites would leave.

I suppose stuff like this happening was the reason BB had gone to the dogs by the time it ended.

I'm sure it will do well commercially considering how unbelievably cheap it must have been to produce.

I think most of the JJJ fans don't really want to watch it as it'll just be so awkward. I'll be watching behind my fingers.

YESSSSSSSS! Finally somone normally who doesn't constantly go on about BB being "fixed"!
The only time it was fixed is was when Shilpa Shetty (the snobby, patronising, vile bit*h who came over from India that was on CBB5) won.

I really do hate it when people accuse the show of being fixed when someone wins who they didn't want to.

This is true. However, that isn't a fix, it's influence... It is in EVERY reality show, or voting show to be honest, like XF, IAC and BGT.

Definetely and thats why people get fed up and stopped watching.

The amount of influencing in BB11 towards JJJ and a few others was so obvious it was actually laughable.

Hopefully C5 can stick to the phrase 'you decide'.

Beastie 05-05-2011 11:36 PM

Don't worry this will be Josie's last show before she is airlifted like a beached whale back to obscurity.

Christ, some of these comments are heartless. Yeah, she put her self up for it by making the show but don't you think you are being abit shallow?

A lot of it is a reaction to a certain user who I won't name who doesn't post now who was a fanatically devoted supporter of Josie and used to variously insult people and hit the report button every time someone made a joke about her weight. It is getting a bit old now though.
