In other words, unsubstantiated rumour and gossip ....

:laugh2:

happybbfan 09-06-2011 01:32 PM

very sketchy and most unlikely she has said she wont be back.

lukee 09-06-2011 02:08 PM

wouldnt supprise me at all like she wants to see someone alse presenting it !!! its her thing and should be

Benjamin 09-06-2011 02:10 PM

She won't be back to host it.

happybbfan 09-06-2011 02:11 PM

Loved Davina in the early years she was so enthusiastic but very scripted and hardly watched the highlights in later years let alone live feed.i dont mind if she did present it but i dont think she will although it will be hard for her not to.i think a new presenter would be better now.

CharlieO 09-06-2011 02:14 PM

I wouldn't mind if she did but why would she make so many rejections of the idea.
She wrote on her blog the day it got announced that she was not doing it.
Doubtful.

Patrick 09-06-2011 03:32 PM

Oh Cool.

I don't really give a ******; I don't like her.
But at the end of the day the only good person they could of got was Caroline Flack; and she's with the ******ing X Factor now.

So yeah bring her back; it would also save us from a massive drop in ratings.

Because they probably offered her a MASSIVE amount of cash.

Yes but the likelihood of this being true because someone has 'heard' it isn't that plausible.

Ninastar 09-06-2011 03:39 PM

ugh noooo

-is less excited than I was before and I wasnt even planning to watch it-

The likelihood of this being true is negligible ..... :D

I've said since day 1 if BB was ever to return & Davina was asked to do it, i don't think she would refuse, so i won't be amazed if this source is true, that we will see her back.

On channel 5? They're almost guaranteed a massive drop in ratings.

Jamesy 09-06-2011 08:07 PM

Would Davina really come back?

She's already swimming in money, I couldn't see another series of presenting Big Brother making her any more fortunate than she already is. She's got a few other presenting jobs at the moment so money again will be good from those sides. She has openly admitted to the press and the public that she will not be returning as presenter to BB, if she did some back she'd be going against her word and risks bad publicity. She spent over a year saying goodbye to Big Brother and bidding the show that made her she is farewell.

While I am a big Davina fan I think it's time for a fresh face to come and take the limelight. Someone like Emma Willis or Caroline Flack (yeah, I know she won't be doing it now 'cos of X FailFactor) needs to be the new "face of Big Brother", presenters who have already got experience, show an enthusiasm for presenting and that aren't necessarily the "famous" presenters of TV. This gives viewers a fresh look on the show, makes the show feel new and also gives a presenter the chance to be a part of an iconic show and further expand their presenting career.

joeysteele 09-06-2011 08:31 PM

I would prefer her not to present it on Channel 5, I would rather Emma or Brian to do it,however it's the series of BB itself that is the most important thing so even if Davina was asked and she accepted to do it again then I could live with that.

If she could get back to how she was in the earlier series of BB then she would certainly do better than she has the last few series.

Do you find it funny that ratings drop on an iconic show you are a fan of thus meaning its less popular?

Stu 09-06-2011 08:43 PM

I think it's hillarious. It's even more hillarious watching you get all hysterical and insane like a big girl literally every night of the week because some post from someone signals that maybe they just don't have as much invested in this whole Big Brother deal as you do.

I'll still watch it if it's any good but I have no problem lolling at crap ratings.

Well that's bollocks considering they only get like 3 Viewers a day and Big Brother usually gets over 3 Million.

Stop being so ******ing negative.

There is no "source" ..... :nono:

supergirthuk 09-06-2011 08:49 PM

I'd rather have Emma Willis instead and she's garbage.

Isin't it painfully obvious he means a ratings drop for the show and not the channel?

Either way he's still spreading negativity around the forum.

Stu 09-06-2011 09:14 PM

And you never do that, right?

It's obvious the ratings will drop from last year.

Actually I don't.

I usually give my opinion on a topic, if it's good I stick around - if not, I say it and that's it.

I don't literally say it everytime someone makes a post about the ******ing topic, especially when the forum is based on said topic.

And how exactly is it obvious?

Yeah there's a big chance, but alot of you people are being ******ing pathetic with this; you don't know what it's going to be like.

People need to stop the whole:

'It will be crap without Davina.' or 'Oh it's on Channel 5? It won't be as good then lol.'

It's like, give it a chance FFS or Be Quiet, Get Out and go and moan about something else.

You are without a shadow of a doubt one of the most negative people on the forum. It doesn't matter if it's about your favourite subject or not, chief. Negativity is negativity either way.

Grow a pair and just get over it. Do you honestly realize how callow and infantile the likes of yourself and Daniel look whenever a post daring to be negative or unfavourable about Big Brother's future threatens to pierce the frivilous bubble of shitwater that you are trying to maintain?

Regardless of what you think of it people are every bit as entitled to bemoan the show and doubt it's future as you are to champion it. Snap out of this puerile dreamworld you inhabit where everything that doesn't measure up to your own lofty approach to mediocrity is shat upon.

Patrick 09-06-2011 09:57 PM

At the end of the day it's a ******ing Big Brother forum, do you have any idea how ******ing silly and hyprocrtical people like yourself come across when you insult and hate on the show when you're on a ******ing forum dedicated to it?

Don't even start the whole 'Yeah well it's not just a BB Forum'.
Because yes it is, beneath all the member banter and all that bollocks - this forum is for Big Brother.

It's not silly or hypocritical in the slightest. People are fully entitled to be as unflinching as they want in their views about the shows future. Being critical is not necessarily indicative of hating something. Everyone here is into Big Brother. That's why we signed up. You're idealistic, decrepid little fuck bucket of a fantasy forum where nobody is allowed say a bad word about the show doesn't sound like the wish of a true fan to me.

Stop being such a melodramatic wad of cum about it.
