Self service because I'm socially awkward.

Human being. There's always something wrong with the self-serve they do my head in.

If it's at lunch at Morrisons i find it quicker to go self service

if you sit on your hand for 10 minutes before self service its feels like a normal checkout.

Humans at the checkouts I would rather go to, I get mad at the self serve things and the wifie who screams place item in the bagging area and please insert cash or card does my head in at those machines.

They near always go wrong when I use them anyway so I prefer to queue but that can be also very annoying.

Yes the Woman or Man or Lad
has to rush over to you and enter a code or swipe there magic card.


And as Time Is Money
I get angry and Shout.

I usually have my ipod in and I just take my time, I'm pretty much oblivious to everyone, also I think I'm getting more confident at them.

Self service until that hag screams out 'UNEXPECTED ITEM IN THE BAGGING AREA' and everyone looks :bored:

I love running items over the infa red and getting a beep. Plus Ive become really speedy at it.

How do they stop you nicking stuff?

The other day I was being all mature n stuff and doing it and then my 3 friends run screaming over with like 100 items and like break the machine.

No wonder old people hate my generation.

The first time I ever used it I was standing with a scanned item in my hand whilst trying to scan another one... it was telling me to put the scanned item in the bag... I was totally like :amazed: and checking the floor and moving about as I thought it had weighed me and knew I still had something in my hand! :blush:

plus security have close up camera shots and also a multi display screen with all the self serve checkout displays on them. This is in the bigger stores mostly.

Human, because generally I leave the shop in a better mood than faffing about with the annoying self service ones :laugh:

Kinda defeats the object if they're manned by cameras anyway
