Self-serve or a human being?

Which do you prefer to use? :spin2:

Z 14-06-2011 06:01 PM

Self service because I'm socially awkward.

seanraff07 14-06-2011 06:02 PM

Human being. There's always something wrong with the self-serve they do my head in.

onlinebigbrother12344 14-06-2011 06:04 PM

Tom4784 14-06-2011 06:05 PM

Lee. 14-06-2011 06:06 PM

Self service.. I'm quicker than the humans and I like to pretend I'm a checkout girl. :)

Lewis. 14-06-2011 06:07 PM

it would be so amazing if you said "That would be £10.50 please" "Thank you" out loud to yourself

ILoveTRW 14-06-2011 06:10 PM

if you sit on your hand for 10 minutes before self service its feels like a normal checkout.

Princess 14-06-2011 06:23 PM

Self service but we don't have ones where you can do self service for a big shop, just 10 items.

'Conor 14-06-2011 06:29 PM

self service
the other one is just too awkward

joeysteele 14-06-2011 06:43 PM

Humans at the checkouts I would rather go to, I get mad at the self serve things and the wifie who screams place item in the bagging area and please insert cash or card does my head in at those machines.

They near always go wrong when I use them anyway so I prefer to queue but that can be also very annoying.

I usually have my ipod in and I just take my time, I'm pretty much oblivious to everyone, also I think I'm getting more confident at them.

Jordan. 14-06-2011 08:30 PM

Self service until that hag screams out 'UNEXPECTED ITEM IN THE BAGGING AREA' and everyone looks :bored:

Zippy 14-06-2011 08:34 PM

self service

I love running items over the infa red and getting a beep. Plus Ive become really speedy at it.

Kerry 14-06-2011 08:35 PM

How do they stop you nicking stuff?

Doogle 14-06-2011 08:35 PM

Self-services unless I'm with friends.

The other day I was being all mature n stuff and doing it and then my 3 friends run screaming over with like 100 items and like break the machine.

No wonder old people hate my generation.

By the weight of the stuff in your bags.

The first time I ever used it I was standing with a scanned item in my hand whilst trying to scan another one... it was telling me to put the scanned item in the bag... I was totally like :amazed: and checking the floor and moving about as I thought it had weighed me and knew I still had something in my hand!

plus security have close up camera shots and also a multi display screen with all the self serve checkout displays on them. This is in the bigger stores mostly.

KG. 14-06-2011 09:04 PM

Human, because generally I leave the shop in a better mood than faffing about with the annoying self service ones

Kinda defeats the object if they're manned by cameras anyway
