Everton are playing Villarreal on ITV4 as well in a friendly

MTVN 07-08-2011 11:05 AM

West Ham Cardiff on BBC 1 before the Community Shield today, should be a good game, lucky we still have Green, Parker & Cole atm

Novo 07-08-2011 11:11 AM

West Ham 3 or 4-0 hopefully.. really want Cardiff to struggle this year i am sick of them reaching the Play off's and bottling it

joeysteele 07-08-2011 12:20 PM

I think it will be a draw. Cardiff can be a very stubborn side. However West Ham have a really good Manager.

MTVN 07-08-2011 01:02 PM

Not a great game so far, hopefully it'll get a bit better second half

Locke. 07-08-2011 02:03 PM

West Ham end the weekend in the relegation zone

Novo 07-08-2011 02:05 PM

Kenny Miller :bored:

MTVN 07-08-2011 02:41 PM

Sh*t start to the season, didn't deserve to lose that, Green should have saved it really and Nolan missing that sitter :bored:

bbfan1991 07-08-2011 04:21 PM

Cardiff won:), smash and grab apparently.

Mystic Mock 07-08-2011 05:24 PM

Mayhem in the Cardiff end after, they're like my 2nd English team so I always back them each game!

Cardiff are Welsh but play in an English league, kind of confusing:D.

Yeah I meant English as in an English League team haha, the fact that they are Welsh in an English league is the reason I want them to do well :D

Novo 07-08-2011 11:26 PM

West Ham didn't do to much wrong today

joeysteele 07-08-2011 11:31 PM

I felt Cardiff had a chance today, thought it would be a draw myself. Cardiff only just missed coming up last season whereas West Ham were well down, playing badly for most of last season.
I believe Sam Allerdyce will turn things around but doubt West Ham will come straight back up this season somehow.

King Gizzard 07-08-2011 11:33 PM

The realism set in today, Big Sam football on cold nights in Barnesly to come

seanraff07 07-08-2011 11:35 PM

Big Sam doesn't get his team playing attractive football very often but he turns them into grafters and he'll do well at West Ham IMO.

Novo 07-08-2011 11:42 PM

They'll still win the league though

King Gizzard 07-08-2011 11:43 PM

Better do because if they don't they'll be ****ed like Birmingham

Locke. 07-08-2011 11:44 PM

The title shall be Hull's

Novo 07-08-2011 11:44 PM

Watch out for Sven's men as well

seanraff07 07-08-2011 11:45 PM

Middlesborough will go up, mark my word.

King Gizzard 07-08-2011 11:49 PM

Southampton for me, Forest with Steve maybe

Ipswich with Chopra and Bowyer in midfield are my darkhorses, and they owned Bristol yesterday

seanraff07 07-08-2011 11:54 PM

Boro, Leicester and Reading

bbfan1991 08-08-2011 12:43 AM

Middlesborough are underwhelming, everyone was so sure they would go up last season but ended up flirting with relegation for a while then had a good spell where they eventually finished in the top half of the table. They might prove me wrong this season, who knows?

Forest only have a small squad but McLaren is an experienced manager and could get the best out of them, despite disappointing and coming close to promotion in previous seasons.

I think West Ham and Leicester will go up, fancy Southampton as a dark horse for a play off place.

bbfan1991 08-08-2011 12:46 AM

I agree Nate, if Ipswich can be consistent then they have a good shout at PO places or even promotion.

I fancy Cardiff again to be challenging for promotion, they've lost a few players who they've had to replace or sent loan players back to their clubs but CCFC have replaced them with new signings and have a new manager so they could do well.

I know Mowbray very well after his 3 year spell with us and know if given the time he should be able to get them up, can sign lots of gems for nothing and gets them playing football the way it should be.

Quality manager was a bit unlucky at Celtic, infact typical of them, don't give anyone a chance and will get on the managers back the minute he drops 2 points for the first time ever.

Don't get me wrong Boro actually have a decent squad and Mowbray is an OK manager and can challenge for promotion, but I just think atm people are jumping the gun where they are concerned.

Strachan ****ed them up by signing a load of SPL rejects.

Obviously these players do have some talent but this league is more competitive and has a different style to the SPL;).

If McCoist turns out to be anywhere near as bad as Mowbray was at celtic it will be a miracle

Not gonna deny it, I'll be the first to admit the SPL is murder, really it's not even alright at times, it's just terrible altogether. The standard, the teams, the league system and set-up, the split, the grounds, the lack of atmosphere. If I didn't love Hibs I would have absolutely no interest in Scottish football whatsoever, it's on the downslide all the time.

For me the Championship is my favourite league in the world, the most competitive and the most entertaining. Some really good teams battling it out in there.

Yeah Mowbray wasn't great at Celtic, but as usual the fans don't give him a chance
