I think they began doing this last year, didn't they?

It just totally ruins the atmosphere, it's like they're trying to make it into some cheesy sitcom.

Reminds me of the X Factor, going way over the top now.

What I meant was, this is the 'new format' that they plan to run with from now on.

It takes away Big Brothers originality and uniqueness.

Now its just another over commercialised reality show, just like the rest of them.

It sort of breaks the way you can feel involved in the house.

This has depressed me too much :(

Well the fans liked it how it was.

People aren't going to start watching again because they throw the jaws theme tune over someone gettting mad.

What? They did the same thing with last series pretty much, the music, more extravagant camera work.

Who's going to start watching the show just because of these changes?

It sure as hell will make people think about tuning out, though.

I have just turned off. I can deal with no star power, I can deal with pointless live shows. But that...that was horrid. I don't want a MTV style show! And I can imagine it isn't just the fans that are reacting this way.

I wonder how many people right now are going:

The die hard fans still loved the show and format. This format wont bring any new viewers in. It will just drive old ones away.

Agreed. It doesn't feel English anymore. English reality shows NEVER had any of this over produced stuff the american shows had. I can't wait to see the ratings tommorrow. If they gain a new audience with this format, good for them. But I won't be one of them and in my mind neither will most everyone here.

I agree music is terrible n the names on the screen is no good either not liking so far

Because its not the format that drove away viewers it was the idea and perception of the show in the first place. People thought BB was 'chavy' 'cheap' and for commoners. This is far more like that than the Channel 4 BB was. The only new people BB will bring in with this is towie lovers or little kids who are impressed by its shiny quality.

'Hey guys Big Brother has wibbly wobbly after effects on it now! Let's tune back in!'.

Urgh, it isn't that bad. Everybody screamed for change and when they get it they moan, C5 can't win.

Change in the dynamics, not change like this.

The names are useful because it means the casual viewers will find it easier to follow

BB has been a kids show ever since bb7
people stopped watching BB because its boring
not for any other reason

at the end of the day BB is light entertainment, something that you have on in the background
this new format is the epitome of light entertainment
if you want something heavier you need to be watching the real world

No it hasn't. This is a kids show. It may have become more kiddy but now its just far too over the top.

But this is far more boring than any other series has been. People switched off because Big Brother was fashionable to hate. But yes it did get more boring after BB7 but this is even worse than BB11.

TBH the only thing i have liked is the vote to save , everything else has been a bit of a fail IMHO

You won't have long to wait, once the ratings fall to the membership of TiBB it'll be axed sharpish :hugesmile:
