Can someone fill me in on what's been going on? Is it good? What is the editing like? Is the alcohol flowing?

I actually have no idea whats going on.

The highlights show hardly any footage.

Feel very out of the loop.

There are no bird songs!

Jedward had a bath together; Paddy is hard to understand and struggles to understand everyone else which is probably just as well; Tara sounds like she's on drugs; Amy has a basic vocabulary of about thirty words and fills in the gaps with the word "honey"; Kerry failed her task of being a Diva and is up for eviction; she chose Sally and Bobby to be up with her; the Pap man had a birthday; no one's said anything interesting or amusing; there is no live feed.

That is all.

No, no birdsongs. Shame really, because it was more entertaining than a lot of the "conversations" I've heard.

I think Sally's doing her best to improvise that one.

I may set up a livestream of Big Brother live feeds from the past :)

It's only flopping on TiBB because the majority of you lot are afraid of change, and I wouldn't call a peak of 8 Million - and average of 5 Million for a launch show and the highest rating series since Season 9 - and probably the most talked about since BB7 - a flop at all.

The Peak was 6 million?

Anyway i like this series. Everyone has done something interesting/ are entertaining apart from Bobby & Pamela.

If this series was exactly the same but on channel 4 it would be below 1M. only got good ratings for the launch because people was curious & it had big celebs rumoured like charlie sheen.

It's dire. The editing, the truly special effects, marcus & BBs attitude & no livefeed. Nothing has changed for the good.

I think you'll find 8 Million peopled tuned in for more than 3 Minutes, the peak was 8 Million.

You lot have been crying for a 'revamp' since BB8 - and they gave you it and now it's not good enough? Cut them some slack Jesus Christ.

I'm not big on the whole editing thing either and the music and stuff, but so what! It needed to evolve and I've counted people on this forum that use to slate the C4 show and say how it needed to be more current and modern, and now it is and then these same people are still crying over it.

Yeah - Tara and Kerry were pissed the other night.

It's just we don't really get to see them pissed because of the live feed being axed.

They have been given alcohol but we havnt seen any of it.

What has this series gained that we should be so happy about? The only thing it's gained you say you don't like & we've lost the livefeed, I don't see the improvement.

I ask everyone to imagine we never had the false farewell and your television said 4 instead of 5.
You just know you turned on Big Brother as you have every summer.

All you would think is that C4 really dropped in quality, production values and all the people you liked are gone (Davina) or are doing a very poor job (Marcus) and generally the whole thing is much worse than last year.

And somehow duller in terms of actual substance. Yet somehow more annoying with dramatic music. And somehow gayer.
And somehow more '5 years ago' than before.

I wouldn't say it is flopping at all, the viewing figures are still decent, they'll probably go down but last night got C5's best ratings on a Saturday night in years I believe?

It's awful. Half the people making excuses for the editing are only doing so because they are such fanboys of the show and are paranoid the public will go cold on it.

Ok so was just watching a bit of it now, like the last half hour. At first it looked like TOWIE with all the names and dodgy music, but then after the ad break it stopped which I was happy about.

It seems like kind of weirdly empty, all their convo seems pretty forced and they all looked pretty awkward together. I liked the last bit though where they were just all sitting around smoking and plotting, Tara :amazed:

Yea Joe the last half of yesterdays episode was by far the best part we have seen so far but the series is just terrible as a whole. None of the 'fundamental rules of big brother' have been stuck to by the producers so its kind of not the same show at all.

Yeah, how come Paddy was allowed to talk to his wife? Did they all get to talk to someone? It's only been a few days and they're making phonecalls? :bored:

Last nights show was good but the episode before it was absolutely terrible

I bet C5 are still very happy with the figures. They'd probably like more but if they get 2 million every night they'll be happy.

Because none of the Big Brother rules still remain. And rumours are that they are all allowed regular phone calls and thats why there is no live feed. Also there has been proof they are allowed iPods in the house. So basically the only parts we see are when BB have told them to put away all their gadgets and do some acting.

If you remember CBB5 Donny did not return to the Big Brother house as he (I quote) 'He broke the FUNDAMENTAL rule of Big Brother and made contact with the outside world'. This 'fundamental' rule has been broken by Big Brother themselves already in CBB8.

The worst thing they could've done really :bored: I hope they are a lot stricter with the normal BB. I can get over it bending the rules with the celeb one just about but if they do it with the normal one I will not be a happy bear

There hasn't been proof they're allowed ipods and it's JUST rumors that they're allowed phone calls, it's only been 3 days, they're not gonna be missing people THAT much.

And it's a new show, so the new producers can change the rules to whatever they like

Yea same. If the normal Big Brother is the same with the cheesy edits, new Marcus and no original concepts I won't continue to watch I don't think. Breaking the rule which is what BB is about on the 3rd day seems absolutely ridiculous to me.

Amy said to Paddy 'where is your iPod', Paddy said 'In my bag'. If thats not proof I do not know what is.
