The Picture of Amy Childs over her bed

What does it seriously say about a person's character if they have a picture of themselves, in a glamorous pose (ie unnatural)?

Ryan. 21-08-2011 12:47 PM

Nothing.

Wildcat! 21-08-2011 12:51 PM

Is that a surprise??
I mean, what is this girl famous for again??

little.lilly 21-08-2011 12:54 PM

get over it.

armand.kay 21-08-2011 12:57 PM

lol its a photo from the task she dint bring it in with her ! lol i have photos of my self in my house it does not mean annything

chuff me dizzy 21-08-2011 01:27 PM

Up her own arse !!

Deep2 21-08-2011 04:32 PM

You think it means nothing for someone to put a picture oh herself above where she sleeps? And as for the 'get over it' comment - is that the level of intelligence here? I just find it baffling. I clearly despise the girl and all she stands for, but am interested to know what people feel this shows of her character. Psychologically it is a strange thing to do.

Marc 21-08-2011 04:34 PM

She's hot

You have a false picture of yourself posing OVER your bed? Ok....

Also it is ridiculous to compare photos of yourself (in your own abode) to being on TV and puting the picture of yourself for launch above your bed. Of course it means something. I'll let you fill in the gaps though. I can't be bothered to state the obvious.

Uuum, yes....so her being 'hot' (real intelligence there) is answering my original question how? Try going a bit further than skin deep (even though on a surface level she looks like Katie Price and has the same harsh, false features. Vaguely provocative, but purely from a sexual sense, not a good looking sense).

The_Big_Send_Off 21-08-2011 04:48 PM

nothing. leave her alone!

If you live in a house with about 10 other people you just met and have just selected you beds, putting a photo of yourself at your bed is one way to claim a corner of "ownership" in a environment where nothing really gets to be yours. Really says nothing about character to me. Lot's of people put name tags on their things if they know they will be in a communal setting, etc.

It was from the task. Who cares? It isn't like she brought in a trunk full of photos of herself and put them all over the place.

Someone who pretends (I do hope you're pretending) they haven't recognised sarcasm, yet is unable to argue a differing viewpoint to their own comes off looking rather foolish.

Beso 21-08-2011 05:46 PM

Didn't Rachel Rice have a photo of herself as well?

Comment 1: How many times have I spoken to children in my class about use of apostrophe - lot's? Where does that come from?

Comment 2: Agreed it is a way of claiming ownership. But one has to ask the WAY in which she has claimed ownership. A picture of herself. Is that the best she could come up with. A name tag is hardly comparable to a picture. One is understandable, one is self absorbed, materialistic and shallow. Of course it says much about character. She is further demonstarting how looks are everything to her and she is happy to show herself to others visually. I have noted she has no personality, except for being a shallow product of her society. The placing of the picture psychologically demonstartes her lack of depth and any introverted side of her character.

As for the comment 'leave her alone'....surely that is what a forum is for. I haven't damned her to hell or degraded anyone else here. I merely claim she is a materialistic, shallow product of her times, and it is pitiful that such an odious person can make so much money and feed off the artificial land we live in.

Maybe - but to claim she was as shallow and awful as Amy is dependent on many variables.

1) Did she have other pictures as well?
2) Was it a picture taken by big brother of her posing, or was it from home?
3) Was it as large as the one Amy has?

etc...the list goes on.

Perhaps most vitally, Rachel wasn't the brightest spark, but I don't think she was as blatantly shallow and self absorbed as Amy, hence a picture on the wall could mean many other things, based on her slightly more complex personality.

Amys one was not even large

bbfan1991 21-08-2011 05:52 PM

Nothing wrong with it? In fact some previous housemates have kept their official BB picture by their bed.

Rachel Rice had the depth of her most fantabuloustest thing in whole whole wide world. The simple grape.

1) When analysing others, it is rare to read too much into things. I am looking at Amy's character and making some logical deductions from that. I am not going into depth about her deeper (if there is one) personality, just making judgements as to her shallow character. And I suggest you read my posts more carefully as to why you having a picture over your bed is not along the same lines as Amy.

2) Also why the use of 'evil'. I suggest you improve your vocab. I take it you mean - negative purpose.

I can answer the question. Of course it is not always for a negative reason. But with a rather shallow character like Amy, who is almost the polar opposite of myself, I am going to pick up on some of the things that annoy me about her. That is what the show is about. But hardly evil.

The only thing that was interesting about her, apart from being a teacher and being engaged to Richard;):p.

That's a ridiculous comment. What do you then define as large. 10cm by 10cm or 14.75 by 14.75? Suffice to say it was large enough for me to take notice of it. Further, it is not the size that is really the issue, but her shallow nature in puting this up in the first place, rather than something more sentimental or meaningful. It tells us she has little to go on except her physical attributes (which aren't fantastic anyway).

I'm not going to argue about Rachel's depth. Can't really remember her. More focused on Amy at the moment. One thing is for sure, she is as shallow as they come.

Maybe she doesn't feel the need to have family photo's around her while she works, and I don't recall her mentioning a dog or gerbil.

Maybe she just likes that picture. Really no need for deep psychological analysing. And it certainly doesn't make her a bad person.

Photo's ....real good English there. I suggest you re-read again my comments on what is says about her character. One doesn't need to have dogs and gerbils on the wall. You seem to need one on punctuation! She could have one in 'depth of character'

1) I never said she was a bad person. I only claim she isn't a particularly good person. There is a difference.

2) Maybe she just likes that picture.....do you not understand there are deeper meanings behind things people do. What a ridiculous thing to say. Why do you think she likes the picture. That is what this thread was about.

3) No need for deep psychological analysing? Well, judging from the bimbo you have in your avatar, I'm sure psychological analysing isn't on the top of your priority list. But surely that is what the show was originally about?

4) The only reason you found the thread 'stupid' was because you didn't read into the subtleties I was referring to. Your call. I consider your avatar stupid and boring. But, hey, it takes all sorts to make the world go round.

Predicted age for you: 17
