Comment from Channel 5 & Endemol on Live Feed! [Merged]

Hi everyone asking about the Live Feed, it has been amazing to see so many of you are passionate and enthusiastic about the show. The feedback - positive and negative - has been passed on. And although a live feed has been carefully considered - there are currently no plans to bring it back on-air or online, for Celebrity or normal Big Brother. If this changes we'll post it here first.

From the Official BB Facebook page.

Josy 25-08-2011 08:34 PM

Oh fgs.

Ryan. 25-08-2011 08:34 PM

It will be back. If I am wrong, I shall compete in the first annual humble pie eating contest.

Let's hope it's coming back, they aren't going to stop until it does. And it isn't going to get any better until it does either.

Oh dear. Hope they're not expecting good ratings then. CBB is already dropping like Jodie Marsh's knickers so I can't see normal BB fairing well

GypsyGoth 25-08-2011 08:37 PM

They must have something to hide :suspect:

Boothy 25-08-2011 08:40 PM

BigBrotherfan4ever 25-08-2011 08:42 PM

Hopefully hopefully they will have changed there minds by next year & give us LF, we just have to keep up the pressure, with emails phone calls & stuff.

whereabouts on the facebook page? i dont see it.
I do believe you because thats the line they have been trotting out for a few days if you ring them up and ask i just wanted to see the responses.

Colbert-Bump 25-08-2011 08:45 PM

Watch the ratings nose dive for the normal BB without live feed.

CharlieO 25-08-2011 08:47 PM

10/11 weeks with no live feed. :bored:

If it doesn't change well then I don't even know. Its just sad.

Wildcat! 25-08-2011 08:47 PM

This is official for reAL!? I really thought they were just gonna go with this experiment for CBB, and switch back to normal live feed in the normal BB! IF thats not the case, I am sorry, but I cant get interested in the show, with people I dont know at all.
Live feed is definitely necessary for the normal BB.

Oh well! I dont think I will be watching. CAnt see me getting interested at all without Live feed. I am sure some people can, but.....

Definitely! There is nothing about strangers, that will work for a BB without Live feed. At least you knew the celebrities, but in this case, it would be like The Hills or Jersey shore. It will get good ratings for the launch and first highlight, but then nose dive to less than a million!

joeysteele 25-08-2011 08:49 PM

Keep pushing, one 'no' can be changed to make sure it's not the final 'no'.

Persistence can and often does pay off in the end. I don't care if we have live feed or not and CBB is getting good ratings os around 2.5 million+ but I will keep e mailing, writing to them etc to ask for live feed as I will support those who do want it.

They may as well at least have subscribable online streaming. It just makes financial sense. Then at least people get a choice.

▲¯\_(ツ)_/¯▲ 25-08-2011 08:55 PM

But if they bring back live feed it will be far too hard to script everything

I agree.

Unfortunately The majority of "fans" don't belong to TiBB or to Digital Spy so will probably accept what Ch5 gives them, but if it is anything like the coverage of CBB then I can't see them continuing to watch for THREE months!!

Marsh. 25-08-2011 09:19 PM

There is nothing to watch on live feed. Did you not see Emma's exclusive on how the show really works?

Blog Rider 25-08-2011 09:19 PM

I bet the backlash will go against them, People may not watch any Channel 5 shows unless they change there ways. For example people who are viewers of The Wright Stuff might decide they switch off that show as well as BB :)

billy123 25-08-2011 09:25 PM

The buzz has gone out of the whole thing its not just quiet on here and ds even their precious facebook page is relatively dead and some of the clips on the C5 website have only attracted 4-5 comments.
The show is dying a slow horrible death they need to change things and quickly the viewing figures seem to have held up ok but its becoming an effort to stay interested.

Incensed 25-08-2011 09:29 PM

BB has officially died!

BB fan signing out!

I noticed that on YouTube while some clips at the start got several thousand views later ones struggle to get more than 10 AND they are blocking UK viewers from seeing some!:conf:

I am not as bothered about BB as I used to be, but do feel sorry for those who love watching BB. The live feed is so needed to get even an inkling of what is going on in the BB house. CBB is a short run so not so bad, although bad enough without having live feed. But the proper BB 'needs' live feed. It doesn't have to be 24/7, just a reasonable amount would keep fans happy enough I'm sure.

I just don't understand C5's problem with providing live feed, which I am sure most fans would be happy to pay for. I watched launch night, but decided against bothering with twitters selective tidbits of CBB or the selective videos also, if they had live feed I would at least have given CBB a watch, but have decided to stick to reading the forums instead and leave it at that.

The only explanation is that it is partially 'scripted' and they are acting for certain amounts of time.

They might just as well pack all their celebrity actors off to hotels for the night and just call them in to rehearse and act out their 50 minute "show":hugesmile:

Vicky. 25-08-2011 09:50 PM

They have made a big mistake ignoring the core BB fans :/

I have a feeling the show may fail now

sword in the stone 25-08-2011 09:57 PM

Well, thats the end of that then. officially time to turn off.
