The entire CONCEPT of the book is that the people are in a prison-state and being manipulated by the higher powers(aka Big Brother). That's the whole concept. So the more manipulation BY Big Brother the MORE it holds true to the integrity and spirit of the concept. The whole point of Big Brother is that Big Brother is in absolute control and that it's not fair, and that you have to be especially clever to dodge everything that Big Brother is throwing at you. It was about the TV show, which I think we can all agree is far removed from the novel in every sense but its name. The concept of Big Brother (I'll be crystal clear, Big Brother THE TV REALITY SHOW) is that of winning competitions and manipulating others to avoid elimination and be the last houseguest standing. The lowest common denominator is that there is a level playing field that gives all houseguests an equal shot at winning the game within a constant framework. So-called "twists" like the latest one foisted upon us by AG that are clearly designed to give certain HGs an advantage do, in fact, go against the spirit of Big Brother (THE TV REALITY SHOW, in case it hasn't sunk in yet).

I agree this twist isn't fair for the record.

Buuut let's not get into the original BB concept shall we? Because the international versions including ours is far closer to it than the US version. But the US version is far more drama filled and dramatic to watch on a different level because of the changes.

I think is just productions way of trying to make sure an Adam doesn't make it to the final.

If Porsche was smart, she would get Adam voted out and then go after Racheal or Jordan next week when the other won't be able to get this free pass.

Great twist, however clear attempt at getting a more desired result, however:

A) The box doesnt have to be opened
B) It does state it 'releases' something good + bad in the house so I suppose they can work with what would most benefit the opener compared with what will most throw a spanner in their works...

I don't think the golden key rumour is true. As there is no other mention of it. And that would be too obvious. But it does means that if Rachel and Jordan win veto Adam and Shelly go up with Shelly probably going.
