This afternoon, all of the Celebrity Big Brother 2011 housemates will step into Jedward’s shoes as all experience life as the X Factor twosome. The stars will become paired up and turned into identical twins, with Big Brother requiring the pairs to connect and become as close as Jedward are1

Big Brother will call Jedward to the diary room and name them ‘Head Twins’ as the pair with the most twin-experience. They will then connect all other housemates together into the following pairings:

Perry = Paddy and Kerry (Kerry dressed as Paddy)
Darluc = Darryn and Lucien (Lucien dressed as Darryn)
Amara = Amy and Tara ( Tara dressed as Amy)
Pambob = Pamela and Bobby (Bobby dressed as Pamela)

Housemates must copy and mimic the characteristics of their dominant twin in order to impress the Head Twins. The pairs that are most alike will then go head-to-head (or heads-to-heads!) and their twintuition will be tested by Big Brother to find out if they can tell what their fellow twin is really feeling.

Jedward will be provided with a fish, a custard pie, a feather duster and an inflatable hammer all as implements to use to test the twin’s feelings and senses.

The twins that are most in tune with each other will be rewarded with a pamper hamper, bottle of champagne and matching pyjamas and slippers. These prizes are not to be shared with any other housemates.

Jedward are seriously ruining the series at the moment.

Pretty clear who the producers' favourites are!

If it is true they paid £500,000 for Jedward, even taking account that is for two people rather than one, it is almost certainly higher than fees the others are getting. Emma made a joke about this on BBBOTS... Lucien losing a £500 bet: "There goes his fee from Channel 5". :D

But they will want their money's worth from Jedward. The sponsors - manufacturers of spot creams (you can tell what age-group the market is targeted at! ;)) - will have some say in this.

It could be seen as taking the pîss out of Jedward of course! ;)

Really looking forward to it but I do have to agree, there are much better tasks that could be done. I fully accept this is a bit of overkill.
Overkill doesn't always help celebrities, there has been a lot of action involving them and around them.

I will naturally enjoy it and look forward to it because I do really like Jedward but I can understand others wanting more variation and also perhaps tasks that are not centred around them or indeed any of the celebrities in there like the Oz task.

It's all part of the big picture, i.e. Ch5's new reality show starring - guess who?

They did this idea in the last series where they had to imitate Ben. It wasn't good then so I don't know why they think it is good now.

Yes, as much as I like Ben, I didn't like them doing that. If anything it was a pi**take and did him more harm than good.

I don't think Jedward are the producers favourites at all, I think they are trying to do to them what they did to Ben. They want Jedward overkill to kill some of their popularity methinks, and maybe to push the other housemates to nominate Jedward next time, even?

It is just getting rificulous now the way they are centering on certain housemates, even ones I like.

This task is not exactly a Jedward task If any thing, it will make the others try to be funny. Jedward arent even really involved in the task.
I really dont see why eveyone is moaning about it This gives others a chance to shine, not Jedward!

its just too painful watching ch5 drag one of my favourite shows into the dregs.

Ill give the normal BB series a chance but Im not optimistic.

That's a good perspective on it actually. I didn't look at it that way I have to admit. Really good insight.

It's a task about twins not about Jedward,they don't have to become Jedward just try to work out what it's like to be twins.
