Trolley Dash

I was expecting a disaster when I heard Jedward had to do the shopping but I think they actually done quite well with the time they had, does anyone else?

Vicky. 02-09-2011 11:19 PM

I was laughing my head off at them actually :D

I seem to be back in a liking them phase. Though i doubt it will last

joeysteele 02-09-2011 11:19 PM

Yes, I do.

I was like that earlier too but the same as you I will probably hate them again tomorrow

Visage 02-09-2011 11:21 PM

I thought they did well, I was laughing all the way through it. I also loved how they woke everyone up at 3 in the morning.

snookered 02-09-2011 11:25 PM

Not bad if you like stir fried sweets for your breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Visage 02-09-2011 11:26 PM

I thought they did well to get the eggs only then later to hear them say they could have an egg fight.

They got some decent stuff to be fair, bread, milk, eggs, fruit, salad and chicken etc.

Oh did they? I never heard them say that

Patrick 02-09-2011 11:40 PM

It was hilarious, far better than Lisa and David or John James and JJ's trips out.

LOL They were like 'Guys basically, okay - we've got like loads of Bananas so we're getting a monkey, yeah and we've got like 16 packets of eggs... so we'll have an egg fight later, yeah.'

CaudleHalbard 02-09-2011 11:45 PM

I don't think we really know what they've got, do we?

I'm sure Darryn will moan like crazy! ;D

Locke. 02-09-2011 11:45 PM

I was hoping they would just get one packet of sweets so they had to starve all week

cookiemonster 02-09-2011 11:50 PM

probably one of the best tasks i've ever seen. love jedward.

i don't think the others would have done as well. they would have been too busy trying to get certain items and not actually ending up getting much.

joeysteele 02-09-2011 11:53 PM

They did far better than I would have done for sure.Timed trolley dashes are no good to me, I like to check dates on things and make sure nothings been opened at all. It would take me ages to fill a big trolley.

snookered 03-09-2011 01:05 AM

And well done to Lidl

Kerry 03-09-2011 02:04 AM

Yeah, I'm glad they actually tried to get what the others wanted. Seems they only missed two things. Hairdye and biscuits

rusticgal 03-09-2011 09:41 AM

They were more sensible about it than I thought they would be....

They do actually have a really nice side to them sometimes...and lets be honest they never swear.
Its just when they are so disrespectful and spoilt that I really despise them.

Not too difficult to be better than those though was it?

I thought they seemed to have plenty of time, and with them doing a run each and not at the same time they had less excuse to forget anything important. Maybe they edited it to make it look like they had less time and so increase the drama.

Seriously? It was hardly that original. And the two tasks to decide who actually got to do it were quite pathetic. A simple keep fit technique, and then a puerile pushing someone into some groceries (with a preamble that seemed to go on forever). In the context of those HLs the trolley dash was a highlight, but it wasn't a great HLs.

karezza 03-09-2011 10:50 AM

They got hundreds of bananas & no toilet roll.

Pyramid* 03-09-2011 11:21 AM

Two of them. Two Trollies.

What do they do.... one of them not taking part other than standing at his empty trolley: standing shouting instructions at the other one... whilst the other one spent the start of the dash, just running up and down an aisle with the empty trolley before being told by the other one (who was doing nothing), to stop pissing around and put food into the trolley..... as he himself stood immobile.

Complete and utter crap.

Weren't they told to just have one if then putting things in the trolley and the other one shouting, thought they took it in turns

Are you asking a question or are you stating this is was the case?

If they had to take it in turns: how successful was a few minutes trolley dash ever going to be then?

either way: I still found it a crap challenge - certainly in the way it was shown.

Josy 03-09-2011 12:27 PM

I'm sure one had to wait until the other returned before going to fill his trolley.

CaudleHalbard 03-09-2011 12:33 PM

Sometimes I wonder whether people actually watch the show! :D

John and Edward each had a trolley and they each went around separately filling the trolley, while the other one shouted encouragement via a megaphone.

So at the end there were TWO full trolleys. OK? ;)

You are right MTVN, they 'had' to take turns to go, one had to go first while the other yelled instructions and then the other had to do it after that.
That was the rules of it deemed by BB.

I know I couldn't have done much better in only 4 minutes between them both and I even forgot what half of the housemates had asked for either.

Well it was more of a statement but I didn't want to sound too sure about it  but going by what others have said I guess it was true that they had to take it in turns

Only one could go at a time, the other one HAD to wait.

Nikkos 03-09-2011 01:18 PM

I think they did quite well given the time they had

I think they did great, all in all it was a great task.

Jordan. 03-09-2011 01:25 PM

Do people have to try find fault in everything :bored:

Anyway I think MOST of us agree it was a brilliant task!

Some people will never be happy.

Suze 03-09-2011 01:28 PM

From what I can gather, they did really well in the time they were alloted :) They have food no matter what, so what is to complain about. The housemates only have to survive in that house another week at most anyway, then they can feast on whatever food they like.

Jordan. 03-09-2011 02:27 PM

:suspect:

Lets remain on the topic at hand. Jedward and the trollies :)

Iceman 03-09-2011 02:35 PM

Yes Marc

Jedward, 4 minutes, loads of food, did a great job.

Vicky. 03-09-2011 02:39 PM

I actually think it was a little unfair to limit them to one trolley each. One of them had the trolley overflowing and could hardly fit anything else in...surely if it was a 'grab all you can' kind of thing, they should have been able to do that.

yeah plus it was hard for them to move the trolley's towards the end they were so heavy....

Marc 03-09-2011 02:41 PM

I always wanted to go on Supermarket Sweep for this sort of task :D I would ruin that store
