Now... coming from a Madonna fan..... I'm disgusted at this.

Seems she forgets that if it wasn't for adoring fans...... she wouldn't be where she is.

I do think so too.... but to say it having been given them by a fan - when she gives a pathetic withering look to the person on her left, before then saying what she did.... she seems to forget if it wasn't for fans - she'd be skanking it up in some hovel in NY.

Totally agree......... at least have the dignity to keep your mouth shut and your private thoughts that will offend your fan to yourself and long enough until you are out of the way.

I am losing any respect I ever had for her: between the constant need to have 20 year old guys on her arm, from the mess she is making of her face (got to laugh: happy to inject all sorts of crap into her, fillers, botox etc - but stricty follows macrobiotic diets etc.)

I don't think it's that bad what she did, she smiled and thanked him, it's not like she threw them back in his face and told him it was a s**t present, it was just unfortunate that she didn't like the flowers he gave and that the microphone was on, she didn't intend to offend

Exactly, she got caught saying something she thought was a private conversation ffs I'm betting we're all guilty of similar stuff sometimes, we're just not being watched constantly.

Cant answer for anyone other than myself: but nope: I've not been in the public eye for about 35 years, completely utterly media savvy, accepted a gift from anyone and ever berated that gift until I am well out of the way.

as I said in my very early post: not only did she come away with the ungrateful comment... but before she did, she looks to her right ... spot the look, the eye contact she's making with that person, the raising of her eyebrows, the mouth action.... then she proceeds to turn to her left to make the comment. *or vice versa as far as left/right is concerned*

she didn't give a damn...clearly. she wanted people on both sides of her to know how much she did not appreciate the gesture. Cow.

Oh well, when you put it like that lets hang, draw and quarter her then! After 35 years experience no mis-judgment shall be tolerated!

Madonna's always been the same, she's never changed thank goodness. She has always been honest. What comes with honesty is not always liking what she says. Tough. It was said in a prvate conversation anyway.

She wasn't rude to the fan and politely accepted it. What she says in what she thought was a private moment is irrelevant. If any of us was handed a gift we didnt like we would say the exact same thing. No question.

Can't believe people are getting wound up by this non-story, considering all the stuff going on in the world. Threads like this make me wonder why 'news stories' was ever combined with 'serious debates'. This isn't even a news story, it's celebrity trivia.

I have to say also though, we have hydrangeas in our garden at home but its something I would never think of giving to someone,or lilies,without knowing or just having an idea they liked them first.

Shows how little you know about other forum members then Zippy.... I am actually is a HUGE Madonna fan.

Difference is: I have the ability to actually accept when someone I like has overstepped the mark as far as disrespecting her fan/s is concerned - I don't stumble along blithely ignoring when they screw up and make a mockery of the people that put her where she is.

dead simple Zippy...... if you think any thread is silly, about nothing - simply don't post in it - as I have been told by others (including the mods).
