:eek:What is Motown!!!

Ask your parents Jords. lol.

Mystic Mock 21-11-2011 04:27 PM

Marcus should definitely do well on this then,I think Janet is screwed though lol.

dannyboy 21-11-2011 04:27 PM

Allsorts of the greats are motown... Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Gladys Knight, the Four Tops, The Temptations, Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, etc. Think everyone left could hopefully deliver... I remember the year of Leona, week one was motown and at least half of them made a right mess of their songs!

abcd 21-11-2011 04:37 PM

looks like marcus is now the chosen one then, this theme is playing right into his hands

Mystic Mock 21-11-2011 04:49 PM

Tbf all the other themes have been in favour of other acts so far,so its only fair that a theme comes up that suits Marcus.

abcd 21-11-2011 04:54 PM

funny thing is he clearly doesnt need the help, been favourite for weeks, add this to the whole of liverpool backing him and i think this will be the weekend marcus wraps up the win!

Smithy 21-11-2011 10:41 PM

Another cliché theme for the quaterfinals

The X Factor quarter-final will have a Motown theme, say reports.

Misha B, Marcus Collins, Amelia Lily, Janet Devlin and Little Mix will tackle tracks from the Motown back catalogue next Saturday, according to This Morning's X Factor correspondent Jeff Brazier.

The final five will be performing two tracks each on Saturday for the first time in the competition.

Next Sunday's results show will feature guest performances from Xtra Factor host Olly Murs and Jessie J. It will also feature a rendition of the X Factor 2011 finalists' charity single 'Wishing on a Star'.

The X Factor quarter-final kicks off on Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.
sigh

Tom 21-11-2011 10:57 PM

I liked Motown weeks when the show was irrelevant and had contestants like The Unconventionals and Kerry in the wheelchair back in 2006 but it annoys me now

Ninastar 21-11-2011 11:00 PM

-likes this theme-

:suspect:

Tom4784 21-11-2011 11:16 PM

I'm guessing there will be two themes.

Ryan. 21-11-2011 11:35 PM

The other theme is "Club Classics" again, ffs.

They are truly cocking this up.

Hopefully this time it actually is club classics and they have Misha doing something like Numb/Encore instead of Proud Mary, Amelia doing something like Show Me Love, Janet doing House of Pain etc :joker: Would also love to see Marcus do When Love Takes Over by Kelly

Jack_ 22-11-2011 12:33 AM

Big Band Week needs to return, that was always one of, if not the best.

Kerry 22-11-2011 12:36 AM

So who's for Michael Jackson and who Diana Ross?

Jords 22-11-2011 12:52 AM

I used to dislike Big Band Week in the early series (probably my age) then I grew to love it :joker:

Id love an Acoustic Week too!

Mystic Mock 22-11-2011 04:16 PM

I dont want Club Classics again.

I think the theme should be,sing a song in the month that you was born in week.

Ryan. 22-11-2011 04:36 PM

Yea I totally lied I have no idea what this weeks other theme is. :P

From the X Factor website

Quote:

Yes, this weekend, our scrumptious Final Five will be taking on a funky Motown classic from the likes of the legendary Jackson 5 and one finalist in particular will be hoping to hit the high notes with a timeless Diana Ross hit.

Expect the unexpected on Saturday as our finalists brush their hair into their finest 'fros and pull out all the stops to put on the show of their lives. Dramarama!

Will Janet impress again with the right balance between Upbeat and ballad? Can Little Mix hit the high notes for another week? And just how many times will Kelly say "You owned that stage gurl!"

And this week the finalits will be aiming to impress THREE very special guests on Sunday's show; the wonderful Kelly Clarkson, the Motown inspired and very dapper Bruno Mars as well as a special hip hop treat from Proffessor Green.

And the only way to see what happens is to tune into ITV1 at 8.15pm on Saturday to see our Finalists take to our famous X Factor stage once more.

And as if that wasn't enough pressure for our Final Five, the contestants will also be aiming to show how much they have grown as artists with the second theme of Audition Songs. The judges will be looking for acts which have truly improved, as the competition reaches its final stage.

Excitement has already reached fever-pitch here at the X Factor studios, so we can't imagine how you are all feeling at home!

Cancel your plans, put the mobiles on silent, shut the curtains and hang a Do Not Disturb sign outside - this is one weekend of X Factor mania you will not want to miss.
Hmm interesting...

Callum 22-11-2011 05:09 PM

Audition songs could be good actually, that hasn't been done before has it?

Ryan. 22-11-2011 05:11 PM

I don't think so Callum, should be a good one!
Pity we can't speculate on song choice now... :D

That's not a bad idea, but it'd only be good after Kitty was gone. :p
