What is your absolute favourite Christmas Song?

There's probably a thread on this somewhere but, what is your all time favourite Christmas Song?

Mine

Don't let the bells end/I believe in Father Christmas/Christmas Wrapping

Pyramid* 06-12-2011 01:44 PM

I find this too hard.....

I like some for sentimental reasons, another for the fun Christmas spirit, another for the nostalga etc.

Though cant beat this one when in the pub with a few shandies down your neck - gets everyone into the mood.

King Gizzard 06-12-2011 01:45 PM

^^ That is my least favourite by a mile...

King Gizzard 06-12-2011 01:46 PM

Out of Wizzard and Slade..slade win handsdown for me..

Glenn. 06-12-2011 01:51 PM

I was out Christmas Eve one year. Clubbing on Christmas Eve, what was I thinking? :bored:

...and All I Want For Christmas Is You came on and everyone in the club was singing/shouting it. It was really good.

Everytime I hear it now, my mind goes back to that night. I was so drunk:joker:

Pyramid* 06-12-2011 01:51 PM

What's the one that was a kinda sad one - guy sings about being on battlefied (I think) and not sure if he's going to make it home - that always reminded me of Xmas - male singer, 70's song I think.

Damn, I can envisage the guy, can't recall his name (guy had quite a long face, dark hair).

auld age disnae come along.

anyway: I like that one too.....

Do you remember the song used in an advert ? I can't remember if it was John Smiths or Hofmeister.

Fraid not...was in Saudi at the time when the song came out (which is why the song strikes chords....boom boom)
- if the ad was around that time?

I hadn't a real favourite until last year and Kazanne led me to 'I believe in Father Christmas by Greg Lake', I really love that one and would say that's my favourite one.
