Finalists to perform with their mentors for duets?

Just seen this all over Twitter, though nothing official as of yet.

Mystic Mock 07-12-2011 11:23 PM

Oh god no,Gary finally gets his wish of Marcus singing a Take That song if its true.

MTVN 07-12-2011 11:24 PM

Thought for a minute we might get to see Louis on stage singing away but then remembered he has no acts left :(

Locke. 07-12-2011 11:24 PM

It would be great but I doubt it will happen

joeysteele 07-12-2011 11:27 PM

If that is going to happen then its a good job Louis doesn't have an act in the final then.

That's the image I had too,:joker:

Looking likely

Quote:

According to The Mirror, Lily and Rowland will sing Tina Turner's 'River Deep, Mountain High', while Little Mix and Contostavlos will perform a medley of Alicia Keys's 'If I Ain't Got You' and 'Empire State Of Mind'.

Collins and Barlow are said to still be undecided on their duet track, but have been rehearsing a number of songs, including Take That's 'Never Forget' and 'Greatest Day'.

"It's going to be more pressured than ever," an insider said. "The acts will be singing in front of 10,000 people - and with their mentors.

"The judges will be nervous as well because the song could be the difference between winning and losing.

"And on top of that, Simon Cowell will be watching from LA. So the judges are almost auditioning for their places on next year's show as well."

Mystic Mock 08-12-2011 02:18 AM

Poor Little Mix having to sing with Tulisa, she will hold them back horrifically.

Jords 08-12-2011 02:37 AM

Marcus at a big advantage if this is the case.

Visage 08-12-2011 06:38 AM

I love this idea.

Will be really interesting to see the act performing with their mentors.

Strictly Jake 08-12-2011 08:46 AM

Yeah but its not exactly exciting for the acts. Im pretty sure little mix would rather sing with jessie j than tulisa etc

Kate! 08-12-2011 09:27 AM

I predicted this a while ago.

Black Dagger 08-12-2011 09:50 AM

What a ****ing horrible final this is shaping up to be.

Buble, 1D, Leona, JLS and now Barlow and Rowland again.

Aaw, I think it will be good..........would like to see Jessie J join Tulisa and Little Mix for their song.

Niamh. 08-12-2011 09:54 AM

I really like that idea

Adamw92 08-12-2011 11:44 AM

Please let this not be true

Jordan. 08-12-2011 11:46 AM

Marcus will definitely be winning then if true.

bbfan1991 08-12-2011 11:55 AM

Good idea if true...

Marcus will probably win in this case. Little Mix are my favourites now but in the long run I think they will benefit from not winning the show!

Kate! 08-12-2011 11:57 AM

I think the final three all have a great shot at making it afterwards whether they win or not. All are talented, I would be happy for any of them really. Just would pee me off a bit for Kelly to be the winning Judge seeing as she got rid of Amelia, and so doesn't deserve it.

bbfan1991 08-12-2011 12:02 PM

True, although i'm not looking forward to how smug Gary will be if Marcus wins:(.

Marc 08-12-2011 12:05 PM

What a disgustingly arrogant proposal if this is true.

Marc 08-12-2011 12:06 PM

Just a query..

If Gary is writing the winners song, what's to stop him from making it really bias toward his own act, Marcus?

Callum 08-12-2011 12:21 PM

How cheap

The winners song is Cannonball, Marcus said it in an interview this week

Oh so my rumour was right! I had loads of people moaning and saying I was wrong and that Gary was writing the song.

Smithy 08-12-2011 12:29 PM

****ing fix :bored:

watch gary and marcus perform last as well

Tregard 08-12-2011 12:38 PM

How would this have worked exactly if any of Louis's acts had made it through?

I would rather watch Louis and Johnny than any of the three pairs we're going to get

Kate! 08-12-2011 12:46 PM

I think they should have stuck with what they did last year and had individual winners songs suited to each act. Songs that suit Marcus are hardly likely to be fitting for Amelia and Little Mix and vice versa. Stupid decision.

Niamh. 08-12-2011 12:49 PM

I think Little Mix could do Cannonball pretty well actually

Brother Leon 08-12-2011 01:37 PM

Simon needs to swallow his pride and let Little Mix perform with Dappy & Fazer.

Locke. 08-12-2011 01:58 PM

Gary and Marcus are performing She's Always a Woman by Billy Joel

:conf: good point #fix factor at work again lol.

Only heard a few bars of cannonball, but don't like it much. As for the duos, BARLOW MAY WELL PULL MORE WEIGHT than Tulisa or Kelly in terms of TT fans votes. Come to think of it, lard-bucket pulls more weight anyways! :joker:

Lard bucket?? He's lost loads of weight recently, he's as skinny as anything. And TT fans don't need Gary to sing for us to vote for Marcus, most of them do it anyways.

MeMyselfAndI 08-12-2011 03:47 PM

How spineless are TT fans then? Only share garys opinion

Locke. 08-12-2011 03:50 PM

Little Mix will win now anyway, because Tulisa can actually sing and will surprise the majority of people and make it a good performance

Strictly Jake 08-12-2011 04:06 PM

I really hope little mix do win. I think cannonball is a good song choice for winners single. Think they all can put their own spin on it

Tom4784 08-12-2011 04:19 PM

I so wished that Kitty had made the final now.

Spineless? Excuse you. We actually think Gary's been a bit of a douche lately and want him to get as far away from X Factor as possible. And people vote for who they want, I'm just saying TT fans would vote for Marcus because he's Gary's act, doesn't mean all of them or we wouldn't vote for other acts. And a lot of TT fans like Marcus anyway, besides the fact he's Gary's act.
