A Speech More Inspirational Than Martin Luther King's

"I'm different. I'm not here to win the competition, I'm here to be Andrew Stone. If they want to put me up and I go out then I will go out with my head held high being Andrew Stone. I'm not gonna change, I'm gonna be me.... I've just been misread most of my life, so I get it. I'm not afraid to cry or feel emotional about it so don't feel sorry for me at all, because I'm a tough fucker. A real man can cry, and that's who I am.

And I'll brush myself down and I'll rise again, that's who I am.

He is so inspirational :worship:

this is not the greatest bb quote of all time

nor is it more inspirational than MLK's :idc:

Brother Leon 10-01-2012 12:38 AM

The last line was truly epic.Especially as the BB theme had just started to kick in then.

He's been a suprisingly brilliant CBB housemate so far imo. I expected him to be a bit of a drama queen after his brief appearance on BB11, but I never expected this much entertainment value.

When I used to watch Pineapple Studio's it made me cringe to see Andrew prancing about as though he was some superstar, it was sad to see someone who can't separate reality from cloud cock-coo land. If he'd just tone it down the play acting a wee bit & be himself maybe I might like him more.

Colbert-Bump 10-01-2012 03:41 AM

We need to keep him in.

SharkAttack 10-01-2012 03:43 AM

After he was finished, I wondered aloud, "where is Georgia's montage and her heartfelt words of sheer desperation?" But alas, it was once again all about Andrew and Andrew alone. Admittedly, I want him to stay because this **** is priceless.

Beautiful words from the Stone.

joeysteele 10-01-2012 09:18 AM

He does think he is far better than he is, he believes he is super talented and a huge success, nothing wrong with thinking that but he is sort of deluding himself.

However, he is a very interesting character I think and I have no dislike for him so would like him to stay this week. He allowed being nominated to really pull him down in the dumps, hopefully he will get back on track and hopefully take more interest in his other housemates rather than always profiling himself and building himself up to be something he isn't and also is not likely to be.

He needs to be honest with himself and then the others will warm more to him.He has to see he cannot be the centre of attention all the time, that is a turn off to the others there.

The speech was easily my favourite moment of the series so far. Even reading it back now is making me laugh! This guy has gotta say in. Sorry Georgia, you're ridiculously fine, but it's Andrew Stone time. This is his stage now...

Livia 10-01-2012 09:33 AM

Jezuz... it was like Gun Fight at the Cliché Corral.

I was expecting him to end with "The sun'll come out, tomorrow... Bet yer bottom dollar that tomorrow... there'll be sun..." all complete with jazz hands, naturally.

Words can't describe what a total arse I think he is. God, I hope he stays. He'll drive the others i-n-s-a-n-e!

:joker::joker: I was half expecting him to jump up, start dancing and singing in the diary room too. :joker:

stay strong andrew!lol

I really don't get the hate for Andrew. It seems to me that it's predominatly based around prejudice about him being 'fake' when we have no proof of that at all.

So with that logic, would it be a fair assumption to make that Gareth Thomas is straight? He's one of the straightest looking (and acting) guys in there.

No, that would not be a fair assumption to make about Gareth... unless you've never met a real live gay person and think they're all flamboyant. What a strange analogy to make...

Apologies. Just re-read the post. I thought your post was referring to his sexuality rather than him being fake.

Guess the point i was trying to make was that i don't understand why some people are making negative comments towards Andrew because he hasn't "come out".

Like, crying with laughter you mean, obviously.

Roy Mars III 10-01-2012 11:08 AM

This guy is just brilliant tv. The montage with the sad music playing and Andrew just talking about himself is probably the best moment in Big Brother history. Even better than Science throwing a rubbish bin at Maxwell
