The track is the lead single from the Queen of Pop's new studio album 'MDNA', which will be released on March 26, but singer Joao Brasil claims that the singer stole the chorus from his own song 'L.O.V.E. Banana'.

According to Jam, Brasil's record company are contemplating suing Madonna, but he is reluctant to take legal action as she is one of his idols. Speaking to Brazilian newspaper Folha da Sao Pauolo, he said:

I still don't understand what happened. I'm a huge fan of hers. If it's plagiarism, then even better. She is always at the cutting edge of music, so it's a good sign about what I do.



Explaining his hesitancy to become involved in a legal dispute, meanwhile, he added: "It's in their [the record label's] hands, they're looking at how to proceed and what they can do. But personally I don't want to do anything. The last thing I need in my life is a fight with Madonna."

Madonna doesn't need to copy anyone, it would make more sense people copying her work. She is awesome and has been for decades now.

The member Smithy was baiting and I find it hilarious how a Gaga fan can say "so unoriginal" when Gaga copied Express Yourself for the song Born This Way. It's just hypocritical.

Erm, I actually like Gaga and her music but her fans are so deluded in that they believe Gaga is the only artist with originality on the planet.

Don't get why you a saying GaGa fans in general are all deluded. If I'm basing all Madonna fans on you I could say they take it really personally when she's insulted and bring up GaGa every time as their argument.

her casual fans who wouldn't classify themselves as "Monsters" don't. Fans like the member Smithy are who I'm on about, to them Gaga is the ultimate original artist who sets new boundaries in the pop world when in fact it's all been done before.

No I wouldn't have. I only bring her up when Gaga fans slag off Madonna unnecessarily because it's plain hypocritical. Gaga has been influenced by Madonna which she's been open about in the past and it's obvious in her work. When BTW was first released, loads of people were picking up on the similarities between itself and Express Yourself so for a Gaga fan to comment on this with "so unoriginal" is laughable.

I was quite surprised when you didn't condem Nicki Minaj from "ripping off Gaga" at the Grammys, saying that Minaj ripped off Madonna from that performance.

My post was aimed towards Smithy, that's why I quoted his post but it seems to be a common occurrence on here that once you criticise Gaga, the whole group of Gaga fans on this forum get involved, like a pack of wolves to defend Queen Gaga.
