Quick Hello

Hey everyone,

Long time BBUK fan here, and lurker of this board. Finally decided to sign up and get active here. I live in Canada and, let me tell you, its a struggle sometimes to keep up with everything, but I've always turned to TIBB for my fix.

Anyways, just wanted to say a quick hello and introduce myself, this season is shaping up nicely :xyxwave:

welcome to the forum!:wavey:

Hi Matthew. Welcome to the forum. Have you been a long time lurker?

joeysteele 22-06-2012 12:03 AM

I hope you really enjoy posting on the forum and a big welcome to you.

MatthewS 22-06-2012 12:04 AM

Thanks guys :)

I've been watching BBUK since Season 3 (gawd how I miss Davina), have family in the UK and got hooked when I was over visiting. Since then its been a struggle every season catching every episode and BOTS, but I manage alright. Been checking out this board for probably 5+ years now. Only for BBUK though, can't get into the American version.

Now I've got to get to work on a fancy avatar/signature combo :P

Mrluvaluva 22-06-2012 12:34 AM

You've been watching BB for a while then. What do you think of the current series so far?

Kizzy 22-06-2012 12:36 AM

hello :)

It's picking up, been a bit slow so far. I'm not convinced yet that they have the right mix of housemates, for this season to be a real cracker. I think the last truly amazing season was probably 10, just so many personalities and characters. A few very noticeable 'floaters' this year as well it seems, who just go with the flow and don't really contribute anything. Fingers crossed thought that we'll be pleasantly surprised in the end.

I'm sure I'll get ridiculed for saying this, and I'm not sure I quite believe it myself, but I'm finding myself developing a soft spot for Caroline. :blush2:

I think they have had it easy the first couple of weeks, and since the change on the rules of nominations yesterday, I think we have seen some personality clashes going on. I hope this is a change in Big Brother's tactics, as they need to start playing with them. I'm not sure about Caroline yet personally. I am in two minds about her. I don't dislike her though.

Like all new-comers, I need to know if we can be friends or not based on your favourite house-mates  (I don't, but it's a nice thing to ask)

7 favourite house-mates, plz xD.

Hai, btw.

Oh Hai ! :xyxwave:

Of all time? (I'm assuming we're excluding celebrity here, because that would be a whole lot tougher)

in no particular order:
Aaron (legend)
Anton
Maisy
Freddie
Siavash
Pete
Shell
Steph

Did I pass the exam? :joker:

Redway 22-06-2012 03:18 PM

So my TIBB experience is about 5 days old now. Already at 100+ posts.

I absolutely love this community to bits, should have registered much sooner, but I'm a little curious about something...

Does the BBUK13 board not have moderators? I've noticed a bunch of times that certain members will create numerous threads about the same subject, in an attempt to push their own agenda. I mean, fair play that you don't like someone and want to create a thread about it, but does it really need to be done 10 times? That must be against the rules, no? And if the rules are being broken, should that person not be suspended/banned?

Not trying to start a fight with anyone in particular, just something I've noticed. I think everyone would benefit from a board that wasn't so clustered with multiple threads from members pushing their own agendas...

rayheartbliss 27-06-2012 03:16 PM

hellloooooooooo

Maia 27-06-2012 03:19 PM

How could I not say a fond hello to one of the greatest new members this year :worship:

Welcome to TiBB Matthew!

Welcome good sir.

I'm sorry to tell you that the only moderators in the BB section are Josy and Niamh, both of whom don't even know how to look at reported posts, so we are left to fend for ourselves in that cesspit I'm afraid

I hope so! I want to be entertained, not put to sleep!

MatthewS 27-06-2012 03:35 PM

Hahaha you guys are awesome

Yeah I guess the mods are probably overwhelmed and outnumbered. I get it. Take the good with the bad, no biggie.

It's true Caroline seems to have a lot of people that truly despise her. Which is completely cool of course. She's not everyones cup of tea, just like other housemates might not be mine (isn't that the beauty of BB anyways?).

Just don't make 10 threads about the same thing, you know? I'd be equally turned off if I saw it happening to any housemate, it just isn't necessarily.

Thanks for the input guys, back to the war zone :dance2:

Mrluvaluva 27-06-2012 03:36 PM

Vanessa. Those last two posts are a contradiction in terms surely? Or maybe I am just reading it wrong?

She does make me laugh sometimes. I suppose she's a bit spoilt, but at least she's a good housemate. :)
