20 years old and...

Still going for the little girl lost act- grow up, you are meant to be an adult FFS and not a child:rolleyes:.

Jords 15-07-2012 01:02 PM

I think people can still be discovering themselves long past 20.

smartalec2718 15-07-2012 01:03 PM

I'm 20 years old and I am definitely not an adult yet...in fact I see a lot of myself in Lauren, I feel like she's at a vulnerable point in life where she's working on figuring out exactly who she is.

Maybe she doesn't have a clear sense of identity and so she feels like she has nothing solid to rely on in the house, so things affect her more.

20 is still very young, and while it doesn't mean she should use that as an excuse to be childish (as Becky does - 'I'm only 19' - :bored:), I think you should cut her some slack.

serensilver 15-07-2012 01:28 PM

You could say the same about caroline then the way she was with the whole Benedict relieving himself talk was pathetic for an adult......

Marcus. 15-07-2012 01:30 PM

i feel sorry for her

rusticgal 15-07-2012 01:31 PM

Caroline behaves more like a baby....

Shaun 15-07-2012 01:31 PM

I think she's quite childish but that's not necessarily a terrible trait. I assume she's an only child?

But she's essentially a good person. You can't say that for many of the housemates. She's not macchiavellan, she's not manipulative and she's not aggressive. She's quite naive and wants to be liked and to have attention... it's annoying, yes, but I believe she's a really nice person.

optimisticcynic 15-07-2012 01:32 PM

When Becky says "I'm only 19..." I don't think she's referring to her age! Miaow!!!

good lord, Ive never known a more self aware person....doing handstands with splits, parading around in no clothing, lets be honest here its been one of the coldest wettest summers on record, but Lauren has still managed to wear a bikini ALOT..roly polying in a bikini into the DR... stripping off her hoodie last night after cakegate to reveal...oh yes another bikini before going off to have a sob and a chat to the cameras in the bathroom..oh how very naive of you Lauren...

Vicky. 15-07-2012 01:38 PM

Meh. A lot of people dont know themselves at 20...hell some are still discovering themselves at 40 :joker:

The only thing that annoys me about lauren is her damn moanyness (if thats a word). Throws the toys out of the pram at the slightest little thing and seems to think tears will get her everywhere. Also she is NOT this tomboy she makes out, way too girly for that ;)

well thank god you're not watching a show that single-handedly encourages such behaviour then.

I'm sure she has a sister called Danielle who was in the task room in the 100 points task

thesheriff443 15-07-2012 01:40 PM

she looks all grown up with her great body but she is still a little girl inside.

dathadiguy 15-07-2012 01:40 PM

I'm sorry, the whole stripping down into her bikini before positioning herself in front of a camera and delivering her 'poor me' monologue seems like she is very self-aware to me.

Not a bloody chance

She plays on the tomboy thing...all the 'noones ever told me they find me attractive' and other rubbish. Looks way more girly than ANY of the others on eviction nights, always posing in bikinis...etc etc

I do think she gets on better with blokes, but that alone does not make you a tomboy.

...lets face it if Ash did half the things Lauren does, the shouts of SLUT, SLUT would be issued before she could finish that handstand...St Lauren cant put a foot wrong, the childlike innocent that she is...:joker:

WCR1942 15-07-2012 01:45 PM

One must bear in mind her background. Since early childhood she has lived in the gymnastics/martial arts world. Go to any club during training sessions and you will see young girls, suddenly, without any provocation, leaping about, often wearing litte clothing.
This develops a state of mind which Lauren exhibits beautifully.

She is.
Shes into very contact sports, She hates shopping, She loves watching any football game, her dress sense is mainly trackies unless special occasions, i.e. eviction nights as you stated. She gets on a lot better with guys. All of these combined make her dress a tomboy

I think the operative word there is training sessions...

Vicky. 15-07-2012 01:48 PM

Haha whatever. :D

As I said, I quite like her except for her tendency to moan about everything. But 'IMO' she is not a tomboy.

Yayita 15-07-2012 01:50 PM

She is a tomboy and boys like that about her. Either way, she is lovely and I adore her the way she is.

optimisticcynic 15-07-2012 01:51 PM

Attractive woman who craves reassurance and attention and is disliked and ostracised by other women who find her preference for male company a threat. At times cries when feels targeted, and at times cries to gain affection or sympathy. Has an awesome body, is aware of this and is able to use this to her advantage when she feels this is necessary. She's not exactly reinventing the wheel here and I think is behaving in a similar fashion to a good number of women in the outside world whom we probably all love/admire/respect. Why are people targeting normal behaviour on here and minimising threats of sexual violence ("he was wound up and just venting")?

WCR1942 15-07-2012 01:56 PM

Cherie @21
"...lets face it if Ash did half the things Lauren does,".......
but she couldn't. She has almost no musculature, is over-concerned with her appearance, shows none of the persistence required to achieve high-level sporting success. Apparently the only sport Ashleigh might excel at is the 'water' variety.

Ive never championed Conor, and never would, and that subject has been done to death on a number of other threads, so please lets not turn this thread into another one.

The point here is that some believe believe Lauren is a "child" and is not aware of the effect her fantastic body has on men... and some other people beg to differ....in some ways there is not a lot of difference between Ash and Lauren, except that Lauren is much better at playing the game than Ash who is following the tried and tested showmance route, whereas Lauren is playing Lolita...

I meant in the house...:conf: if Ashleigh asked Luke S to watch her doing handstands...would we all be saying...how naive?

Absolutely agree, I thought the same.

optimisticcynic 15-07-2012 02:13 PM

Lauren is fit and can sway people whether consciously or not. Where's the crime in that? She's nice enough and not as venomous as some of the others. I probably wouldn't go for a pint with her on a Saturday night but that's my preference.

Jords 15-07-2012 02:13 PM

Lauren is a tomboy but not a massive tomboy like she tries to project on people. I think her voice helps.

Josy 15-07-2012 02:13 PM

I like her but she does come across as childish and moans too much and I think that could possibly be her downfall.

InOne 15-07-2012 02:21 PM

She's the most genuine in there, there isn't a bad bone in her body. Ash, Becky, Deana and Sara all seem to have chips on their shoulders and Caroline is just on another planet. So what if she wears a bikini some of the time, it's up to her what she feels comfortable in. I imagine all the jumping around and stuff is cos she's bored, remember there isn't much to do in there a lot of the time. And yes, she is a tomboy.

Kizzy 15-07-2012 02:35 PM

She is a spoilt daddies girl, she suggested she 'flirt with luke' to get back at ashleigh.
she gyrates around adam and luke A to keep them interested in her ....
Mark my words she will get more outrageous.
