well Im flabberghasted?
how the heck did that happen?
any explanations?
she was miles ahead (75% to his 25% on every poll I read)
yet he won?

why? how? was there a problem with the phone lines or did joe public see things massively different to us?

did the audience turn against her over the adam situation? seems a bit harsh?

I fear its simply down to the whole sex change thing, just like nadia another mind bogglingly boring housemate who won only because of that issue imho

luke a has been boring plain and simple, who are these people who would go out of their way to vote for him? Thats the biggest surprise result I can recall in ages, maybe ever

Because forums only make up a small percentage of viewers, so things wont always go the way the forum polls suggest?

Lauren fans seemed very vocal on forums. But I could see how the childish and flirty nature of her could turn some of the general audience against her.

He won it fair and square because the people who wanted him to stay picked up the phone and voted for him

i was shocked too but happy anyway that she got the best reception so far, voted for her but still happy for luke anyway, tbh i think a lot of people simply didnt vote this week because in general those two were not the favourites to be evicted

Neither should have been up. Why do BB **** up nominations? Don't do these stupid tasks BB! Just plain and simple nominations EVERY WEEK. No stupid immunity task. Whoever discusses nominations should AUTOMATICALLY BE UP. No pussy footing around. "Ohhh ohhh no hot water now". Hardly a punishment.

I think a lot of people thought she was playing Adam, which is a shame because i don't think she was, i just think she found a group of friends and he happened to have a crush on her. (i've been in that situation before).

But i think in the end i think alot of people see Luke A as the leader of the Outsiders, so they kept him in because they want the Outsiders to do well and he is stronger than her.

I'm hoping Luka A will take this opportunity and run with it and do his best to try to get Sara and Scott over to the outsiders.

We cannot have an all insiders final.

I really hope we do not have another all outsiders eviction next week. If BB is fixed, I hope they fix it so that the Outsiders have some chance at making it to the finals.

If it's an all Insiders Final i will be so annoyed.

A lot of people who liked lauren also like luke, and vice versa. So are unlikely to have even voted. I doubt c5 made much cash off this eviction tbh

I agree, i think Luke A and Lauren have the same fans, so i doubt there were many people voting. Neigther have done anything to be hated, which is why we've seen the first eviction without Booing.

Lauren was so cute and sweet on BOTS too. So genuine, even Shevionne seemed to warm to her.

I think it's down to people thinking she was safe. That's probably how Arron ended up leaving too. (Not that I'm complaining about the latter)

fat/ugly girls who were jelly of her body probably had a lot to do with it, the fat girls always hate the skinny girls lol

Makes a change from XXXXX will stay because he is fit and the tweenies/fat housewives will love him though. Then again that rumour was nipped in the bud pretty early on when Arron left wasnt it, so gotta throw the jealous women line in there somewhere ;)

LOL yeah, nadia was anything but boring tbh, in her BB she was one of the standout personalities throughout the whole show, even without her 'secret'

I genuinely have no idea. I'm really sad that lauren's been evicted, she was much more interesting than luke a. I wonder if she would have still gone in a three-way+ eviction.

Its the 1st time in ages that i actually feel sad about a housemate leaving, she will be missed.

I was totally shocked that Lauren was evicted.

I didnt vote Luke because I thought he was a goner anyway plus I like them both almost equally.. maybe a lot more Lauren fans thought the opposite (she was definitely safe) and the Luke A fans pushed harder even if they liked Lauren a lot too.

BB wanted ADAM to be the sheriff but Cocky Conor decided he was more of a cowboy than an actual American Gangsta. :(

I didn't vote as i didn't want either of them to go and i imagine that the control (or non control) by the production team has resulted in very poor takings on the phone lines !!

But to answer the proverbial question, I think you have some of the answers yourself, above.
It wasn't a fix in voting terms, but she was up against an ex-woman who just 'wants to be accepted'. NADIA IN REVERSE, IF YOU WILL. The show last week was heavily edited in his favour.
As surely as the insiders put her up, it was her own mates who had as big an effect on her demise.
Luke a with his speach and his chicken outfit, and his asking adam to ask her.......
Adam DOING JUST THAT....it meant the sympathy vote was going to luke a.
Finally deana, who had already eaten into her lead, (lauren was still third favourite to win when she left!) thanks to the conor/arron sympathy vote thing.
So she was up against it, and though I thought she would still beat the desperate luke a, she fell just short. Shame, but there you go.

simply put it was a lose/lose situation
i dont think to many people bothered to vote
if bb published the voting figures everybody would see how few people do actually vote
this is why they played games with the nominations on monday
this is what happened with conor v shiv nobody voted for shiv so conors family got him saved

good point and well said - not everyone that watches BB uses these forums - far from it - and you will find most people that do use them have some sort of chip on there shoulder because all the hate against LukeA is unjust in my op-ion as i have seen nothing but Nice from lukeA.

I was surprised I never realised he had a strong enough fan base to keep him in. Perhaps its the whole sex change thing, things like that tend to pull on the heart strings of the voters!. I also feel he played a smart move in the lead up to the eviction by making up with the housemates that didn't like him, wether that was a game planned move or not it was certainly a smart ploy by Luke to do that!

I really hated having Luke A and Lauren up against each other as I like them both - I did vote for Luke A to stay as I think he is an honest genuine guy but it surprised me that he stayed in I must say - I thought Lauren had it in the bag.

Luke A seems a lovely guy, and hopefully that's why he has such support. Lauren would have had similar support. The transgender issue is minor in terms of votes and I don't see why this has to be latched onto to explain his success. As I see it, a good housemate is a good person who is in the house as opposed to someone who has a fake relationship, causes trouble and strife by bitching, or lies and schemes at every opportunity.
I think the difference in votes is reflected within the actual house, where some of the public that may have voted for them were lost due to:

Lauren
1. jealousy and disliking her as a result eg Ashleigh
2. resentment due to previous rebuttals of affection (men identifying with Adam's experience and feeling she is a tease, though I think she wasn't that bad)

Luke
1. Not really done much to be misconstrued or seen as a threat as had not yet bared his teeth as he did with Becky.

Hence Lauren would have lost more potential votes in an eviction where both were hopefully well-liked. As someone else said, like them both and am happy she got a good reception.

Sorry, but I think her PT behaviour with Adam was disgusting to a lot of people. You can't tease a Man like that and then say you're one of the lads and he can't fancy you. She admitted on BBBOT that she was deliberately teasing him when she did that split-legged handstand and she was laughing about it. Am I the only one who heard her say that? (in her interview with Emma, after they showed the handstand/semi-erect clip)

If you liked them both then why did you vote for Luke A if you thought Lauren had it in the bag? Surely it would be a wasted vote? Genuine question. Perhaps you weren't the only one who voted for him but didn't think he'd stay.

This eviction reminded me of when Arron and Chris faced each other this series, Chris was beating Arron everywhere you looked yet Arron stayed.:conf:

My personal opinion is that I think Ch5 go on Facebook and vote on there.

My somewhat iffy Conspiracy Theory on the matter;

Because they (the viewers & voters) were pissed off with how the noms went and the end result (2 favourites up who were both outsiders) many people abstained from voting last week.

I can't help wondering if maybe BB evicted the favourite of the two nominees to kinda' send a "look what can happen if you don't vote" message to the viewers and also with a bit of "that'll teach you to f.uck with our vote cash income ya bastards" type thing.

I know it's a bit of a stretch but i really wouldn't put it past the people who are 'running' BB this year. They clearly have no respect for the viewers and voters and i think it really pissed them off that we hit them in the only way we could after everything else failed.

Ponder on it peeps.
Anyone think there could be any truth in this theory or am i just waaaay off the mark ? :shrug:
