Why do some women hate Deana?
 

Jealousy has s big part to play in the negative response from some women.*

When was the last time any of them were won *a beauty pageant ? Chances are they never made a top five.*

And don't give me this BS about some old dude asking for your number down the bingo hall. Or someone telling you that you look like the pretty one out of the golden girls.*

If it wasn't Deana then they would target Sara. Bottom line they can't handle the sight of good looking women in the BB house. They want all the young men for themselves.*

Deana has been shown in a bad light in the last few day, but this has been going on a lot longer.*

BB will always have pretty young women, deal with it!!!

History shows that girls that enter pageants are seriously in need of loves and cuddles. Good golfers dont brag, good footballers dont brag, pretty women dont need confirmation by parading themselves as objects. Women hate anyone they feel has gotten adoration and for no reason. Jealousy yes

It's too simplistic to say that 'women are jealous of other women'. Some women are jealous of other women and some are not. Lots of (straight) women can appreciate other women's beauty without any problems.

I seriously hate this jealousy argument. No doubt there are a few sad old ugly munters sitting at home hating on every pretty young thing that appears on their TV screen, but those will be very much the minority. So much in the minority that its not even worth speaking about it...like theres probably 5, in the whole viewing figures.

I understand if some don't like her personality as they're entitled to their opinion. But when people try to belittle someone because of their 'acne', there's no explanation other than jealousy.

Jealousy is as old as time and an emotion that we all feel. Those of us who can admit it and acknowledge we have it are less likely to be controlled by it. Or likely to display the insanity associated with it.
It isn't necessarily about what someone looks like or what someone has or does.
Jealousy always involves 3 parties. The object of a person's jealousy the one feeling the jealousy and object's imagined or supposed audience.
I think Jealousy is a very apt description of what is often displayed on the forum.
I think partners are looking ..... on the sly :wink: and lovers get jealous

Ahhh, if only it was only women who were jealous. Deana has a lot of female fans, perhaps those who don't like her just don't like her.

I agree. What makes me laugh is men can make snide comments about the male fitties...Arron etc, but thats fine...no body thinks they are jealous...its a age old myth that women are jealous of other women.... yet another boring stereotype.

to be fair she only won miss India UK, it's not exactly a wide pool and not a very prestigious pageant. so i don't think it's jealousy over her very minor beauty pageant title. I wonder how many girls even enter that pageant. not many i'm guessing. Miss UK would be impressive.

That being said, is there any evidence that women dislike her any more than men dislike her? I think some people just dislike the outsiders in general, and she's seen to be the leader of them.

I'd say women dislike her more for her attitude towards men and money. Doesn't exactly make them look great does it? Not saying ALL women are like that but you know what I mean.

How silly, what did jealousy ever achieve. it wont make you slimmer , prettier or younger just bitter and twisted. Its a waste of energy.
Deana is attractive but she wears too much makeup , the eyelashes are comedy, she does not need it. I think Indian women are generally very attractive and Deana has a great sense of style.
Some just don't like her.You are speaking as if she has no faults , and it must be jealousy.When she is brutally, unkindly honest, has little social skills, and is rude and condescending at times.
She is also stubborn , tactless and very anti male.The girl has dis-likable qualities as well likable ones.

I think it's the same reason as women usually dislike any physically attractive, intelligent female housemate.............JEALOUSY (sadly!)

Luckily though i think more women each year are starting to support female housemates like Deana because they greatly admire the very same qualities that the sad, bitchy, jealous women are intimidated by! :thumbs:

Lauren did have a few slightly annoying traits but the majority of the ridiculous level of hatred for her and spite towards her within the house stemmed from the insecurities and bitter jealousy of several of the other female housemates.
Ashleigh was the leader of the flock closely followed by Shievonne, Caroline, Becky, Lydia and even "oh so sweet" Sara to a certain degree!

What a complete generalisation of all the female members of this forum. It is also very patronising. The majority of posters on here are adults and therefore fully capable of forming opinions based on many factors.

Well said, spot on. Too many people pidgeon hole others. We all are capable of making our own minds up. My wife dosent like her because she is a trouble maker and way too cocky. My daughter likes her because she is a stand up girl and although she isnt going to spend money voting for her anymore, she still supports her. I dont like her because she is coming accross as a player and not a nice one either. 3 adults, 3 different views, one result, vote Adam.

My Mum and most of my female Cousins, don't like Deana not because of her looks but because she is not to be trusted in their view.

I also find a lot of Women don't like Deana but it's for what she says and does, not how she looks, which in all honesty it cannot be justifiably said she that she is not really nice looking.
It's just a shame her personality is far less nice though.

I much prefer Sara. A stunning girl, intelligent, polite and respectful. I wouldn't mind if she won at all! :lovedup:

I'm a female fan of Deana but I'm going to put that aside in this topic to say, I HATE when people generalise based on sex and also accuse people of not liking a HM because they're jealous of them. Why would anybody be jealous of someone they haven't even met? It's ridiculous.

I completely agree, it is ridiculous that someone would be jealous of someone they have never even met but in reality it's very common amongst men and women.
In the same way it's ridiculous that anyone could claim to 'hate' someone they don't actually know but some people do get extremely hateful about people they've only seen on TV.

And sadly the generalisation based on sex thing is all too common! Women do it about men, Men do it about women and they always will.
A lot of people do it as a bit of a wind-up, leg-pull type thing (i'll hold my hand up to this one :hugesmile:).

I have to disagree with you on this. I really don't believe that anyone who dislikes Deana is jealous of her. Jealous of what? and I'm asking this as a fan of hers. Because she's pretty? most people who disliked her, liked equally pretty girls in there. Because she's had all the men chasing her? Well, she hasn't really. So what exactly are you saying people are jealous of?

I didn't mention Deana once in my post. I'm just referring to people in general Niamh. You were asking "Why would anybody be jealous of someone they haven't even met?"
People get jealous of people on tv or in the public eye for many reasons Niamh and looks can and often is one of them.
People also get jealous of people's success or the way they carry themselves or how clever they might be. They don't have to know someone to get jealous of them.

I'm not saying it's right or a good way to be but it is a fact that people DO get jealous of people that they know and that they don't know.........fact of life (sadly!).
