Has Julie earned a place in the final?

Regardless of weather you hate or love her, do you think she has provided more entertainment than Lorenzo and Martin, and if she has, does she deserve to stay more than them?

Jake. 03-09-2012 11:26 PM

Without a doubt. Like her or hate her, since Jasmine has gone she has been the talk of the series.

Visage 03-09-2012 11:28 PM

She's made this series for me and fully deserves a place in the final.

Martin has been a real let down and Prince, well he has definitely earned a place in this year's Cinderella panto wherever that's playing.

Silent Scream 03-09-2012 11:40 PM

It's a tricky one isn't it? She's provided many talking points but I don't think she's been entertaining in any way. She's a nasty old hag. Some people find the conflict entertaining and I might have joined them if her and Colleen had a right good ruck but snide remarks here and there don't do it for me.

Martin is a crushing bore. He really is and it's interesting to note he got away with all the **** stirring against Julie because of who he is and he hasn't upset the viewers (yet). I don't think he deserves a place in the final and originally I wanted him, Julie or Julian to win, how times change lol.

Lorenzo has been entertaining for me. A mega rich intelligent man chasing a sleazy money-obsessed tart with the intellect of a squashed tomato was highly amusing. I'd like to see him in the final.

It's kind of academic though, I can't see any other result than Martin surviving and the other two getting the boot.

Scotty07 03-09-2012 11:40 PM

She deserves top 3 at least, amazing housemate, but if she goes she goes. If she does go though on Wednesday, then at least I will only have Fridays show to suffer watching most of the other bores that will be left in there and they don't show much highlights on final night anyway.:idc: Plus at least her interview time out of the house won't be rushed like they do in the final these days.:D

Jords 03-09-2012 11:42 PM

Absolutely.

joeysteele 03-09-2012 11:45 PM

I like Martin and wish they both were not up but Julie has been really entertaining all series for me anyway.
Yes, she has earned her place in the final if she stays, so has Martin to a degree but I nver believed he would ever nominate Julie,I was really surprised he did that on the very last set of noms, while again like the miserable Coleen never saying anything to her face.

What a bunch of wimps and cowards, that they have supposedly seen and heard all her talking about people but none have pulled her up on it, while also in the main they are also doing the same thing themselves.

I have rarely come across anyone more false as Coleen is, after all she has said as to Julie all series how she had the cheek to hug Julie after she had been nominated for eviction is beyond belief.

jet 03-09-2012 11:53 PM

Julie has BEEN CBB 2012. Looking back, she will be the one people remember most. Jasmine too - but she wasn't in long enough.
If Julie doesn't make the final it will be a travesty. How the hell can Martin deserve a place in it when he has done sweet damn all? If he gets there, it will be because he slithered his way into it by keeping out of the firing line, grinning inanely while agreeing with everyone, getting himself a tan and sneakily stirring the pot against Julie while saying how much he likes her...

Most of all it will be because he's Martin Kemp and he could have sat there dumb the whole series and still get votes, which is totally ridiculous!

Colbert-Bump 04-09-2012 01:08 AM

She's a classic BB housemate, should be in the final.

MargeryFan 04-09-2012 01:40 AM

She should at least be there over Prince.

Lex 04-09-2012 01:45 AM

Jasmine...Julie...Danica,....let's face it, apart from these three, ...who else will you be able to name if someone asks you "who was on CBB 10 last year?"

Of course she deserves to be in the final!!

Cant agree with you more Lex

DanielLuis 04-09-2012 03:06 AM

Its obvious she deserves a place in the final. This woman is everything this forum has been talking about.
Love her or hate her she has provided loads of entertainment. ( By the way, I love how some people have been hating her 'cuse she plays the game, but usually they adore who plays the game on other series, because they're the only one wit the guts to do it).
She definetely deseveres to stay til the final against Martin, who is coward and boring, and Lorenzo, who is nice but hasn't offered anything since he was rinsed by Danica.
She deserves to reach the final and finish 3rd or 4th.

DigitalMethod 04-09-2012 03:30 AM

Julie deserves to be in the final, just based on the previous highlights show alone. It's ALL Julie.

reece(: 04-09-2012 06:41 AM

Cannot stand her but cannot deny she has been the latter half of the series.

SharkAttack 04-09-2012 06:56 AM

I thought she pushed too hard to get herself in the past few days, which will ultimately lead to her demise tomorrow night. While she's been a fun one to watch, it seems almost fitting that she leaves a mere 48 hours before the end. She'd have been deserving had she kept her cool this weekend. :(

funkime 04-09-2012 07:30 AM

definitely deserves to be in the final! There wouldnt have been any entertainment without her. What a miserable bunch the men are...harvey is a hypocrite, mike is a sulky brat, ashley is just thick, martin most boring HM, lorenzo is a silly little man, julian i like and as for colleen what a miserable woman.....two faced, sulky, hypocrite, **** stirrer who should have gone the first week. CBB10? Wasnt that JULIES show?

She could have been the odds favourite to win CBB, she came into the house and was genuinely friendly to everyone. She was warm and funny if not eccentric and was certainly one of ,if not the most popular HM. But then the backstabbing, bitching and gameplaying became obvious and slowly she undone all the good work. She went from Panto Dame to Panto Villian in the space of 10 days, and now I suspect she will leave on Wed.

But I think she could have won had she kept being real as seen in those first few days...!!!

Kazanne 04-09-2012 07:46 AM

Not in my opinion, she is her own worst enemy, she SEEMED a really nice fun person on her arrival, but now,she is one of the nastiest people I've seen on there,so NO she doesn't ,why should someone like her be rewarded?

i do agree with you:xyxwave:
she has been a nasty two faced person in a boreing series the rest have been boreing,i like martin but he has been a let down!
i dont care who wins beacuse they will just be a winner of a crap series.

mr rochester 04-09-2012 08:11 AM

I think Julie genuinely does not realise how she comes across - that may come from years of no-one being a good enough friend to try and help her. Maybe we are all a bit shocked by the contrived 'brassy' image/persona she puts forward. So many have been unkind about her looks and I suspect they then may feel a little guilty for being unkind about a woman of her age. Might all be to do with the notion that in general terms not many of us see a woman with bleached blonde waist length hair, dressed in leopard-skin, effing and jeffing when they are 70. The chewing gum and cigarettes also contribute to the 'brassy' image. She can't be that bad if she rescues horses and dogs - I also read that she is registered disabled...I keep going round in circles with Julie - I want to like her but I am not sure if I want to like her image. I would love to see her made over with a nice (shorter) hairstyle in a more appropriate colour and I would like her to lose the leopard. She has had some off the best one-liners in the show...So she is entertaining - far more so than the pseudo-gangsta crew.

I comend her on rescuing animals but then again so do lots of people,I am not bothered about her image either it's just her inner nastiness and two faced persona that I dislike.

chuff me dizzy 04-09-2012 09:26 AM

No way

Black Dagger 04-09-2012 09:27 AM

Over the likes of Harvey, Ashley, Martin, ofc.

Im sorry, but rescuing horses and being disabled(pity it wasnt her tongue) or the leopard print, smoking, chewing gum, age, isnt why she should not win CBB, its her vile personality that should stop her ever winning a gameshow where we chose nice people to win

Patricia4 04-09-2012 09:49 AM

One word YES

Suze 04-09-2012 09:52 AM

I believe Julie has earned a place in the final, yes. Pity she is unlikely to get it now though.

Ellen 04-09-2012 09:58 AM

She has definatly earned a place in the final without a doubt. Apart from Julie,Julian & Mike the rest should have gone ages ago.

chuff me dizzy 04-09-2012 10:04 AM

With these odds she earned exactly what she deserves ....her ass out of the door on Wednesday ,fav to go now in several places

Robertocarlo 04-09-2012 10:11 AM

Yes for sure, Julie should be in the final over the rest of the kiddy wink dullards like Ashley, Harvey or the occassional table. Save Julie!

flamingGalah! 04-09-2012 12:56 PM

YES!!!! She has made CBB, she is brilliant TV & fully deserves to at least be in the final... Unfortunately that two faced snake Martin Kemp & that vile bitter old hag Coleen Nolan have seen to it that she will likely be out tomorrow night :nono:

swinearefine 04-09-2012 12:58 PM

She has been the star since Jasmine left, and it will be a travesty if Lorenzo and Martin beat her. I think she's a two-faced bitch, but you can't deny the entertainment she's provided.

Even though it might help them win with the sympathy votes, I don't care, and hope Julie rips them both to pieces in her interview and on BOTs and lets us into some home truths about them both :)

SocietyIsRuined 04-09-2012 02:44 PM

Of course she deserves to be in the final. How Ashley is there is beyond me. I keep forgetting he's on the show.

I can understand why some people don't like Julie, hey, even if you have someone who does everything right and never swears or has any visible bad habits, some people will still not like them and get at them.

Julie would be thr first to say she has faults and I really cannot see where she has been that nasty about anyone, she may have played a good few of them at times and been 2 faced too, well Coleen Nolan is the absolute mistress as to being 2 faced in fact she is 50 faced.

In the house Julie has shown herself completely, the listening side, the nice side, the bad side, the devious side and the humerous side.

Out of the house she has many good things to her credit and status. A long career on Corrie, winning many awards for her acting, she also receieved an MBE too, however I only learned recently as well as her love of animals, that she was diagnosed with and fought cervical cancer.
Something she kept quiet for decades but having beaten it ,she then set up a Julie Goodyear charity for Cancer too.

They are not the actions of a bad person. At 70, I have always said well done to her for even going in the BB house, I would find it hard at 20 never mind 70.

From day one she has entertained me and all I watch BB with.I haven't liked the ganging up against her by the housemates this week and whether they are to peoples taste or not, I was stunned BB allowed her clothes to be mocked and held up like auction items in the diary room.

She isn't likely to stay tomorrow unless the Corrie army of fans really do get out to vote for her but she does in my view deserve to stay.
I rate Martin massively but I am disappointed at the very least he chose to nominate her this final time.
I thought better of him, since he has said all she has said as to some others just not as forcefully as she did.

Good luck to her and for me she has done really well to stay in the house right up until the last 2 days if she does go tomorrow.
I respect age and admire spirit, Julie has been a really good, entertaining housemate, her and Julian particularly together have made this series all through.

HBB1508 04-09-2012 03:12 PM

Well said Joey - I don't like Julie but she does deserve to be in the final, as you rightly say the Jules have made this series. I take my hat off to anyone who does BB as it would drive me insane being locked up with a bunch of people that I probably wouldn't get on with and even if I did just having no freedom would do me in. I hope Julie manages to get to Friday as she has earned a place imo.

Actually, much as I dislike the old trout, I was shocked to see the scene in the Diary Room where her clothes were held up for ridicule.

This is her personal private property and BB has no right whatsoever to ask for HM to collect her clothes. If I had been one of the guys I would have refused point blank, the fact that Julie allowed it to happen is all to her credit.

Perhaps Wed night's eviction isn't as cut and dried as I'd thought..!!!
