Suggest some artists for me to listen to

People who make bad suggestions will be made to go on a romantic date with Marc in Skegness.

CharlieO 10-10-2012 11:45 AM

Novo 10-10-2012 11:45 AM

Marc 10-10-2012 11:46 AM

Tom4784 10-10-2012 11:52 AM

Woodkid isn't awfiul.

*Abandons plans to clone Marc and send him off with himself to Skegness*

Marc 10-10-2012 11:54 AM

It's hard to tell which music you want, what sort of stuff do you want? Up beat or mellow and meaningful

Black Dagger 10-10-2012 11:55 AM

Kitten.

Locke. 10-10-2012 11:57 AM

How about some J Holiday?

Marc 10-10-2012 11:59 AM

Locke I don't mean to sound rude but it seems to me as if you are really trying your hardest to spend some time with me and I'm afraid it's coming off a tad bit desperate. It's scaring me.

...once you go there, you'll never look back Dezzy....you'll be lost forever

Shaun 10-10-2012 01:27 PM

Otis Redding is a must, as are Joni Mitchell and Neil Young.

As for others that I'm not sure you've dabbled with... R.E.M. have about 10 amazing albums (go for Murmur, Document and Automatic for the People first)... Marvin Gaye is a must also. And since you're into weird gothpop a fair bit, then Echo & the Bunnymen too.

And as for new stuff, I'd recommend Purity Ring, Charli XCX and the new Passion Pit album (and the first, if you don't have it)

Marcus. 10-10-2012 01:39 PM

I could never get into Otis and I like Neil Young anyway. I can't stand R.E.M though and Marvin Gaye's just not my sort of thing. I'll look into Echo and the last three suggestions though.

Shaun 10-10-2012 11:11 PM

"I could never get into Otis" is basically the same as saying "I have no soul" or "I don't like good things" you filthy prick

Mrluvaluva 10-10-2012 11:52 PM

Thinking about Bat For Lashes and Siouxsie influences etc may I suggest The Cocteau Twins. Not sure how much material you have heard of theirs? You could try This Mortal Coil too, but I would think the former was more toward your tastes.

Dead Can Dance?

swinearefine 11-10-2012 03:12 AM

Janis Joplin

Ammi 16-10-2012 06:13 AM

..did you listen to some Joni, Dezzy..?

Vanessa 16-10-2012 07:56 AM

Led Zeppelin! :dazzler:
