First website you ever visited?
I stole this idea from Glenns comment in the other thread
What was the first website you ever visited? I think mine was a really old chat room called blueyonder, it doesnt exist any more. |

Some gaming website in Primary School where I played this Motorbike Racing game.
AOL home page I would think, and then either AOL games or... I'm not actually sure what I used to go on. I mainly went on offline stuff like paint or office because AOL was a ****ing awful thing... no one could use the internet if the phone was in use and it made that disgusting dial up noise. :bored:
Yahooligans :D
Think it was AOL home page as well
Oh and its Glenn Josy :idc:

The first website I made an account on was Bebo, even before I had my first email address, that is as far back as I can remember, I know I used search engines, but I wont count them as actual websites.
we didn't get the internet at home until 2005 so I only used it at school... the first time I used it was in primary school, and the first website I remember looking up was the CITV one
No idea. The one I remember using most in school is Mousebreaker, used to just sit playing the Football Manager game on that throughout all ICT lessons. Was great.

I don't think I used the internet until I started working so probably something like Yell.com or similar. When I was at primary school they had one BBC computer that had to be wheeled between classrooms and it wasn't a big thing at high school either so I didn't have much contact with computers or the internet till I started working...This forum makes me feel so old sometimes :joker:
There were no dot coms, only BBS's. You dial in to the server at an incredibly awful rate(very good for the time) and do the back-n-forth chatting/downloading. It's been prettified by about 1000x since then with visual interface. Text was all we had. Yay. ;)
I'm pretty sure it would have been Google.
Can't remember, but the first thing I signed up to was MSN, which about 6-7 years ago.
I dont remember. When I first started using the net though I used teenchat a lot, because I found a way to boot people off it and onto different sites. My site of choice was somewhere called rotten.com (dunno if its still up or not)
I used to find the idea of someone one minute sitting chatting and the next minute having pics of dead bodies popping up on their screen hilarious. I realise now it was very wrong and might have actually scared a lot of people and could possibly have got me into a lot of trouble if caught too D: |
It was Google, I remember we got taught how to do it at primary school :joker:
Ditto with all those don't remember. :conf: All I know is for a long period of time I was obsessed with play.com and all other random sites where I could buy dvds and games. All I di was buy, wait then watch on my mini dvd player.
We never got to use the internet in primary school :suspect:
