I grew up in Northern Virginia, so i've been through a few of these in my time.

Shaun 28-10-2012 02:08 AM

I can just imagine the loonies claiming this has been created by scientists to affect the election

Philadelphia, back in the day, but they rarely came that far inland to do any kind of real damage. This one looks like a knuckle ball though. :joker:

Both candidates are no doubt at the ready to be airlifted to the exact site of a crying infant near the floodwater towns.

I lived in south Carolina for a while and used to go to Wilmington nc quite often and they were always getting hit by hurricanes....they had evacuation routes marked out all the time...:o

Hope it changes course before it hits

King Gizzard 28-10-2012 11:27 PM

lostalex 29-10-2012 11:49 AM

I have a lot of friends on the east coast, and they are all taking it with a grain of salt. they all think the hype is stupid.
Basically Obama is just trying to hype it up as much as possible so that if things do go wrong, he can say "well i warned you!", but it's really not that serious.

The government and the media are just trying to make sure they can't be blamed in another Katrina moment.

Are they evacuating or staying put?

The storm is still around 8/10 hours out and there is already major flooding and some damage though that seems like it's pretty serious.

All of my friends out there are staying put, and laughing at all the hype.

Oh well hopefully it is all hype then and no one gets hurt.
