Ahh, I'm nearly 30!

It's so weird to be nearly 30, it used to seem so far away. I'm actually quite looking forward to be in my 30's, as scary as it seems.

I don't eben know my reasons for this post, must be my senile dementia.

Niamh. 14-11-2012 10:30 AM

Josy 14-11-2012 10:31 AM

Its ****e being 30

Benjamin 14-11-2012 10:32 AM

Niamh you're like 85 so I don't know why you are laughing. :bored:

Novo 14-11-2012 10:35 AM

30 is the start of the end you'll soon be having your first thoughts of the Morgue and then soon enough you'll be on your Zimmerframe wondering where the time went, thank god it's nearly another decade for me yet

It goes so quickly. Hopefully science will develop soon to spare you this trauma and keep you from the years to come.

It means I'm going to have to settle down soon, not sure if I'm ready for that again. How is it for you?

She forgot why as soon as she did

Novo 14-11-2012 10:44 AM

I've already seen how slow Niamh and Josy have became around the forum over the last 3 years so Roy in 19 months it is your duty to pass the turtle the shotgun so he doesn't have to go down that route

I'll thank you and Roy now in advance before my mind becomes mush and I forget to.

Luckily for you it is not soon

AnnieK 14-11-2012 10:48 AM

I was soo depressed at the thought of turning 30 too....but then realised its just another day and being 30 was fine (trying really hard to convince myself of that fact as I creep ever closer to the next big one which I refuse to acknowledge)....

Do what I tend to do now....lie!!

Benjamin 14-11-2012 10:50 AM

OH GOD! I'M GOING TO START WATCHING LOOSE WOMEN AND ENJOY DOING SO.

Novo, pass me the shotgun now!

Oh God, I couldn't imagine being single now, I settled down quite early though so I'm hoping to get travelling again when the kids are older. But yeah, it's good, settling down earlier has it's benefits, I'll still be relatively young when the kids have finished school. Do you think you'll have kids?

Marc 14-11-2012 10:52 AM

Saga cruise is it?

Lol, I had a serious reply but just saw Marcs saga cruise response. :joker:

Yeah, would like kids, but would like to adopt them from around 4/5 years of age. Hopefully around my early 30's so I'll be in my mid 40's when they go college.

Urgh, 40's I don't even want to think about that milestone yet.

Novo 14-11-2012 10:56 AM

Looks like you best use that Shotgun already by the looks of things

I'm just going to pretend I didn't see Marc comment :idc:

That's a good plan, I'd imagine it would be a bit easier to adopt a child that age too and good for them, it must be much harder for older kids to find adoptive parents

Benjamin 14-11-2012 11:06 AM

Novo, do me the honours, when the time comes, just pull that trigger, before I take you all down.

Babies are cute, but I don't have the patience for the whole sleepless night thing or the whole lack of actual interaction until they can actually learn to properly communicate.

You don't want to teach your child how to walk or talk?

Just jealous you'd never be allowed on a cruise of that calibre. :idc:

Doesn't bother me, I'd rather be happy knowing I gave them a good life and the support they needed than watch them learn to walk for the first time ever. My father watched my first steps, what good did that get me.

Marc 14-11-2012 11:16 AM

But it's what it did for him, gave him all the happiness in the world to see you walk :)

It's about you now Benny boy

Niamh. 14-11-2012 11:18 AM

Still though Marc, it's great some people want to adopt older kids to give them a chance, most people want babies

Marc 14-11-2012 11:19 AM

Oh yeah of course, sorry I wasn't arguing against it lol just saying its cute to see them walk and talk
