star wars is not a trilogy anymore.

if i was having a star wars day, i'd watch 6 film's starting with phantom menace and ending with return of the jedi (that's not a trilogy)

if i was having a godfather, back to the future or lord of the ring's day i'd watch 3 film's (a trilogy)

..but they're still two trilogies even if you choose to watch them back to back....

but then your suggesting that it's not a continuous story. and that the prequel's have no relevance to the original's

..LOL no...I'm saying that they were made years apart and as two trilogies and it's how Lucas himself describes them....

..yeah, Mad Max is definately worth a mention..I would have liked to say Terminator as well but they excluded it by making a fourth one...I don't think I've seen that one yet....

Star Wars consists of two trilogies. Both Trilogies have their beginnings, middle and ends and the character and story focus is completely different It's like saying that The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings aren't two seperate trilogies.

..I think I'm going to go with Dezzy on this one....
