Has the forum changed for you since you joined?
 

Like from your first impressions or first weeks here or whatever. For me I think there's a lot less arguing and people generally seem to get on more. I was looking back at some 2009 threads when I first joined and they all ended up a mess LOL 2010 was awful for arguing, 2011 it got better. This year there's been some spats but nothing like what I've witnessed in previous years.

I think it has quite a bit actually. The way I view it anyway.

When I signed up it was the very end of the Stacey's "reign" era or whatever, like there were permabans flying left right and centre just as I got into chat & games. After that I slowly became more comfortable on the forum and just thought it was cool, but yeah it was always mainly the same arguments happening over and over again

I think I saw a change when Plug was introduced though. The forum was a bit more different, and I'd grown to like a lot more members, which I think changed my outlook on the forum. But yeah most of the people I'm friends with now were mainly using TC and MSN and putting :L after things when I was new, there's way less of that now

There was more arguing back in the day. I was the cause for a few which I apologise for. However this year.. yes there has been less arguments but the place seems to be a bit more "steady" and "boring". Hope it picks up soon.

However there was fun back in the day. Not just arguments.

It could be that pyra and alex are on , er, holiday.
I prefer a mixture of opinion at the min there aren't many arguments as everyone is a bit...um, samey.
Thats not a criticism just an observation.

I think that's the difference for me, it used to be everyone arguing rather than a few problem members causing arguments

Pyra and Alex don't make interesting arguments though, they just bait and repeat themself 1922728282892 times

Yes say one member used to be a catalyst and chip away with sly digs then all of a sudden world war 3 broke out and used to have hours of arguments in threads that lasted over 100 pages! It was quite ammusing though. It spiced up the forum. That's what we are missing. A bit of "zest" and "spice" at the moment. Not to the point of being nasty though!

Yeah I remember they always used to last hours LOL nothing ever seemed to get locked back then, they either fizzled out or there was mass bans

I miss Stu. He was funny in arguments. Witty, hilarious, intelligent. But lets face it.. members like these tend to be too good for the forum :(

He still posts now and then, I'm sure he said he didn't have internet where he was at the moment though.

Weirdly in 2009 I posted way less infrequently but found discussion on the forum to be a lot more interested, Stacey was very prominent round these parts and Kerry is a massive miss plus some members have also started to post less frequently, it's been a bit bland recently for me personally but that's probably i'm not part of the long term chats here. It'll be better when some of my older friends hopefully return for CBB starting!

Everything is too restricted and PC. People need to let things out and have a rant. Let something go off for a few hours. No point in spoiling the fun when it hasn't really begun.

I never got banned. I just got to the point of pushing peoples buttons right at the edge and then disappear and then come back and bait some more. Get my maximum points and then go under the radar for a while and then come back.

Nearly every member back in the day chipped in though. Everyone is guilty. Think I came across and still do as "annoying" but I would say I am harmless when in some members there was some pure nastiness.

I miss some banned members though. It must have been like 2 years ago when Stacey got banned. Any time soon to forgive and forget? Lift a few bans for a few days trial or something?

I was terrible for arguing back in the day LOL I was pretty much involved in everything, mainly with the BH lot. There was more set groups back then though, and that whole Den V BH thing started. But yeah, everyone liked to pile it, the threads often ended up pretty funny. There seemed to be a thead for every little problem too, so we'd basically be having the same arguments in every little thread. I don't miss the arguments of 2010 though, which I did play a big part in. They just drained and weren't even funny or anything. There was also a lot more off-the-wall members back then as well. I dunno if it's better or worse or anything, just different...

I find it hard to believe there was a time you didn't have to watch what you said on here...
Even now i'm biting my tongue thinking oops best not say that.
If there was a time threads were a little more accommodating then I would have liked to have seen that.

Were you able to get away with more then. Can't imagine 100 page arguments now?? I can't be arsed arguing in real life let alone in here but sure they would have been interesting to watch.

It's changed massively. I don't consider my join date as my actual join date in a sense. I only starting posting a lot in September/October 2010 so I think of that as when I really joined, and back then there seemed to be arguments happening every five seconds. Then after the five or so permabans that happened in late 2010 and early 2011 it seemed to quiet down a lot.

It wasn't until Autumn 2011 that I noticed any new conflict really. I think it's getting more.. tense on here though. Not bad like how it was before, but arguments are happening more easily than they used to imo.

I don't want to turn this into a mod bashing thread or anything, but there was a whole different mod team back then. It was 2010 all the new ones came in I think
