Stupid title, as others have mentioned.

We have plenty of white drug dealers, some of them even getting arrested for their alleged crimes and I don't see anyone picking on that.

If you don't think Asians are more likely to sell drugs, what was the point in that post?

The original article said nothing about "Asian pharmacists". Arista translated it to put his own slant on it. Drug dealers are drug dealers, regardless of any other factors.

If ignorance is bliss, there are some very happy people on this forum.

If the perpetrators of this had been say Scottish , Chinese etc etc would you have been so offended.

For starters, Chinese people are Asian, so I don't see what point you're making there.

And, yeah, there's no need to specify someone's ethnicity when it comes to this sort of thing. Because I don't see any "omg dodgy white pharmacists selling valium!!" threads around here so why do it with Asians?

Well, if you're specifying someone's ethnicity, (unless there's an actual need to, e.g. police statistics) then you're not seeing people as people.

As Jesus.H.Christ said, the title of the original article on this doesn't even specify ethnicity (and rightly so) but arista had to add that in and (as Jesus put it) slant it.

If you can't see that then you're more than a tad naive, don't you think?

Ethnicity is also a part of "people being people" is it not. I may be a tad naive I really do not understand what all the fuss is about. Since when did ethnicity become something to be hidden? I am caucasian and would not be insulted by anyone referring to that fact where ever in the world I have lived which has included Africa , Asia and Northern India.
