***The Official CBB11 Ratings Thread***

It's that time of year again. Only 2 weeks until CBB starts and that means it's time to make a thread on the ratings!!

For Channel 5 so far, the launch ratings for CBB have been:
CBB8- 5.3m
CBB9- 3.6m
CBB10- 3.0m

Those were the officials, so the overnights were around 200k-300k lower than those I have posted. What do you reckon, CBB11 will achieve?

I predict around 2.5m overnight and 2.7m official.

Gstar 20-12-2012 10:06 PM

I think it will be the lowest yet

BB IS ALIVE 20-12-2012 10:15 PM

I'm going to be optimistic and go 3-3.2 million

*mazedsalv** 20-12-2012 10:17 PM

I reckon it will be the lowest as well. I don't think there is anyway it would get over 3m. Thr last time it did that was CBB9 finale which got 3.4m officially.

Maia 20-12-2012 10:19 PM

Probably around 2.8m

Jake. 20-12-2012 10:23 PM

I reckon 2.9 million overnight. Remember it is the winter...

Me. I Am Salman 20-12-2012 10:34 PM

2.9m

Black Dagger 20-12-2012 10:47 PM

I reckon the launch will only get 2.4 million.

Hardly any ****er will know it's on unless they are an uber-fan.

Beastie 20-12-2012 11:06 PM

3.1 million. I think it should go up a bit. The last 2 celeb series have been on in the summer. We are back to where it should be now. Hope we do get a decent amount of viewers.

CBB9 aired in January.

Jarrod 21-12-2012 09:55 AM

Well now the advertising has started on TV and in Magazines, I'll go for 2.8 - 3.0 Million.

BigBrotherfan4ever 21-12-2012 02:13 PM

2.4m

*mazedsalv** 22-12-2012 12:00 AM

Competition seems pretty weak. It seems on the other channels it's just old documentaries and DIY shows:

BBC1:

DIY SOS The Big Build (DIY)

Home renovation series. Single mother Julie Jones became a national news story when she promised to look after her dying friend's children. Overnight Julie's family grew from three children to eight. Nick Knowles and the team travel to Huntingdon where, with the help of the local community, they aim to transform Julie's house into a home for this supersized family.

BBC2:

Queen Victoria's Children (History Documentary)
Princes will be Princes... In a 60-year family saga this three-part series explores the reign of Queen Victoria through her personal relationships with her husband and her nine children.

ITV1:

Trouble Abroad (Documentary)
The first of a two-part programme which takes a look at how for some of the 5.5 million British expats the dream of a new life abroad has gone sour.

C4:

The Restoration Man (DIY)
Using an inheritance from his late father, artist Keith McIntyre and his wife Sheena bought a listed, Thomas Telford-designed church in the remote island of Berneray in the Outer Hebrides.

So the Queen Victoria and Travel Abroad sjows are both repeats? Good good. What's on the digital channels? Anything 16-34ish.

I don't think they are repeats now that I think of it. But i reckon they will attract an older audience.

DigitalSid 22-12-2012 02:28 PM

Other competition:

BBC One
BBC News, 10-10:35pm
Summer In Blackpool, 10:35-11:35pm

BBC Two
Mrs Brown, 10-11:40pm (Judi Dench film)

ITV1
ITV News at Ten, 10-10:35pm
Gary Barlow & Friends, 10:35pm (repeat)

Channel 4
Millionaire Boy Racers, 10pm-11:05pm

ITV2
Evan Almighty, 8-10pm (bad film)

E4
50 Greatest Plastic Surgery Shockers, 9pm-11:10pm (repeat)

BBC 3
Bad Education, 9-9:30pm (repeat)
Bad Education, 9:30pm-10pm (repeat)
Bad Education, 10pm-10:30pm (repeat)
EastEnders 10:30pm-11:00pm (repeat)

Sky 1
An Idiot Abroad, 9pm (repeat)
A League Of Their Own, 10pm (repeat)

An Idiot Abroad is brilliant and has good repeat value but the episode showing is only from two weeks ago yesterday and already been repeated three times and the fallout from christmas week EastEnders will probably be cancelled out by enough people being in (it being three days after New Years and people starting back at work) to watch it at 7:30.

Raph 22-12-2012 02:42 PM

Jordan. 22-12-2012 04:44 PM

I'm guessing it'll top CBB10 but less than CBB9.

CBB9 actually had a lot more competition, two new dramas, Eternal Law on ITV and Public Enemy on BBC One, which got 4.32m and 4.5m respectively. So it might match it. It's on closer to New Years this time and there's no new 16-34 competition at all, so the lack of advertising shouldn't hinder it.

daniel-lewis-1985 29-12-2012 11:47 AM

My final prediction based on the lack luster advertising campaign and rumoured celebs is 2.3 million.

Fingers crossed im wrong and it will top 3 million but highly doubtful.

SSL2012 29-12-2012 12:02 PM

I'm gunna go for a 3.3mil average and a peak of 3.7

There's been a decent advertising campaign on billboards/bus stops and in a few magazines.
Also the odd ident on the main channel. It could be much better, but it could be alot worse (such as no advertising what so ever...remember the ch 4 days?)

Throw in a very weak schedule on all other channels, i can't see it averaging under 3mil tbh..

If 5 have thrown must of the budget on a 20sec ad spot during corrie or emmerdale on wednesday evening, then i'll revise my prediction to 3.7 average and a peak of 4million.

Birmingham city centre.

*mazedsalv** 29-12-2012 01:33 PM

I came across two bus stop posters and one billboard in my town.

Redway 29-12-2012 02:26 PM

3.1 million, peak of 3.4 million? Probably settle for about 14% share as well.

Marcus. 29-12-2012 02:28 PM

2.9 million

daniel-lewis-1985 04-01-2013 12:21 AM

Hmm so i wonder what it got. I hate the day after launch coming on here to finally find out how it did hoping it did ok lol.

Its still trending worldwide on twitter and has been since 11am yesterday morning though so thats a good sign.

Black Dagger 04-01-2013 12:24 AM

I think it will have peaked at 3.0m

jackc1806 04-01-2013 12:24 AM

I think it could have peaked at around 4 mil but after the celebs came out it went down.

Jake. 04-01-2013 12:26 AM

I reckon it will have averaged 3.0 million, give or take 100k

SSL2012 04-01-2013 12:56 AM

Im gunna go with 3.7mil, had more press then I imagined, and a ITV ad slot during emmerdale.

A peak of 4.1mil, and a drop to around 2.4mil during the last 25mins. So a very good night if im correct.

SSL2012 04-01-2013 08:39 AM

Apparently on ddigital spy cbb peaked at a whopping 4.3 mil. Average not known atm. Massive numbers :D
