Do you exercise regularly?

If so what do you do? I haven't been doing much the last week since I've been sick but had just taken up cycling again after not being on a bike since I was about 12, I have to say I love it and I never thought I'd say that about any type of exercise, I feel like a kid again when I'm on the bike

This zumba dance you all talk about is not really popular here. Is it basically just for women?

Omah 07-03-2013 03:57 PM

Fell-Walking - 15-25 miles a week ..... :pipe:

LemonJam 07-03-2013 04:03 PM

I do push-ups/sit-ups at home on an irregular basis but most of the time I don't bother.

I do not think it is for just women, as I used to go to zumba class (teens, 20s, 30s 40s and me) there was a male member (30s?)in our class.
Funnily enough he was the longest member there. He seemed he was enjoying zumba.

King Gizzard 07-03-2013 04:15 PM

not recreationally (not even a word I don't think), but I walk to places most of the times

My friends aren't about anymore to have a kickabout and stuff like that, and Gym's aren't worth it

sooty 07-03-2013 04:16 PM

I go for sequence dancing (senior citizens, based on ballroom but very basic. If you can walk, you can dance - that sort of thing) twice a week.

MTVN 07-03-2013 06:06 PM

Have started going to the gym again since September, try and go twice a week but if I have a lot of work on I often don't go at all

I also walk but not for fitness, have about a 25 minute walk into Uni every day

Apple202 07-03-2013 06:08 PM

I have a treadmill now which I go on alot, but that's it - I'm not sporty, I'm only good at running and swimming

Ammi 07-03-2013 07:37 PM

..I used to go to the gym 4 times a week and cycle and run but I can't do anything atm..I would like to try to get back to it sometime if I can though...

Vicky. 07-03-2013 07:38 PM

I walk pretty much everywhere, but I dont class that as 'excercising' really.

Football ( Use play 4 or 5 times a week but not so much anymore, lost a bit of interest in it over the past year or so but starting to want to play more again now )

Tennis ( Played it nearly everyday in the Summer, plus cycled a good 3/4 miles to get to the courts most times, Entered a few low grade tournaments this Summer as well)

The Odd bit of running round the Nature park down the road in the mornings as well, and i play Darts now and again but i am terrible so i don't really count that

SharkAttack 08-03-2013 08:27 AM

Indoor rowing 5-7 times a week, depending on how much time I can get on without family complaining. :joker: Lots of walks, lots of football with the kids. I've had a few years off in my early 30s when I couldn't be bothered/arsed, but found that tiresome will to do those things made me more depressed than anything. Keeping at it!

What's wrong, Ammi? Injury or illness? Those things take the ambition out of anything. Sorry if you are ailing. Been there many a time, both mentally and physically. http://i395.photobucket.com/albums/p...es/console.gif

It's too bad you can't walk them on treadmills with poopbags/nappies on, that would be best for those cruddy days. Stay warm. :)

Kizzy 08-03-2013 08:52 AM

I forgot to put walking as I do that with the dog most days, I have an exercise bike and try to burn 500cal off per day on that and try to take in 1700cal per day.
I love swimming but only swim because I enjoy it not as part of an exercise routine, but every little helps.

Vanessa 08-03-2013 09:11 AM

I walk to work four times a week. It's about half an hour a day. :D

You keep doing that and we won't have any more Kizzy left to talk to! :joker:
