I've always loved Lindsay and she really does get a hard time but she has nobody to blame for this but herself. When she had the scram braclet fitted on her ankle, that should have been her wakeup call but sadly it wasn't and now she's having to face up to the consequences. So sad. :(

Iceman 07-07-2010 12:27 AM

I LOL'd hard at both them vids.....

"I didnt know missing classes would be such a big deal" what a dimbwit..........

Lindsay Lohan's Jailed Again!

Lindsay Lohan's probation has reportedly been revoked and a bench warrant has been issued for her arrest.

The star was last week reported to have failed two court-mandated drug tests, one of which she tested positive for cocaine. It is thought that the second screening involved amphetamines.

The bench warrant is being put on hold until Friday at 8.30am PST, when Lohan is ordered to appear in court, says TMZ.

Lohan could face more jail time if the drug tests are confirmed.

Iceman 21-09-2010 12:45 AM

No judge in their right min wont send her back, out of jail what 2 weeks? Mocking her addictions in front of millions, failing 2 drug tests... I see a 30 day sentence :D

LaLaLand 21-09-2010 12:46 AM

Good. She deserves it!

Iceman 24-09-2010 04:19 PM

Lindsay Lohan is in custody ... after Judge Elden Fox shockingly denied her bail ... and Lindsay could be sitting there until October 22.

0923_lohan_tmz_video
Lindsay was in court because she failed two drug tests -- in one she tested positive for cocaine and the other for Adderall.

Judge Fox did not hear any argument from the lawyers before making his ruling.

Lindsay was handcuffed in court before being taken into custody.

It's shocking because the underlying offense is a misdemeanor, and people connected with the case were telling us the judge had to offer Lindsay bail.

As for Lindsay's reaction ... she was shocked when the judge remanded her into custody. Lindsay looked at her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holly, before being taken out of the courtroom.

Story developing

Already!? Li-Lo go back to the good old Parent Trap days!

_Seth 24-09-2010 04:22 PM

As much as I think she should have gone to jail, she should have been offered bail.

As of 11 minutes ago, Bail denied, so it's either Jail or Rehab, looking like Jail until 22 October!

Smithy 24-09-2010 04:23 PM

She'll be out within a fortnight

They should just send her to rehab

she's going to keep breaking her probation, expect this to drag on for at least another 6 months, she's clearly deluded herself into thinking she hasnt got a problem.

Smithy 24-09-2010 04:26 PM

She knows she has a problem, she talks about it on twitter

That's just for the press to read so she can keep making money, she's been to rehab what 5 times? Jail? and then she goes and pokes fun of herself at an awards show by millions? let her do the full sentence and then do a court ordered 3 month program, that'll sort her out.

Freaky Friday all over again for Lindsay Lohan.

The judge laid down the law and ordered the trouble-magnet star hauled away in handcuffs for using cocaine while on probation—a screw-up that led to last week's failed drug test and subsequent Twitter mea culpa.

Her probation was revoked, no bail was set and she will likely remain behind bars at her old haunt—the Century Regional Correctional Facility in Lynwood, Calif.—until her next hearing on Oct. 22.

"It is a wake-up call," father Michael Lohan told E! News at the Beverly Hills courthouse this morning. "She needs to get into rehab and get away from some of those people."

Wearing sunglasses and a conservative black skirt, the 24-year-old breezed into court appeared into court flanked by her mother, Dina, and attorney Shawn Chapman Holley.

Lindsay declined to address the media but appeared relaxed as she entered, even smiling as her estranged dad told her, "I love you," before the hearing commenced.

The smile didn't last long.

L.A. Superior Court Judge Elden Fox, in laying out the terms of Lohan's probation, had warned her that any slip-up, be it a dodgy urine sample or a missed appointment, would result in a month behind bars.

A bench warrant was issued for her arrest on Monday after her probation was revoked, but Fox waited until today to reveal whether Lohan would be able to wait out her ultimate punishment behind, or in front of, bars.

E! News has heard that friends, loved ones and even attorney Holley have encouraged Lohan to get herself back into treatment, both for her health and to show the judge that she's serious—for real, this time—about staying clean.

Lohan had seemed to be doing OK by Lohan standards, appearing in a tongue-in-cheek skit on the MTV Video Music Awards two weeks ago in which she told host Chelsea Handler it would pay to lay off the drinking.

But all of her uneventful, yet questionable, nights out on the town following her 14-day stay in jail and 23 days in rehab ultimately resulted in two failed drug tests, one because cocaine showed up in her system.

Lohan, knowing the music had to be faced at some point, admitted to violating her probation, an infraction she's now very familiar with.

"This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences," Lohan tweeted exactly one week ago.

Of course, some consequences are preferable to others.

A Beverly Hills judge on Friday thought he had found a novel way to get around the Los Angeles County jail system's early-release policy with a ruling aimed at keeping Lindsay Lohan behind bars for the next month.

But just hours after the actress was handcuffed and brought to a Lynwood jail, another judge intervened, issuing an order that is expected to pave the way for Lohan's freedom Friday evening.

At issue was Judge Elden Fox's decision to send Lohan back to jail without bail after she failed a court-ordered drug test. Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, complained that the judge was wrong to prohibit bail and filed an appeal. L.A. County Superior Court Judge Patricia M. Schnegg agreed with Chapman Holley and set bail at $300,000.

Several legal experts described Fox's decision to deny bail as highly unusual, particularly on what they considered a fairly minor drug case.

"She neither presents a danger to the community, nor is she a flight risk," said L.A. defense attorney Mike Cavalluzzi. "Those are the primary criteria for either denying bail or setting an appropriate amount of bail, especially given that this is a misdemeanor."

But others could not help but applaud Fox for attempting to enact serious punishment for Lohan after repeatedly defying the court. Veteran defense attorney Glen Jonas said the judge's actions effectively side-stepped the early-release process, which covers inmates sentenced to jail time but not to inmates awaiting sentencing.

"Judge Fox guaranteed Ms. Lohan will not receive early release by setting the hearing a month out with no bail. Judge Fox is fed up. Ms. Lohan is being treated like a drug addict on probation instead of a celebrity" with a drug issue, Jonas said.

Lohan has twice been sentenced to jail time, but in both instances she got out early because of overcrowding in the county's women's jail in Lynwood.

Instead of handing down a sentence against Lohan, Fox ordered her jailed without bail until an Oct. 22 hearing on whether she should be incarcerated for drug use. Fox wanted her to remain in jail for 30 days until her hearing.

Because of overcrowding, women convicted of crimes similar to Lohan's tend to serve about 25% of her sentence.

Fox said he postponed a final decision until October because needed further information from probation officials on Lohan's compliance before a revocation hearing could be held.

Lohan came to court with her strawberry blonde hair pulled back and wearing a dark business suit. She showed little emotion but appeared stunned when the ruling came down.

The scene was in sharp contrast with her previous court appearance, when she made a tearful plea for leniency before Judge Marsha N. Revel that was captured by live cameras and beamed around the globe.

The actress, best known for films including "Freaky Friday," "The Parent Trap," and "Mean Girls," also made news when cameras captured an expletive-laden message on her fingernails.

Revel, who was assigned the Lohan case before recusing herself from it, sentenced Lohan to 90 days in custody including 30 days in the county jail.

Lohan served less than one-third of her jail sentence and was released from an in-patient drug rehabilitation facility at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after 23 days.

Then last week, Lohan admitted on her Twitter feed that she had failed a drug test, setting the stage for the hearing Friday before Judge Fox.

Lohan's legal woes date back to 2007, when she was arrested twice over a three-month period for driving under the influence. She pleaded no contest and agreed to attend alcohol education classes.

Wildcat! 25-09-2010 09:37 AM

She has got a problem fair enough, and she breaks the law. BUt people need to stop treating her worse than need be. If she was just any person, she probably would never get denied bail for this. ANd it wouldnt be like $300k.
I feel for her, because when you're a drug user, its almost impossible to stay clean, unless you go to rehab. And her probation is ridiculous anyways. She cant even drink. Give me a break. I mean, OK she cant drink and drive, but to expect her to not drink ever, she will always fail!
This has been going for like 2 years already! Just sentence her to jail, have her serve the time, and be done with it. She is in no shape to adhere to probation conditions!

It's all academic anyway - the way she's going we'll be reading about her unexpected death from OD'ing anytime soon. She seems to have a death wish and unfortunately not many drug addicts make it to middle age, let alone old age. You can't help an addict unless they want to be helped, and she clearly doesn't.

Callum 25-09-2010 02:17 PM

She needs help, if that means jail then so be it. If she carries on taking drugs I can't see her making it past 2011.

Iceman 25-09-2010 02:19 PM

another Scram bracelet. Whats the point in that? she obviously is a serious user, no point in even fitting that.

Lindsay Lohan Ordered Back To Rehab Until 2011

Lindsay Lohan has been ordered back to rehab until January 3, 2011 after returning to court to face the consequences of her failed drugs test.

The Mean Girls actress arrived at court in Los Angeles just after 8am PT this morning to face Judge Elden Fox, who had the option of either sending her back to jail or a further stint in rehab.

Lohan had spent time behind bars and in rehab earlier this year relating to a probation violation stemming from a 2007 charge. She later admitted on her Twitter account that she had tested positive for a controlled substance while on probation.

"Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away overnight," she wrote. "I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps."

The 24-year-old was subsequently sent back to jail by Judge Elden Fox, although she was later released on $300,000 bail. Lohan then checked herself voluntarily into a rehab centre in Los Angeles, where she has remained until today's court hearing.

An attorney for Lohan has yet to comment.

Michael Lohan has claimed that he was attacked outside of his Santa Monica home.

The 50-year-old said that he received a threatening phone call on Thursday and was approached by an unknown man on his way home from buying cigarettes roughly an hour later, reports TMZ.

The Santa Monica Police Department responded to a 911 call made by Lohan around 10pm that night.

The suspect allegedly "jumped" Lohan as he exited his car and began choking and stabbing him with a knife, which is said to have caused "substantial bleeding".

The unknown man - who was described as a white man in his 50s or 60s - eventually escaped on foot.

Lindsay Lohan Charged With Theft

Lindsay Lohan has officially been charged for allegedly stealing a necklace from a jewellery store in Los Angeles.

The actress was charged with one count of felony grand theft earlier today and could face up to three years in prison if she is convicted.

She is currently being arraigned at Airport Court in Santa Monica. Her bail has been set at $20,000 (£12,420).

Lohan, who left the Betty Ford Center after a court-ordered stay in January, is on probation for a 2007 drink-driving charge.

The 24-year-old allegedly left the Venice Beach jewellery store with the $2,500 (£1,522) necklace on January 22.

The Mean Girls star has denied any wrongdoing in the incident. The item has since been returned to the store.
