Films or TV Shows?

Which do ya prefer?

Marsh. 25-03-2013 06:01 PM

TV shows of recent years. The quality is on the small screen. Cinema is full of remakes and sequels and even then it's awfully written.

Roy Mars III 25-03-2013 06:01 PM

Tv shows

King Gizzard 25-03-2013 06:02 PM

Films

I like a conclusion, I lose interest in shows that go on and on, I want a definitive ending

Mystic Mock 25-03-2013 06:02 PM

TV Shows are much better imo, as they are better acted, the actors are better looking as they don't look like they're starving to death, plus you get to know the characters better on TV Shows than you do in a Film.

Marc 25-03-2013 06:02 PM

I always record films that I really think I'd like but can never get in the mood to watch them

So... TV Shows

Drew. 25-03-2013 06:03 PM

theres only a few movies that i love which have more than 1.. Saw and Fast and Furious mainly.. But tv shows carry on for a longer period and you get drawn into them more and bond with the characters more

Shaun 25-03-2013 06:25 PM

no preference

Black Dagger 25-03-2013 06:27 PM

I get distracted very easily when I'm watching a film most of the time, I don't with a TV show.

Niamh. 25-03-2013 06:28 PM

I love them both but atm I love TV Shows a bit more

Black Dagger 25-03-2013 06:29 PM

I think with TV shows, if I love one, I get excited that there will be a new episode soon.

Whereas films, I could watch a really good one, but then not find another one I like for a while.

Livia 25-03-2013 06:34 PM

Too close to call.

Raph 25-03-2013 06:40 PM

TV shows just because I like the notion of getting attached to characters. Although there are movies that have several parts, in general movies are conclusive after 2 hours, and that doesn't satisfy me enough. I don't care enough about the outcome if I only have 2 hours to get to know the characters.

Both

Why no tick for Both?

Many on SkyAtlanticHD or Sky1HD
are like movies

LemonJam 25-03-2013 07:04 PM

I don't have the attention span for films.

I like Both
You fool

Ninastar 25-03-2013 07:17 PM

films

King Gizzard 25-03-2013 07:18 PM

surprised people don't have the attention for films but have it for TV shows, it's not that much longer than a TV show and it's an effort trying to keep up with a TV show

Novo 25-03-2013 07:30 PM

If it's a TV Show based around a large group of people with background stories like Lost and The Wonder Years then TV Shows all the time, i can't really keep interested in TV Shows that has just the 1 or 2 main characters and the whole show is pretty much centered around them

Munchkins 25-03-2013 08:32 PM

TV Shows

Redway 25-03-2013 09:14 PM

TV Shows.

I have a short attention span.

armand.kay 25-03-2013 09:31 PM

Reality tv > everything

joeysteele 25-03-2013 09:34 PM

Probably TV shows for me, new films lose my interest quite quickly unless it is a topic I am really interested in.
I really only sit gripped with really old films, especially Bette Davis ones.

Mystic Mock 25-03-2013 09:40 PM

I agree Joey that the older Films are the best.

GypsyGoth 25-03-2013 10:11 PM

Films, but if it's shows like PLL, TWD, or GOT (Pretty Little Liars, The Walking Dead or Game Of Thrones), then it's tougher because I probably like them more than most films.

Yeah very good point, this too.

Princess 25-03-2013 10:43 PM

TV shows by a million miles, I barely ever watch films.

What's the point in the abbreviation if you were going to type the full titles anyway? :D

 after I wrote them I realised that some might puzzle people who don't know the shows.

Me. I Am Salman 26-03-2013 04:27 PM

TV shows, it's something to look forward to regularly
Films are boring.

Billy 02-04-2013 02:30 PM

TV shows! I can only get into something that has like 3 series minimum, I need to get emosh attatched to it ha.

lostalex 02-04-2013 02:36 PM

TV is sooooooooo much better. no question.

Lostie! 05-07-2013 08:34 PM

Just came across this thread, thought I'd add my thoughts. :)

I prefer TV, usually shows with a running story-arc rather than a standalone format. I do like certain films, though. :)

Ramsay 05-07-2013 08:37 PM

With Tv shows i become better acquainted with the characters i feel

BigSister 05-07-2013 09:06 PM

TV shows for me although I do like films I just prefer tv shows

Samuel. 05-07-2013 09:39 PM

Not a film fan.

I need longer than 1-2 hours to care about a character.

Visage 06-07-2013 12:12 AM

TV shows

I like to get into the characters, their stories, highs and lows.

While I can do that with some movies, it doesn't last more than a couple of hours before it concludes.
