Suffolk, East Anglia. It's not too far off from Norwich/Ipswich.

King Gizzard 15-04-2013 05:39 PM

I'm gonna go down and look at the house..I don't know if that's insensitive or not but I bet alot of people will be

Ammi 15-04-2013 05:44 PM

...do you know where it is then Nathan..?..

..did that car not go into a house near you as well..?...

:suspect: for what reason, to lay flowers and pay your respects to the dead, or just for a gawp, can't see what you would get out of just looking at the house :conf:

King Gizzard 15-04-2013 05:46 PM

It's about a 5 min walk, basically have to go down the end of my road then it's on the next road after that

The area/house where it is though is quite rough..council houses etc..

It's on the main road so it's not as if people would go just for that, you have to go past that house pretty much to get into the centre of the town

Ammi 15-04-2013 05:56 PM

..people were probably going past as she fell then..I think it was around 8am, so some people may have been going to work..I think she was alive after the fall and died later in hospital...yeah, you will have to walk past it then, to get into town etc..go to the shop...

King Gizzard 15-04-2013 05:58 PM

yeah, I'm not going out with the sole purpose just to stare at the house it's just literally the only route you can go to get anywhere, LDN Road South

Ammi 15-04-2013 06:03 PM

..yeah, that's what I thought you meant Nathan...it'll feel a bit weird walking past it...I don't know if it'll be cordoned off round the area, I guess it will be because there was a death,,,

King Gizzard 15-04-2013 06:08 PM

It's on the news there's no real cordoning off as it was a kind of corner building, and there's just a police officer at door to prevent anyone going in, just wanted to see the tributes, but there's alot of cars stopping to have a look judging by the pictures on the news

Oh okay your post didn't read like that at all, it is not insensitive to walk past if there is no other route. Might be nice to lay some flowers if you have any cash, for the innocent little babes.

Ammi 15-04-2013 06:18 PM

..yeah, I think in a strange sort of way, if that happened where I live, I would want to go and look at the tributes and actually see the house etc..especially for the children who died..maybe it would feel a bit morbid, but somehow, it would make me feel the enormity and sadness of it as well...just so very tragic and a lady who must have felt desperate, for whatever reason...it's hard to think that there was someone feeling like that, so very close to where you are...and you have no idea...

Kizzy 16-04-2013 12:33 AM

I think that's really macabre, what a heartbreaking discovery, she must have been a very tormented young woman.

Jake. 16-04-2013 12:39 AM

Another tragic story :( RIP to her and the children

Z 16-04-2013 12:53 AM

Unless I'm reading this wrong, is it being implied that she murdered her children and then killed herself? Because I think that's despicable...

Not the actions of a sane and rational person are they?
I'm not judging till I've read the facts.

Ammi 16-04-2013 06:30 AM

...the mother was heavily pregnant...

A heavily pregnant woman who fell to her death at a car park before police discovered the bodies of her three young children has been named locally as Fiona Anderson

Suffolk Police said they were called out at 8am on Monday to the death of a woman in her 20s who suffered head injuries at a car park in Gordon Road.

Officers investigating the incident later found the children at a Victorian terraced house in London Road South

They were named by neighbours as Levina, three, Addy, two, and an 11-month-old baby boy, believed to have been called Kyden.

Outside the house a number of teddy bears had been left as tributes together with flower bouquets.

Visiting the scene, Mayor of Lowestoft, Nick Webb, said the community was in "absolute shock".

He said: "It is just incomprehensible what has happened here and so difficult to get your head around.

"My heartfelt sympathies go out to the families of those who have lost their loved ones."

Formal identification is expected to take place after post-mortem examinations by a Home Office pathologist at James Paget Hospital in Gorleston conclude

Police said they were treating the children's deaths as suspicious but added that there was no further threat to the wider community.

Detective Superintendent John Brocklebank, from Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team, said: "We are in the early stages of a large investigation into what has happened.

"It is too early to be able to come up with a definitive explanation and we will be keeping an open mind.

"Our priorities now are to establish the circumstances behind the woman's death and how it may be related to the deaths of the three children."

is believed to have been heavily pregnant
when she died. Her three children
were found dead at her home three
hours after she fell from the car park"

"Father Craig McLellan pictured with
his children (left to right) Addy, Kyden and Levina.
The three were found dead in
their mother's flat this morning"

"Hours earlier, Fiona Anderson had posted desperate Facebook messages saying her partner had left her for another woman. "

So this Partner left her for a Woman with no kids
Thats so wrong.

"She had been told her children could go into care"

I think Kizzy these facts are showing how tragic
this is.

Cherie 16-04-2013 07:14 AM

and how feckless some men are unfortunately.

Vanessa 16-04-2013 07:21 AM

How tragic! Those poor kids. :bawling:

Suze 16-04-2013 01:40 PM

Normally if it looks like someone has taken the lives of their children as well as their own, it pisses me off that they didn't give their children the chance of life just because they themselves were in turmoil, I know that doesn't come across as at all sympathetic, but I can't help that I feel that way.

In this case however, if the mother did take their lives before maybe taking her own, I do feel for her, she was so young and must have not known which way to turn. However, usually warning signs are there, if not always that clear to read, maybe sometimes undetected cries for help in amongst their words, and it makes me so very sad that nothing or little is done to help such families in turmoil :(

This case is particularly sad, as the the family is very young and needed help of some kind, and the signs weren't picked up on :( What a waste of those four lives. Too, too sad :( This news item really tugged at my heart.

Four kids at her age. And contraception is free.

He dumped her for another woman.

So it adds up, sadly

Fair point, but she thought she was in a relationship, he should have been the one availing himself of the free contraceptives as family life wasn't for him it seems.

I have to say that I don't know that many people who could afford to pop out four kids.

There are loads of different types of contraception for women, but as far as I'm aware, just two for men. And as it's the women that usually end up with the kids once it all gets too much, it's surely for the women to take some responsibility.

AnnieK 16-04-2013 02:06 PM

I have always said that if anything happened to my son I would have to "go" with him as I couldn't leave him on his own but to actually take the lives of your children, no matter how dire the circumstances, has got to be the work of an extremely desperate and unstable person.

Of course it is, I wouldn't let it to chance, but how many men "long" for a big family and how many silly women give it to them for the man to find actually the reality is a bit different and he is off. Personally I couldn't afford 4 kids, but that is not the issue here, the issue is he took off while she was still carrying his 4th child, I assume they are all his as I guess if they weren't it would be reported by now. She must have felt she was in a relatively stable relationship, nobody goes into a relationship with the view that it is going to end.... if that was the case none of us would ever buy a house, get married, have kids.

Saying she must have been mentally ill is just absolving her of responsibility for her vile actions. This woman was a monster IMO.

RIP to those innocent lives she stole :(

Tom4784 16-04-2013 02:20 PM

It's just a sad situation really and one that could have been prevented if only someone saw the signs.

But after her Partner left her
she thought Social Services would take her kids.

So its wrong
but she was not in a fit state of mind - I would think.

sorry to sound blunt, but I dont care for the excuses at all.

Even if she thought the kids may be took off her, it takes a horrible person to kill their own children IMO. No amount of excuses will change my mind.
