Are you a punctual person...

...if you have to be somewhere, do you arrive early, exactly on time or often late..does it annoy you if you arrange to meet someone and they are late etc..?..

Alf 19-04-2013 06:28 AM

I'll answer this later

Jesus. 19-04-2013 06:36 AM

If it's work/meetings and stuff, then yes, I'm punctual. But if it's friends, then I can be a bit lax, but I also don't mind if friends are late to meet me.

King Gizzard 19-04-2013 06:50 AM

yup. Could count on one hand how many times I have been late for things and that wasn't under my control

Cherie 19-04-2013 07:02 AM

Anally punctual in a work situation. Not so much in others.

joeysteele 19-04-2013 07:19 AM

I always make sure I am approx. 5 minutes early as to where I have to be or said I would be.
Personally,I think being late for anything is inconsiderate as is being way too early at times too, depending on where it is you are going.

Omah 19-04-2013 08:56 AM

Are you a punctual person...

Not usually ..... I have to make a big effort to get to meetings, catch trains and attend private, but formal, gatherings, etc ..... :dog:

Kazanne 19-04-2013 09:05 AM

Yes very punctual,I'm always there when I say I will be and expect others to do the same it's common courtesy.

Roy Mars III 19-04-2013 09:07 AM

Very much so. I can not stand people who are not on time and I find it extremely embarrassing if I am late

Niamh. 19-04-2013 09:24 AM

I really want to be but something always happens to make me late for things

Roy Mars III 19-04-2013 09:24 AM

women are always late I have noticed

billy123 19-04-2013 09:38 AM

Yes i am always on time never too early either and if someone leaves me waiting then i will poo my pants with anger people being late drives me mad it is disrespectful.

Benjamin 19-04-2013 09:39 AM

I try and be ten minutes early.

Livia 19-04-2013 10:04 AM

I am very punctual. I hate being late, I think it's rude. If someone arrives late for a meeting with me and they don't have a cast-iron excuse, I don't see them.

Apple202 19-04-2013 03:58 PM

Nope I'm always late for meeting friends and I used to be late like 50% of the time for school but now I'm amazing and hardly ever late for that

Marcus. 19-04-2013 03:59 PM

allway
i make sure my phone time is right
and make sure i arrive 5 mins early

Shaun 19-04-2013 04:07 PM

a bit early.

Marc 19-04-2013 04:08 PM

Early/on time. Rarely late

Jack_ 19-04-2013 04:13 PM

It's a miracle if I'm ever on time for something...and early? Well that's rare.

I'm always the last one to leave the house if we're all going out and am terrible at time management, I'll put off getting ready till the very last minute and then will regret it when I realise half way through that I'm not going to leave early enough to make the time I planned. I hate being late though, I feel really bad but I can never seem to change it. I don't like other people being late for me but I can hardly complain so I'm not too fussed.

Josy 19-04-2013 05:22 PM

I try to be early but always manage to run at least a few minutes late

Vanessa 19-04-2013 05:23 PM

Usually yes. I get just in time.

Drew. 19-04-2013 05:31 PM

im usually always on time/early

Jake. 19-04-2013 05:32 PM

I do try to be early, but I'm awful at predicting how long something will take... I usually just make it though

I think a good time to arrive is 5/10 minutes late, it's late enough to hopefully avoid too much awkward waiting on your own if the people you're meeting are even later, but it's also not that late that people will be annoyed at you for having kept them waiting

AnnieK 19-04-2013 06:15 PM

I'm always early...not too much. My dad is always ridiculously early somewhere. If he's taking me somewhere and I know we have to leave at 7, I tell him we have to leave at 7.15 as he will be here at 6.50 anyway. That dries me a but mad too as then I'm rushing thinking I'm keeping him waiting when he was the one who was early.

Harry! 19-04-2013 06:44 PM

I am very rarely late for anything, usually on time or before.

sooty 19-04-2013 07:58 PM

I hardly late at work. (I am retired now)
We can't rely on public transport run on time so I would leave home earlier just in case. I hate to be late.

If I have to meet someone rather than friend, to make sure I do not arrive too early. I would adjust time somewhere else.
I used to go to somebody's house (a lesson) at 13:30. If I arrived too early, I would keep walking the street up and down and knock the door on time. One day the person asked me "How did you always manage to arrive dead on time?"

If a friend invited me for dinner or something, I would make sure I do not knock the door earlier than we arranged as she might not be ready to have guest yet.

if I visit my best friend and if I might arrive late or earlier, then i would call her to let her know about it.

swinearefine 19-04-2013 08:01 PM

No. I was late to work and school every day.

I have a joke.

"I never late for school. If I was going to be late, I will skip school."

GypsyGoth 19-04-2013 09:26 PM

:laugh2:

I'm pretty much always on time, even when I go to meet someone who is always late.

But to catch a train is deferent matter, Ammi.
(I might have mentioned it to some other thread.)

I always leave home with very little time to catch a train and often end up running.

One morning, I was walking toward a station with other commuters guessing catch a same train. Suddenly a lady started to run. Then behind her was a gentleman in front of me started to run. So I started to run just because they started to run.
Then a young mother with a little girl in a pram passed me and I heard "Mammy, why are they running?":laugh2:

Redway 19-04-2013 10:19 PM

No, not really...usually arrive just on time/a few minutes late. As Matt said, it's awkward waiting alone for half an hour.

Withano 20-04-2013 01:01 AM

In England, I literally have never showed up for work early or on time.. I pull my socks up working in different countries though
