Most Loved #8: Announcement

People have started asking me when the next Most Loved will be taking place, so I thought I'd announce some details about the upcoming bi-annual event. The first round will open a month from now, on Sunday the 26th of May, which is the day after TiBB Eurovision. There are a few reasons for this. Firstly, I have exams next week; secondly, because I want to; and thirdly, because traditionally it takes place between May/June and November/December; it was brought forward by a month so that Ben could be here for a previous Most Loved but I'm pushing it back to the original timeframe.

So, the first round will open on the 26th of May, which is a month from now. The reason I'm announcing this now is so people can contact me about withdrawing from the competition. There are quite a few people who are no longer eligible to be nominated, including those who have been permanently banned (temporarily banned members are still eligible), those who have unfortunately passed away, and those who have requested to be excluded from all future competitions. The common reason for this, is of course, that they have either expressly said they do not wish to take part, or they can not give their permission, and I don't want to cause any upset or negativity by including people who cannot be included. To reiterate: Ammi and Claymores do not wish to be included, all permanently banned members can not be included, and all deceased members can not be included.

So, if you wish to be excluded, please let me know before the 26th of May when the first round opens!

Once the 50 nominees have been established, round 2 will open (probably in early June) and the countdown will take place on a weekday evening in June, date to be decided closer to the time. I work in the evenings at weekends so there's no way for me to run it smoothly in one day at the weekend anymore, but I'll try and find a date that suits as many people as possible to host the countdown on!
