McDonald's is getting slack

The thing that bugs me most now about McDonald's is it takes bloody ages. I've sometimes stood there for like 10 minutes. I'm not one of those fussy eaters either I only order a large Big Mac meal. They just can't seem to deal with amount of people these days and everything just gets clogged up. Probably to do with the fact they're trying to serve three people at once as well. Maybe it's just the ones in Yorkshire, I dunno.

But they won't be getting my custom anymore if they keep it up :idc:

reece(: 12-05-2013 03:21 PM

It's not first come first serve at my regular one, a few people ordered a Mcflurry (me first) and I was the last to get my order, same with burger orders. :bored:

Redway 12-05-2013 03:23 PM

I'm usually shocked at how quickly they give me what I want...

Vicky. 12-05-2013 03:25 PM

Go in with your phone in your hand as if you are timing it... IF they notice the phone, they will think you are a mystery shopper (especially with you ordering a big mac meal) and serve you in the time they are supposed to.

This has worked for me for months and months, ever since I registered on a mystery shopper site and found out this is how they evaluate mcdonalds :p

Josy 12-05-2013 03:28 PM

It's even worse waiting on a drive through then after you pay they tell you to park up and they will bring it over, fgs I wouldn't be going through the drive through in the first place if I wasn't in a hurry you *****.

Sounds good LOL but it's always awkward now because when they're serving more than one at a time you've got people hanging around the side of the tills not really knowing where to stand. Saying that though they've always been awful with queues. It's basically who can jump to the till first.

King Gizzard 12-05-2013 03:39 PM

most times I go to the drive thru here and it's just people with the touch screen things cause the booth isn't working and 9 times out of 10 they get the order wrong

Patrick 12-05-2013 03:45 PM

Literally the only time they've ever been quick with me is at 3:45 every weekday - and I have to time it to be around that time or else they'll take ages.

It seems like at that time at the branch I go to, they always have Mayo Chicken sandwhiches sitting already made and heated - so when I ask for one, they give me it within a minute and then I hop on my bus home.

Any other time though, they do take absolutely ******ing ages and it's a disgrace.

I can come in and ask for a small portion of fries - some family could come in after me and order a massive meal, mcflurries and everything - and they'll get served before me. It's a joke.

No they are having Problems every place
they need to employ Hard Workers
not Fat people

Novo 12-05-2013 03:47 PM

Never really been bothered about waiting, it's a pretty demanding Job when their are only a few of them working there, feel really bad when you go in and there is a massive queue and you see them all going back and forth and trying to keep up, got nothing but respect for people who can work in situations like that rather then sitting on your ass in an office all day inputting data for twice the wage

I can't say I've noticed if they're fat or not. It's McDonald's fault for not training people properly.

reece(: 12-05-2013 03:51 PM

All the workers at mine are fat and chavvy, love pissing around behind the tills. It's a joke.

Novo is describing them as national heroes who carry out almighty tasks  At my one they just ****** about behind the counter.

Yes bad managers

Fat People - get in the way

King Gizzard 12-05-2013 04:00 PM

Would be inclined to agree with Novo

Novo 12-05-2013 04:10 PM

I'm not describing them as National Heroes :joker: i'm just saying that it looks brutal when you see a massive queue and not many people working, and it pisses me off so much when you see kids throwing the sauces around and tipping their drinks on the trays and **** like that.

King Gizzard 12-05-2013 04:11 PM

and they're treated like **** too

InOne 12-05-2013 04:14 PM

I love how they're now trying to dress McDonald's up as some homely restaurant where you can pop in for a nice meal and a coffee yet it's still the same chavs that mostly frequent it.

waterhog 12-05-2013 04:17 PM

i would do a poem on MD - but don't ever eat this stuff. much perfer a kebab and its cheaper. and i feel full up after it. unlike MD.

arista 12-05-2013 04:19 PM

Novo - Its Hard Work
and those that work Harder go up the ladder.

If I had a Branch I would employ Polish workers - making more money
for my Franchise
as so many British Workers are Slow - you can afford to lose a Customer

Kebab's can be dodgy meat at times.

InOne 12-05-2013 04:21 PM

The Polish have either gone or moved up the ladder. It's mostly Romanians and Slovakians working there now.

..wouldn't it be better to motivate people more..that's discrimination surely...

Novo 12-05-2013 04:29 PM

Arista getting complaints every 5 minutes from Customers asking him why none of the workers can speak or understand a word of English

Novo 12-05-2013 04:31 PM

But he doesn't care because he's only paying them £2.34 an hour

Marsh. 12-05-2013 04:51 PM

 "Me no understand". Then you hear the crack of Arista's whip from behind them.

Vanessa 12-05-2013 05:20 PM

I love McDonalds. They're usually really nice, so i don't mind waiting.

AnnieK 12-05-2013 05:52 PM

I've always wanted to flip at them like Michael Douglas in Falling Down when they get it wrong it when I get a burger that's got wilted lettuce and is as flat as a pancake or when it's 10.31 and they have no breakfast stuff left....never have though

Yeah...you got that right... I'd end up shooting myself, apologising and leaving mortified...

Either that or like I usually do and not say anything...

..I'm sorry Arista but we're going to have to disagree about this...you say that you would employ Polish people because UK people are lazy..?...but to me that just makes you what you accuse them of...a lazy employer who wants the most back for the least input and maybe the lowest wage as well..?...so really that isn't the answer at all and not only hypocritical but very discriminatory....

..Arista, you're always saying..can you put this or that country in the title..like you're very proud to be British..but you won't employ any because you think they may require a bit more effort..?...but they're the lazy ones..?...

EDIT:..as an employer, it's also up to you to motivate people to want to work for you and to enjoy the job they do more...if that isn't worth the effort and it's better to take an easier option, then you're letting those 'lazy' young people down as well...so where's the motivation for them to want to become anything else..?....

arista 12-05-2013 06:41 PM

"as an employer, it's also up to you to motivate people to want to work for you and to enjoy the job they do more.."

Of Course Ammi
if you have time and money for that.

But a McD Franchise costs money to set up
so to get money back faster
in this Cut Throat Industy
I employ Only Hard Workers

..yeah, I do understand what you're saying Arista....to get your return quicker for the least effort could still be described as a 'lazy' option..which is exactly what you're saying about young UK people..and most successful businesses are just so because they think of long term and not the 'quick return'....you have to invest more than just money in a good business...

Is it just Liverpool/Merseyside or have they scraped Quarter Pounder meals everywhere now? Went into one the other day and they gave me a Chigago burger alternative LOL (Tastes of America). Wish they wouldn't make the buns all spicy and coat the thing with mayonnaise (which I usually like) and lettuce. :bored:
