Food Shopping.

YAY OR NAY???

I love it tbh, especially when you can treat yourself and you don't know what to go, so look down the aisles to see what you fancy

Ryan57 19-05-2013 01:25 PM

Wouldn't say it's exactly entertaining, Lucas. :suspect:

I love it too, especially when I can buy what I like and I'm on my own to wander at leisure.

Marcus. 19-05-2013 01:26 PM

yah

InOne 19-05-2013 01:29 PM

I always think of these wonderful things I want from supermarket but when I get there my mind goes blank

MTVN 19-05-2013 01:30 PM

Awful chore, just try and whizz round the aisles as quickly as possible, which means I often don't buy enough or forget something I'd intended to get

Lee. 19-05-2013 01:32 PM

Nope, hate it.

zakman440 19-05-2013 01:47 PM

Love it. Its just carrying it all home that's the problem.

Ammi 19-05-2013 01:50 PM

..I'm not really a huge fan of supermarkets and my OH gets carried away putting his treats in my trolley, so it always costs 3 times as much when he comes with me....

Ammi 19-05-2013 01:51 PM

..but I love him, he's an angel..he's just washed my car......

Black Dagger 19-05-2013 01:52 PM

Yay for Mr Ammi being a saint

I'm like him in the treats regards though, Dad gives me like £20 to go and get stuff like bread and hopes I'll come back with like a tenner, never happens, I just bung brownies and peanut butter and sweets in my basket and give him like 30p change.

Samm 19-05-2013 01:54 PM

YAY

..haha..you sound just like my son, Lucas..'could you please get me some bread on your way home'..*hands over £20 note*....*comes home with a bag of stuff...no change..*.....does that sound familiar..?...

Josy 19-05-2013 02:20 PM

It's alright

Kizzy 19-05-2013 02:51 PM

I don't mind it, have it down to a fine art now. Usually get more or less the same stuff so it doesn't take too long :)

Shaun 19-05-2013 02:54 PM

like doing it... hate carrying it home.

because I prefer to do all of it in one go for a week or so, so I buy quite a bit

Harry! 19-05-2013 09:03 PM

I do like food shopping even if you are not buying anything it is great to have a browse.

AnnieK 19-05-2013 09:05 PM

Hate it...only thing worse than doing it is having to put it all away...

Princess 20-05-2013 03:20 AM

I love it, picking out all your favourite things or something new and thinking what to cook.

lostalex 20-05-2013 03:26 AM

Love grocery shopping. I'm a kid in a candy shop. literally.

My only complaint is that they always tuck the toilet paper and personal hygiene products away in the back, so you almost always forget it. They really should put the toiletries closer to the check out. Instead of having candy in the check out lanes, they should have toilet paper and soap.

This was me for a very long time. Make a list, carry it...show it to others, be embarrassed... ;) You'll get the things you want. Nothing worse than being sent off to the markets with nothing but hunger on your mind, you'll buy the worst things! :joker:

lostalex 20-05-2013 09:31 AM

MTVN and Shark must not be single then. When you're single, you're spending your hard earned money on whatever you want. it feels great. You guys sound like you are shopping for your mom.

Niamh. 20-05-2013 09:38 AM

I hate food shopping, Gav does it most of the time though thankfully

Marc 20-05-2013 09:47 AM

Supermarket Sweep is my idea of heaven

Really? My OH would return with the biggest lot of **** ever if he had to go food shopping on his own tbh.

I said up the page it was alright but today I'm not so sure because it's a quite nice day outside here (for a change) and I will end up going food shopping and buying in lots of different types of food for eating in hot weather then knowing my luck it will be pissing down with rain tomorrow and we wont fancy eating anything thats in the fridge.

Same! When I was at uni I used to hate carrying it home and when a housemate would drive to Tesco I'd be on that like a fly on sh**

Jesus. 20-05-2013 11:58 AM

The one thing I absolutely despise about shopping, but you also get it walking round the city centre as well - the people who just suddenly stop there and then for seemingly no reason. Slow down first, maybe move over the the side, but don't just ******ing stop causing me to swerve round you. I will shake my head and swear under my breath as I make it round you.

King Gizzard 20-05-2013 11:59 AM

when I was a kid and it wasn't my money, yes

Gstar 20-05-2013 12:03 PM

I love grocery shopping, it's such a good feeling when you get everything off the shopping list.

... yes, shopping lists help a lot

haha yeah, he's better at it then me too, I'd end up spending twice as much for the same amount of things  I think it's because his mother died when he was 13 and he had to look after himself alot. Also, he's at home more than I am anyway so it makes more sense

You are lucky then that he's like that, Stuart is like a big kid when we go a food shop fills the trolley up with lots of crap.
