Hazel's reaction to Charlies comment.

What did you think? Justified or an overreaction?

MTVN 25-06-2013 09:24 PM

Justified.. can't be nice having someone who knows nothing about her relationship suggest she might have been a factor in the suicide

That's not to say Charlie was being deliberately horrible or anything though, she just wasn't thinking about insensitive it might come across

Me. I Am Salman 25-06-2013 09:27 PM

You're talking as if they had a full on argument and she spat on her face

Calderyon 25-06-2013 09:27 PM

Justified. What a horrible thing to ask.

Scream 25-06-2013 09:27 PM

Someone explain??

GypsyGoth 25-06-2013 09:27 PM

I don't think Hazel will ever forget it for the whole series.

It was a silly thing for Charlie to ask but I don't feel it was meant in a malicious way at all.

Amy Jade 25-06-2013 09:28 PM

Justified, Charlie was way out of line.

Hazel handled it quite well I think, she's not being rude and she's willing to leave it.

Yeah, agree with this

alchemist 25-06-2013 09:28 PM

What did Charlie say? I missed it and I'm really intrigued

Indy 25-06-2013 09:29 PM

I wonder how many free passes at "she didn't mean it" Charlie will get before people decide she's doing it for gameplay and not because she's really that stupid.

Hazel's ex boyfriend was a boxer who Daley knew and fought before. He committed suicide, and as Hazel was talking to them about it, Charlie asked if he killed himself because Hazel broke up with him. Hazel was taken aback and said she hoped not.

Charlie asked whether Hazel's boyfriend killed herself because of their break up
Hazel just found it slightly uncomfortable, naturally said no and tried forgetting about it, but apparently she made a huge reaction..

Me. I Am Salman 25-06-2013 09:32 PM

You posted it in this thread like a second ago :laugh3:

Livia 25-06-2013 09:32 PM

Charlie was incredibly tactless.

Braden 25-06-2013 09:32 PM

Charlie just needs to think before she speaks.

Hazel handled it pretty well tbh, if I were her I would literally have gone crazy.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 25-06-2013 09:33 PM

i feel really bad for charlie

she looked so upset in the dr

Firewire 25-06-2013 09:35 PM

Justified. Charlie should have kept her mouth shut. It honestly could haunt Hazel for the rest of her life.

pcro 25-06-2013 09:36 PM

Justified or not, I think this will be a major catalyst in cementing some real divides in the house.

Gillian-73 25-06-2013 10:09 PM

Justified! You don't ask a question like that! Charlie was tactless and insensitive.

smeagol 25-06-2013 10:12 PM

justified the only thing i didnt like was hazel said she doesnt want to talk about it but then talks to dan and jack and jill and god knows who else,
i just think she doesn't like her that much.

fruit_cake 25-06-2013 10:18 PM

I thought Hazel took it too far she's clearly not forgiven Charlie. That make up was totally fake imo

Jords 25-06-2013 10:38 PM

Justified but I think Charlie came off better actually in the aftermauth.

Josy 25-06-2013 10:42 PM

It was justified at first, not 7 hours later when she was still bringing it up at the same time as saying she didn't want to talk about it :idc:

Marsh. 25-06-2013 10:46 PM

Justified.

I'm not sure on what planet it could be an overreaction, she deliberately walked away so as to not cause a scene over it.

Then they resolved it maturely. By BB standards they both got out of it pretty well.

Johnnyuk123 25-06-2013 10:48 PM

It's not as if Charlie asked if she had a wart on her fanny.

Yep.

cookiemonster 25-06-2013 10:49 PM

i don't think she overreacted. she would have though if she had been outside the house. that's the impression i get, and i swear she's said something along those lines. that in the house she feels you have to hold back

Withano 25-06-2013 10:49 PM

Its weird that they didn't talk for 8 hours and Hazel was the one who asked for a hug, she's clearly a lovely person.

Pink Pegasus 25-06-2013 10:58 PM

I would have gone absolutely crazy if Charlie had said something like that to me!

Not sure how Hazel managed to keep her cool at all. And I'm saying this as someone who usually prefers Charlie to Hazel.

I can't believe how unbelievably stupid and insensitive Charlie was to ask those types of questions. I agree when Hazel said that "her worst enemy" wouldn't have said those things to her.

However, I don't for a second think she meant to cause any hurt and I think she really did feel terrible and absolutely redeemed herself by not only her apology to Hazel, but also by later again acknowledging her flaws and explaining herself when Jemima and her mum were arguing.

rionablue 25-06-2013 11:49 PM

Justified. I think when Charlie started talking about it she should have gaged that it wasnt the right think to say then just say 'sorry I didnt mean that, i dont know what iw as thinking' but she kinda kept on till the end of what she was going to say then it took a second to realise it was totally the wrong thing to say. That said I know she wasnt trying to hurt Hazel and Hazel dealt with it very well. The only reason she talked to a few people about it was that they are the ppl who are closest to her as was said on BBOTS tonight

As long as Hazel leaves it there .... its all good. End of. (silly mistake from Charlie but not malicious)

DanielLuis 26-06-2013 12:09 AM

It was justified. Charlie did it unintentionally though.

maryse12 26-06-2013 12:30 AM

Absolutely justified.

CaudleHalbard 26-06-2013 12:31 AM

Charlie has all the tact of Alan Partridge! :D

Tragic story.

JayBlaze 26-06-2013 01:50 AM

Charlie was probably right

thesheriff443 26-06-2013 07:20 AM

hazel could bore someone to death!
Charlie fell into her hands, it was already clear hazel did not like Charlie as the guys hover around Charlie, hazel laying it on nice and thick!, it was just saying without thinking in the same way Jackie slipped up with Michael saying he was the only one nominating!

Marc 26-06-2013 07:31 AM

Charlie should've just dropped the whole thing rather than try to desperately apologise to make herself feel better. It made for a very awkward situation

Cherie 26-06-2013 07:34 AM

Was anyone else surprised that that was aired? :conf: I thought HMs weren't allowed to speak about people outside the house, isn't that why we get all the twittering birds on LF? What about this poor guy's family having it discussed like that it was pretty poor imo.
