CUCUMBERGATE - Whose Side Are You On?

Just out of interest, who actually agrees with who in this situation? :conf:

GiRTh 28-07-2013 09:00 PM

Already a thread.

Ramsay 28-07-2013 09:00 PM

If its already a poll - please accept my apologies. I couldn't find it so started one.

Videostar 28-07-2013 09:12 PM

Hazel.

Charlie totally over reacted both in the messing around with the cucumber and in the aftermath.

Johnnyuk123 28-07-2013 09:14 PM

I think both girls should make up and share the cucumber.

Natalie. 28-07-2013 09:14 PM

Cucumbers side

Maneki-neko 28-07-2013 09:15 PM

Benedict Cumberbatch gate?

Johnnyuk123 28-07-2013 09:15 PM

Slip a condom over the cucumber everyones satisfied.

Fosse 28-07-2013 09:19 PM

I had to laugh at Charlie bringing up the spectre of Daley out of a seemingly silly cucumber incident.

Way to go to make Hazel feel even more insecure and upset.

Ten out of ten - top telly!

fingers 28-07-2013 09:22 PM

No one can mention Daley anymore?

Benji_ 28-07-2013 09:23 PM

Pointless argument

Patricia4 28-07-2013 09:24 PM

I dont care for Hazel but she was right Charlie is coming across a spoilt brat.

toronto_matt 28-07-2013 09:24 PM

hazel doing a turnaround in polls? interesting :P

Johnnyuk123 28-07-2013 09:24 PM

To put things into perspective Charlie did turn the wheel on quite a few days when Daley was taking a shower so maybe it was just a reference to that?

not unless it's EmmerDaley.

Marc 28-07-2013 09:46 PM

Charlie shouldn't have brought up Daley, because by doing so she sort of let on to the fact that she had (if only slightly) found Hazel responsible for his ejection. Which has probably gone through Hazel's head ever since the situation and if somebody so close to her in the house also thinks it, that must be tough and a bit of a slap in the face.

Can't. Dexter ate it.

I don't care who is at fault, I enjoyed it, we need more fall-outs

She went on to be more explicit about that thought to Gina and Dexter, but was leaving the names out. Gina didn't get it, and thought she was trying to say something else (or she did and was purposely trying to deflect it in a different direction), but it was pretty clear what Charlie meant.

billy123 28-07-2013 09:51 PM

I agree with johnnyuk123 he has a valid point

Why do you need a condom on a cucumber? Especially a home grown one?

rusticgal 28-07-2013 10:08 PM

So Charlie was drunk....she did not deliberatly poke Hazel in the eye with the cucumber...it was an accident and not a deliberate act.
Hazel made a big deal out of it after her call to the diary room saying to BB 'I dont THINK she meant it'.... Why should Charlie have meant it??? She isnt aggressive...but sometimes you just get CLUMSEY when you have had a drink.
Hazel denied saying she had used the word aggressive and only admitted it when Callum stated she did.... Callum pathetically denied to Charlie that he agreed with Hazel when she descibed Charlie as being aggressive....when he DID.
Charlie may have harped on about it but out of frustration that the two of them initially denied what she CORRECTLY overheard.
Charlie shouldnt have mentioned the Daley thing...but she said what came into her head and that was that Daley had (rightly by the way) been called in because his behaviour was unacceptable and Charlie felt that behaviour had been concieved in the same way. Remember none of the other HM's know the details of what went on with Daley apart from Dan.

I'm with Charlie on this one.... Hazel as her supposed friend should have simply accepted it as drunken frolics and that it was accidental... but she seemed to want to insinuate that Charlie was unnecessarily aggressive in a deliberate way.

No she shouldn't have .... but dont forget the other housemates do not know the details of what happened and because Hazel only confided in Dan...the rest of them could only speculate the intensity of it.... Charlie possibly thinks that in their drink infested night in the Safe house something as innocent had occured and been magnified to the point that Hazel had misconstrued something 'accidental' as the cucumber as something aggressively deliberate thus resulting in Daleys dismissal.

She did accept it as frolics?... and by saying she gets aggressive when drunk meant over boisterous.. Which when you're drunk is fine but if sober is soooooo annoying.
Charlie has no filter, at 27 she really needs to stop shooting her mouth off and then bleating when others wont make allowances for her indiscreet, insulting or upsetting faux pas.
Why on earth would someone think it's ok to say whatever, whenever to whoever and yet challenge others as to their choice of words or intention?.....She is crazy.

Calderyon 28-07-2013 10:22 PM

Both were in the wrong, Hazel should not have said "a bit aggressive" thing and Charlie should not have said they "Now i know how Daley feels"/"Itīs a little bit like the Daley thing".

Charlie did make it worse though, with all the overreacting. Should have left it for next day, as it was clear that she īwasnīt in her right mind in that moment.

So i am on Hazelīs side on this one.

Isnt that hypocritical?...its OK for Hazel to use the word 'aggressive' about her friend instead of 'boisterous' which is better terminology when talking of your 'friend' when a little drunk....unyet you say Charlie makes indiscreet, insulting and upsettin faux pas???
Charlie does speak before she thinks but none of its intentional.... Hazel is cold and calculating and knew exactly what she was doing. I would rather a friend like Charlie than someone like Hazel....she would stab you in the back at the first opportunity.

RodHull 28-07-2013 10:53 PM

What Charlie nearly said indicates she clearly feels Hazel in some way stitched Daley up and got him booted out on spurious claims. I think thats why she took offense.

The usual excuse used by someone who was out scoring when everyone else was learning tact and diplomacy, Charlie knows she and hazel aren't friends... they are just two women on big brother.
