I honestly don't get why people want Sam to win

Yes, he is nice. Yes, I like him. But he hasn't done anything much to warrant being voted the winner. Imagine if we had a season of people that were just like him, it would be dull and people would moan to hell, so I don't get why people are backing him as a winner this time? This is BB, an entertainment show and a gameshow, not be as nice as you can and cruise though 10 weeks of TV to be given money for doing so.

AnnieK 03-08-2013 09:09 PM

It worked for Rachel Rice and Cameron in BB4.

I agree though, he isn't a worthy winner but if people vote for him he could easily win

Vanessa 03-08-2013 09:09 PM

Agreed. Sam makes even Cameron and Rachel Rice interesting. :joker::joker:

Kazanne 03-08-2013 09:11 PM

I want Sam to win:devil:

Macie Lightfoot 03-08-2013 09:12 PM

Rachel Rice was always interesting.

I don't actively want Sam to win, but I wouldn't mind it. He'd still be better than about half the godawful winners we've had. I'll settle with anything as long as Jack and Joe don't win.

smeagol 03-08-2013 09:12 PM

I keep asking Sam supporters this and they either never answer the question or give sarcy answers.

I would love to hear genuine reason as to why he should win.

Why would he be better than past winners? we have had some terrible winners, but what stands Sam out as a better winner to them?

For me he would be the worst of all the past winners, even worse than Rachel Rice and Anthony Hutton, and they are tough acts to follow.

Nor is it be as horrible as you can and cruise through 10 weeks of TV to be given money for doing so.

They are all reprobates and wannabes. Rewarding anyone for being so does not sit well with me.

Sam has conquered and is dealing with difficulty every single day, the the others and loads of this forum could not even dream of. He is a nice young lad who would put the money to good use.

He has my respect. I don't really give a toss who wins. But if I had to choose, it would be him.

KingOfTheMods 03-08-2013 09:16 PM

He's the most boring non-entity ever to have got this far, even worse than Rachel and Cameron. They were boring but at least they had their own personalities. Sam is a frigging bore lord who is blander than bland. If he wins I'm gonna kick a puppy.

Macie Lightfoot 03-08-2013 09:16 PM

He'd be better because this show has a ****ing horrible track record for winners and half of them are repulsive in one way or another. Sam being completely inoffensive makes him one of the better winners by default.

Anthony was my favourite that year, but i couldn't stand fence sitter Rachel. Rex was robbed that year.
Sam would be the most pointless winner ever.

So true, they actually engaged in conversation with other housemates.. i don't think i have ever seen Sam start a conversation with anyone bar Callum, he doesn't even try either

I noticed that. He doesn't seem interested in talking to anyone in there. :suspect:

How do you know he's nice? He never says or does anything. He could be sat there thinking of the different ways he's going to stalk and murder them all for all we know.

I didn't say he was nice though?

This is very true Sam started off well until he paired up with Callum, I think big brother should give him a task to get to know everyone better. He's young and deserves a second chance :)

smudgie 03-08-2013 09:28 PM

I like Sam, great lad so far.
Best reason of all I can give for him winning is.... Dexter won't:joker::joker::joker:

I agree. Callum has isolated Sam. He's not close to anyone now.

I have given genuine reasons below. People seem to fly past them. How convenient.

Inoffensive, whatever. The fact that you think he's a deserving winner cause he sits there with his thumb up his ass doing eff all baffles me.

Calderyon 03-08-2013 09:33 PM

I donīt want him to win. But if it comes down to it that he is the last hope to prevent Gina from winning, i have to hope he does.

It doesnīt mean that i support him, it means i do not want Gina to win.

According to Callum, Gina is the only other he is close to because she actually listens to what he says and repeats stuff for him if he struggles? Hopefully this is the case and we see both of them get closer and he brings out her nicer side and she brings out his livelier side.

So, it's a sympathy vote then? If he didn't have a disability, you wouldn't support him?

I didn't say he's a deserving winner, I'm just saying that I much prefer him to some of the assholes who have won previous series so by default he'd be in the top half of winners for me. If it really baffles you that I'd rather have someone I'm indifferent to win than someone I dislike then continue to be baffled.

He is dealing with difficulties. Doesn't make an issue of it. Doesn't go out of his way to **** with people. I have no sympathy for him, he is in no need of sympathy. People need to stop using that phrase, because its condescending and quite frankly, bollocks.

Different strokes I suppose. I'd rather have a controversial winner good or bad than someone who has quite literally brought nothing to the program, he's been an absolute waste of a hm.

Macie Lightfoot 03-08-2013 09:43 PM

idk it just seems counter intuitive for me to want someone to win who I absolutely did not enjoy viewing for 2-3 months, which qualifies at least half of the winners this show has had.

You keep pointing out his "difficulty", nobody else. They just respond to you. :joker:

So, he is deaf, but others are dealing with difficulties too, it is not a reason for ANY housemate to win.

Yes I do. Because that is the very reason I have respect for him. What difficulties are others in there dealing with? Gina's shoes too tight? Hazel's eyeliner running?

Well then surely Sam shouldn't be allowed to be a housemate if he gets supported just for having 'difficulties'. Same basis goes for Steve, Verne etc. It's like the Olympics and Paralympics, they seperate them for a reason because the able-bodied would have an advantage in most events. Well, this is just the same, since Sam gets an advantage just for being physically different to the other housemates.

BBfan46 03-08-2013 10:02 PM

It's a game show!

He's not contributed to the game. He barely speaks!

Even now, he has about 3 lines on the HL show and there's only 7 housemates left!

No doubt, he's a lovely guy but he's boring. Unfortunately, he will win

YodaBB 03-08-2013 10:05 PM

I want Gina to have the title & Sam to have the prizefund

Going by that logic blacks and whites, gays and non gays should all have separate bathrooms, restaurants and travel on different buses.

It's not a 100m sprint, its a gameshow as pointed out. There is no reason to exclude anyone from that house based on any physical differences. It would probably be illegal to do so.
