felt so bad for charlie
I must admit I felt so sorry for chrlie tonight :(
|
Me too. Particularly when she was trying to explain herself and Hazel just kept hectoring her and not letting her finish what she was saying.
Always pisses me off when people do that. All but demand an explanation from someone then not let them do it. |
Hazel didn't want any explanations she just wanted to let Charlie know what she now thought as to her.
I didn't feel sorry for Charlie in the slightest, not at all in fact. |
me too, the ganging up was disgraceful
|
I don't really like Charlie, find her very annoying at times but even I felt bad for her.
Quote:
She never shut up for a few seconds to actually listen to what Charlie was saying, she just went on and on. |
I don't much like Charlie, but it's really not nice to a watch group round on someone like that. She looked like someone had stolen the floor from under her.
|
I didn't like seeing everyone ganging up on her, that was a tad uncomfortable viewing.
But I thought over all she handled herself very well, she stood her ground a lot of the time, and she every tried to logically explain her thought processes to them. |
I think this episode demonstrated the difference between men and women. Men don't react to gossip like women do. Men don take gossip like gospel. Men tend to rationalise; they'd say it must be the edit, etc. Women turn on each other very quickly without ascertaining the truth.
|
She's making the mistake of being trying to be logical and sincere to a bunch of people who don't seem to give a flying toss about reasonable explanations but only care about their own image.
|
Please don't allow a group of Big Brother housemates, most of whom would be willing to push their grandmother in front of a bus to win, stand for the whole of humanity.
I'm female and would never take gossip as gospel. I know plenty of men who would. People are people. The differences between men and women are massively exaggerated. |
Charlie's like a child.
She gets very physical, emotional and incomprehensible when put under the spotlight and challenged for something she's done wrong and claims to not see it. Things calm down and she promises not to do it again and gets very childlike with her apology and goes quiet. Then the following day when the moment has passed and things return to normal, maybe she's forgiven, she reverts back to normal but still appears to not become aware that she's doing it. Making her extremely immature and lacking in self awareness or very sly indeed. |

I think some women are just more "bitchy". Interesting Dexter joins in with "the gossip too. Draw your own conclusions.. ;) |

It's not gossipping that's the problem, but women are famous for making and breaking bonds with each other more than men.

The trouble is, when people fit the stereotype we all notice and say,. look at them being typically male or typically female. We conveniently fail to notice the many people who don't fit that stereotype, or we code it differently (for instance a behaviour when performed by a man might get coded as strong, and by a woman as in your face). When Callum and Dex got 'close' and then turned on each other, nobody drew any conclusions about males in general, they just drew conclusions about the individuals involved. |

She thinks it's easier to admit being wrong to put an end to the whole sorry affair. i.e. people in there can't (or won't) see her side of things even if they wanted to. When Hazel got in a strop over her saying it was like Daley in the diary room (still not sure what she did wrong there), she accepted defeat passively. Charlie might be naive but she's not so stupid to know when she's flogging a dead horse. Not Charlie's fault Hazel is touchy about the whole Daley affair. Hazel is generally lovely but she's got a crazy steak in her. |

To be fair I did say SOME women. And tbh I wouldn't put Dan (or Dexter) in the "real man" category. |
I think the gang bully mentallity of the housemates against a solitary housemate was utterly disgusting.
The most uncomfortable episode of a BB that i have ever felt. Charlie personality wise is a thousand times better than any one of those inconsiderate verbal thugs. |
It was awful watching them all harrass Charlie and latch onto the comments by their friends and family. They have lived with her 24/7 you would know by now if she was really that nasty and sly.
Charlie handled herself really well, thought she was great. |

I thought it was a well-known phenomenon that girls, especially children, chopped and changed their friends all the time; bf one week, enemy the next.
|
Boys do it too, it's just less well observed. because people see it in girls and don't notice it in boys.
it is possibly more intense with girls, because there is massive social pressure to have a BFF and be uber close to them. But children generally do practice social relations, and that includes breaking friends as much as making them. Girls are also encouraged to act out their emotional state in a way boys aren;t. So it may be less apparent that the same basic mechanism is at play. |
As far as I am concerned Charlie is the only housemate left in that is a deserving winner.
Sam even mor boring than watching paint dry Sophie nice girl but also like watcing paint dry Dexter slimy as usual Gina really let her self down showing virtually no intelligence in her logic Hazel the bigest ruthless game player and tough cooky The twins two very forgettable fools....... Charlie to win........... |

Tbh I didn't, all she did was change the goalpost when it suited her and then done some fake tears.

Some men are more like women than men e.g. in the way they bitch. To be fair he might be boring as hell but you don't see plainman alpha male Sam bitching. Let's face facts, gay/bi people often act more like women in their bitching/gossiping than men. Sam is the boring alpha male. The twins are hardly out of nappies. Yes Callum bitched but he appeared mixed up in his head. Quote:
It begs the question... If Sam and Charlie are the nicest people in there then how come Sam is supposedly storming it and Charlie is way behind ? Erm, think we all know the answer ! |
Charlie deserved what she got..
I have been telling people how sly and manipulative Charlie is for many weeks. Charlie deserved what she got, because finally some real truth has been told. She has been mean, cruel, heartless, selfish, and never cared abut other people's feelings. What goes around comes around. Evict Charlie next!
In the past, people ganged up on Dexter, then Jemima, then Wolfy, then Callum. None of those housemates got any sympathy. Why would Charlie be an exception? Charlie is absolutely horrible person. She deserves what she got. She is only upset because she got found out. |
I find it quite funny how they can all act like hungry wolves on the attack ganging up on one person and they are delusional enough to think they made the one being attacked look to be the bad one and that person will be the one to go.
As Gina said tonight "Charlie will definitely go Friday unless she plays the victim". Do they really not realise that she isn't the one that looked bad and THEY are the ones that turned her into the victim? :conf: More likely Hazel has well and truly sealed her fate tonight. |

With everything else going against Charlie, she seemed to be kicking her when she was down. Hazel was more wronged by Charlie than Charlie was by Hazel, yet I felt that Hazel was too cold and venomous to be sided with as she should have been - if you know what I mean! Both Hazel and Gina made a more of a victim of Charlie than was necessary - and in the process made themselves look bad. |
Quote:
What I meant was that Dan and Dex are just as male, they just present different masculinities. There isn't a single model of masculinity to which 'real men' adhere; and non-conformity to a single model of masculinity does not make someone 'not a real man'. |
Quote:
I DO agree she made a meal out of the love triangle thing. But I sense it's more about not wanting to offend people than manipulating them. Or is too worried about offending people or public perception. Think she's just too weak to say no ! Sorry but Hazel with her top off getting a rub down or foot massage from Joe/Jack strikes me as her sucking up big time for much needed alliances. Would she REALLY let them anywhere near her in the real world ? Fact is, she's already said she doesn't care about anyone in there ?! You can have personal opinions on someone but you can't argue with blatant inconsistency... |
Charlie annoys the hell out of me she speaks at 600 mph about how she's not good at things.... confrontation, assessing situations/people, not saying the wrong thing, speaking up for herself.....
|
Charlie is mentally challenged - to put it kindly!
|
I think she's maternally challenged :p
|

It was horrible when she was crying!

Quote:
So either she's completely blind and can't see these things or she's a sly bitch who uses her reputation of not thinking before she speaks, being a bit ditzy, being on a 'journey' to get away with it. |
