I normally say "alright" back which confuses some people but I treat it more as a greeting than a question

Normally..."yeah good thanks, you?" I always say I'm good or all right as I don't really thinks its a question asking how you really are and I hate it when I say something like that when passing someone and they stop then to tell me no,they're not all right and launch into why that is....I was only being polite!!
