Proud of myself would be overcoming a break up of a 4 year relationship and the death of a close family member to get a first in my degree and also getting the award for composition.

Proud of someone I know would be my sister just in general. She's so hardworking and it's great to see her doing so well in life.

...giving birth to 2 incredible and amazing people...

I fixed a cupboard on Friday last week

Losing 7 stone in the past 14 months to get to my healthy weight!

Becoming an aunt for the first time was one of the best moments of my life, I am still so proud of my first niece, she's had a tough little life but she's 10 now and she makes me so proud every day.

Also I am proud of lots of things I did last week but everyone is sick of hearing about it, so whatever.

Being born is my best achievement so far.

Having my son....after a lot of heartache along the way including losing two sets of twins....he is perfect :love:

Other than that, the fact that I can change a car wheel on my own!

Myself - nothing yet. :(

I went to university when I was 34 years old. During my last semester, after a long illness my Dad died (the day before my birthday) I got my first class degree, the prize for best overall achievement for my year, best female graduate, and best independent research for my dissertation.

Collecting my degree was my proudest moment. I knew my Dad would have been proud. And I knew my mum and my big brother were there watching as I went up to the stage.

What made it all the sweeter, was thatwhen i first applied to do my degree there I was knocked back on the grounds of my a-levels from years before:p But I'd also looked at doing an English degree at the same university, and their school had a policy of always interviewing mature candidates, rather than judging solely on qualifications gained long before. So, I phoned the admissions secretary for the school of History and pushed for an interview.

I had to fight to get into that school. And had the satisfaction of being their star student for that year :p

The person I'm most proud of? There are a few. each for different reasons. I'll come back to this later :)

winning TiBB Eurovision or getting good grades idk

Being able to keep the same job for 6 years. That's a record for me. :joker:

Seriously, if I ever manage to do that I'd be singing songs of triumph.

I can honestly say, I have never successfully held down a job for that long. Unless you count being a councillor, but since that's a come and go as you please affair, i am not sure that counts :P

Me too! I always mess it up. Thank god my bosses are quite tolerant. :hugesmile:

I can relate to this somewhat, having suffered a loss near the end of my degree. But trying to do all that and cope with a loss, and also cope with the end of a long term relationship, all at the same time? Bloody hell. Well done.

My mum, bringing me and my sister up as a single parent. We never wanted for anything and she worked her butt off to give us the best childhood we could have possibly had.

Incidentally, does it spoil my degree story if I tell you that two days later I floated down off my little cloud of happy and went down with Noro virus ? :P

Probably managing to pass my exams and to hold down 2 jobs and the reason I got rid of both was reduncancy

I am proud of myself for changing my lifelong 30 year career in administration and finding work in my 50s in my new chosen career of becoming a social care worker and making the lives of severely brain damaged people that little bit more happy. My eyes have certainly been opened since I began my new work, people really do have no clue. While initially petrified and daunted I am really proud that I am making it, my rewards are when I recognise happiness on my being around them and the knowledge I have gained their trust.

Proud of someone else, has to be my husband who overcame losing a limb in a dreadful industrial accident. My husband never ceases to amaze me with his positive outlook and he never feels sorry for himself.

I feel I can safely say these are good reasons for being proud.

..I don't think you have to think about it for too long..how you feel about your mum and everything she means to you shows what a fine person you are to realise that..that in itself is something you should be very proud in yourself about..not everyone would understand what you do...

..and your mum sounds like an amazing lady...

My own proudest moments were giving birth to my son and daughter.

Very proud of our lovely daughter as she has just become head of department at her school, she is dyslexic and has ME so has had to work a little harder than most.

Proud of our gorgeous son as he got his degree and became an engineer, hard working lad just like his dad.

Proud of hubby for putting up with me for 31 years of marriage and still fancying me as well as loving me:hugesmile:

The look on my parents' faces when I got into the Uni of my choice, and the look on their faces when I graduated.

Marrying my husband - although every single thing about him makes me proud.

Realising, at the very lowest point of my life, that I can cope on my own with absolutely anything life has to throw at me.

Proudest part of my life so far, has to be coming out to my parents.

Being with PACYBER (the school I go to) for 9 years and meeting some of the nicest people that I could meet (you all here on TiBB). :D

I think the proudest moment of my life so far was shouting at a group of children at the school I worked at to stop bullying the new kid and, a few weeks later, watching them play with him in the playground and be friends with him. I didn't think I would have it in me to confront that kind of situation but I did it and, hopefully, I've made a difference to that one kid's whole life :)
