Does being Gay allow Louie to be Nasty ?

I've noticed since the start of CBB that Louie uses his gayness to get away with a lot of behaviour that other HM would be challenged on.

His verbal arrogance and general rudeness coupled with his bitchy behaviour are not pleasant to watch. His inappropriate touching of Courtney should have resulted in a warning from BB but no because he gay its OK. I bet she was very uncomfortable with his unwanted attentions.

His open rudeness to other HM should make him an obvious target but again due to his gay image he seems to get away with it.

I find him obnoxious and such a polar opposite to Julian Clary who was warm caring and funny on his CBB series. Louie is just common rude and vulgar , but dresses it up in campness so it's OK

So .... do you think he overplays his gayness ???

I think he's just not very nice. A very bitchy person.

Pincho Paxton 03-09-2013 12:40 PM

Nobody has complained. When Courtney grabbed Sophie's boob she complained, so she stopped. If somebody complained, and Louie still grabbed their boob that would be a warning.

Very bitchy but seems to get away with it in the house and judging by some of the forums he is considered funny and entertaining. But it's getting cheap laughs at other HM's expense....

That's true. I don't like that and i'm glad Sophie pulled him up on it.

Shaun 03-09-2013 12:46 PM

Being gay is not synonymous with being a camp queen... it's nothing to do with his being gay. This is incredibly defamatory.

So in your opinion he's just an incredibly nasty person irrespective of his sexuality .... .. fair point !!

MachoPoodle 03-09-2013 01:15 PM

I liked him to begin with, but I've gone off him now. He's become way too nasty for me, and him and Carol together are ten times worse than each of them on their own.

Daffodil 03-09-2013 01:28 PM

Louie and Carol together= Lou-Rol (loo roll?) :elephant:

So you take back the OP? Because this is honestly one of the most stupid things I've ever read. And this is TiBB.

Cherie 03-09-2013 01:31 PM

I love Louie, don't really consider him nasty as such. Bitchy and good at one liners yes, but not particularly nasty.

FFS yes lets give everyone warnings so all the housemates have to allways be on good behaviour im sure that would make rivittin television.

Courtney was practically naked and they were both just having fun, Courtney was loving it.

You assume it was "unwanted" attention from Louis? Why was she grinding, thrusting half naked then if she didn't want any attention

And comparing him to Julian Clarey just because they are both gay?

Whats that about.

Gay people are people, like straight people. Some are just cocks as are straights.

No it isn't, and louie is playing the bitchy queen?

flamingGalah! 03-09-2013 01:36 PM

Louie is a typical "bitchy queen", I have known quite a few blokes like him over the years & yes their nastiness IS accepted because it is done in a camp, bitchy, half-jokey way... Oh & I am gay by the way.

Chuckyegg 03-09-2013 01:39 PM

Using his gayness?
Good grief !!

So are you saying that if Bruce groped Courtney's fun bags, that would be fine up until she complained about it?

Or do you think if Bruce did that, he'd have been kicked out of the house and branded a pervert?

Macie Lightfoot 03-09-2013 02:01 PM

I don't think it's a conscious decision, but his gayness definitely makes it more acceptable. Just like his behavior and comments toward Courtney (and Lauren during the Temple)

or if they complained once he had grabbed it, cause in my book of life that is infact sexual assault.

It could probably do it to Vicky if they were having a mess around. It's something that you can do with friends.

waterhog 03-09-2013 02:08 PM

he is full on - and as a poster said - nothing like the wounderful juilian - but we need someone like loui in there as tempers are going to rise.

Really?

Well when i'm 44 i'll find a married 19 year old girl who i don't know from Adam, become friends after a few days of knowing her, and i'll have a good honk on her hooters, to put your theory to the test

Verbal 03-09-2013 02:15 PM

That's not a friend though is it. It's knowing your place.

I dont find him nasty I like him.

sampvt 03-09-2013 02:52 PM

Beingvgay seems to be a licence to get away with these daft actions. Pretty conclusive argument if you take Cbb into account.

Lord Of The Garden 03-09-2013 02:58 PM

The OP makes a good point but perhaps gets the terms wrong. I think it's more about Louis' 'campness' than 'gayness'

There's a difference between Gayness and Campness.

I know plenty of gay people who aren't camp. If they were to indulge in t*t squeezing behaviour (as Louis did with Courtney) then it would be uncomfortable viewing for sure.

But Camp seems to come with this acceptable, even expected thread of 'outrageousness' which tends to excuse the Camp of all manner of risque behaviour which is often found unacceptable if displayed by the less Camp amongst us.

For example, i can't imagine the 'un-camp' Ron squeezing Courtney's t*t and everyone laughing it off in the same manner as when Louis did it.

In that respect, Louis definitely does get away with more.

Shaun 03-09-2013 03:01 PM

To be fair it's not even really a uniquely 'camp' trait, there are plenty of pleasant camp people (Michael McIntyre is a good example)

It's just sad that the only thing about Louie that can be said here is he is bitchy, but it's got nothing to do with his sexuality or his flamboyance.

Amy Jade 03-09-2013 03:04 PM

Is Louie gay?

Oh yeah camp does not necessarily mean bitchy, but there is a often a risque element to camp where boundaries can be teased, even expected to be teased by definition and so bitching under the headline of 'camp' tends to be more acceptable - to some people - when it has those proverbial sequins stitched upon it.

In this respect i think Louie's flamboyance does allow him to get away with more - in some people's eyes.

In mine though - bitching is bitching - whether it's camp or not !

And Louie is not shy of bitching as he would be the first to admit !

No I don't take back the OP, but with hindsight I would have used Campness instead of Gayness, of course his sexuality has nothing to do with his behaviour.

But to re-iterate his nasty, spiteful, arrogant behaviour as of late is somehow tolerated by the other HM more and I wonder if his general campness has any bearing on how his behaviour is perceived.

Isnt your son gay?

Anyway try visiting a gay bar, all the straight girls grope the boys.

Its not really offensive its all in jest.

I do it to my girl mates and I aint "daft" its just a bit of fun and people need to just chill out and loosen up.

Kizzy 03-09-2013 03:42 PM

I don't think the groping thing is really a thing, she did ask him to feel them in the loo so? But the nasty comments, he camps them right up so they are a bit panto but they are still hurtful.

Right I'm closing this, the original post is offending other members and if there was no offence intended then I think it could have been worded better.
