Salon shampoos and conditioner, only 2.99 each in Body Care. Leaves my hair really shiny and fresh, good for regular washing, I only condition once a week or it is too soft, smells gorgeous.

Kizzy 05-09-2013 02:38 PM

Wow joz, your shelves must be creaking

I use nivea but the best thing ever is this...
http://www.superdrug.com/content/ebi...8/292338_l.jpg

I get my make up from the 99p shop, last thing I got was a black nivea mascara.

Josy 07-09-2013 12:42 PM

I wouldn't recommend that Gosh CC cream I posted above, I didn't like the feeling of it on my face and it made me look a bit ill/washed out.

Novo 07-09-2013 03:55 PM

the Kabuki Brush looks a bit kinky

Josy 09-09-2013 06:44 PM

I was walking past a little perfume shop and noticed they had cosmetic lucky dips in the window for £5 but you couldn't see what was inside so I bought one and it was crap

It had..

Virgin Vie Perfectly Polished Nail Polish in bright yellow
Bright Pink Eye Pigment (no labels so don't even know the make)
Collection 2000 Lipstick in a yucky dull gold colour
A hair net thing

So yeah it was crap.

Harry! 09-09-2013 06:51 PM

It is a sweet fruity smell, not as strong as you would expect, the perfume is marketed to younger people.

Kizzy 30-09-2013 01:30 AM

What's the little free one?
I got a pot of nivea everyday primer (can't post pics sorry)
It's good but you have to wait till it 'dries' to apply make up or it rubs off.

Not for all the ones I have tried Annie so far, it's terrible with glittery stuff but still does a good job and theres no messing around with cotton balls/pads.

Ammi 23-11-2013 06:56 PM

..oh, I don't know if it counts because they're gift sets/Christmas..but I got these today for a few of my work colleagues...3 for 2....

Thanks Josy  I'm really into magnetic polish at the moment but it's a nightmare to take off..I'll give it a go.

..does it strengthen your nails, Annie..?..

AnnieK 25-11-2013 06:00 AM

A little I guess, but I love it because it looks so pretty. Nail art without the hassle. I have to keep my nails polished these days after taking acrylic nails off after over 10 years of having them, my nail flake and break easily so any polish seems to help a little....but I only have limited time and patience so these polishes are great for me.

..oh, I've just googled it, I hadn't heard of it before...it comes out that way by itself..?..how clever...I've only had acrylic nails once because someone gave me a voucher as a birthday gift once but yeah, it was a nightmare to get them off..my nails weren't quite the same for around two months afterwards...I'm not really one much for fingernails anyway..(I'm more of a toenail person lol..)...I don't have any problems growing them but in general they irritate me and I keep snapping them off....there's nothing worse than constantly scratching yourself and drawing blood...it's one of the worst feelings ever...

AnnieK 25-11-2013 06:13 AM

You paint it on then hold a magnet over the top for the pattern....I have to have matching fingers and toes but because I interview a lot of people and have to point things out in contracts etc...I feel a bit weird if my nails are all broken and nasty so I keep them painted. I loved my acrylic nails but when Matthew came along the expense and time to get them done were low on my priorities....

..yeah, I can understand that you have to/want to have nice nails in your job...Annie, if you want less time and easy taking off, have you tries nail foils..?...there are so many patterns/colours etc and they really are so easy and so removable...the 'mirrored' ones are fabulous as well because you could never get that effect from a polish...

I haven't tried them....do they last though?

..I've only ever used them on my toes and I know that fingers get much more use lol, so maybe don't last so long...but with my toes they have never chipped or anything and I've had to remove them myself just because my nails have grown so much..and that's also when I've been on holiday/in the sea/pool etc...I use the Minx ones only because they were the only ones to do them at one time but they are quite expensive...I know a friend of mine uses much cheaper ones and they're just as good/long lasting....

..the silver mirrored ones look amazing...

AnnieK 25-11-2013 06:33 AM

Ooohhhh...I'm going to get some today. I've just had a quick look and you can get Christmas ones :amazed: I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks for the tip
