Is it me or can other people watching this show really see what it is about Lauren that keeps her as a front runner to win CBB ?

I can't see anything in fact I find her unfriendly, uncommunicative , aloof , boring and completely unfunny. But more importantly I struggle to understand the whole Lauren thing...!!!

Is it a case of the Emperors new clothes where we are all put under a spell to think she is wonderful warm and friendly.... No she's not she's at best Enigmatic , aloof and puzzling and at worst ugly, arrogant and self absorbed. I really can't see honestly I can't , why do people think she is so wonderful ?

What does she do in the house , is she a leader an alpha female ..?? No is she funny humerous does she command a presence..? No no no

She is none of those things ... In fact she is quite a boring HM who should of been evicted long time ago, and why are all the HM walking on eggshells around her... afraid to say anything to her that might upset her ? Well Boo Hoo!!!!

I don't get it ... I really don't perhaps I'm missing something perhaps someone can enlighten me !!!!

She's got all the oddballs attention and plays the victim and solicits the sympathy vote.

Nedusa....I completely agree with your comments. The sad thing is many have fallen for her 'niavity'....her fragility and the need for friendship. She has completely fooled almost everyone.
She is a cunning liar.spoilt and mollicoddled...and she and her family are completely bonkers.
I hope she does not win this show....it would be a complete traversty.

She's so odd i love her! Funny , endearing and very entertaining. How is Abz favourite to win? I like the guy, but let's face it. He's just another Sam. :joker:

Its not just you Nedusa I cant stand her and the fragile act isn't cutting it with me. The worst of it was that she allowed Lauren to spoon feed her and then proceded to drink the remaining milk from the bowl. What is she? Three? Horrible woman

I never said she was rubbish but I do struggle to see the whole Lauren thing... Perhaps you would like to offer some argument as to just what is it about her that leaves so many people weak at the knees...!!!!!

This. Just who is this sweet innocent woman we now behold. She is an absolute vitriolic so an so. She has been thrown off TV for her nastiness.Her vile mother has coached her to behave like this totally new person. That's the only explanation I can think of right now. They are utterly corrupt.

shes been great. funny natural quirky zany generally nice friendly chatty good friend to most housemates too....her singing alone has had my in stitches as has her wardrobe and her bizarre half baked exercise regime. I just like her I think she is at heart the nicest warmest friendliest funnierst most genuine person in there

Please try and give some opinions of your own , I'm sure you can think of at least a couple of reasons why this woman is practically walking on water ...!!!

Tonight the three or four clips of news from the house ALL featured Lauren as central to them. Totally biased towards the so called 'golden girl'. Jesus you would think the editors would mix it up a bit DISGUSTED

I agree, but its been like this since the series started, with biased editing showing every little thing Lauren does, all her dialogue however unentertaining as long as the camera is on her. She's not that interesting and without the positive bias would have sunk without a trace.

no one because its not true. you can see how people behave and most of them have self destructed with rage or jealousy. lauren hasn't. neither has abz, hence theyre now rightly favourites and by far the nicest people in there

Just personally I tend to think you've got a fair point here.

Except perhaps what you or I find funny or entertaining may not be the same as others.

Can see why people think Lauren is quirky, funny or entertaining even if she does little for me.
I certainly think she's one of the nicest people in there.

For me Courtney is also a nice person but slightly more entertaining and interesting gives her the edge.

That said perhaps Lauren is is a very good gameplayer by keeping her calm and letting Charlotte blow herself out.

It all boils down to what (combination) people think the winner should be.

Entertaining
Good gameplayer
Funny
Talented
Intriguing
Likeable/Friendly
Attractive etc

I go for a combination (generally in that order).

Also I won't look down on a HM if they're given extra airtime, only allow for it.
After all, it's not their fault...

Really hate to admit this but much as I disliked Sam large amounts of people ended up thinking he was a Mr Moral good guy !

If Lauren isn't really the person she seems to be then hats off to her because I haven't sussed her yet.

People say she wasn't the same on BBBOTS or whatever (which I never saw)
But even if that's true, how do you know she hasn't changed for the better ?

I understand the point your are making and yes I have no issue with idea that Lauren is a genuinely nice person but I must ask what would be the point of watching CBB if say we had 15 Lauren's in there ?

It would be a lovefest... a lovely warm cosy environment where everybody smiled at everyone. And after 3 days the viewing figures would be down to single figures. The Public watch CBB to see the drama the catcalls the bitching the arguments , its the nasty characters that make the show although nasty in a pantomime sort of way.

So where is Lauren in all of this ? Well no where really, a strange peripheral character with mental health issues treated with kid gloves by the other HM. Should she even be in there considering her state of mind.

I personally am embarrassed to watch her odd behaviour and do not under any circumstances think she is CBB winner material.

I just find her a bit boring.....!!!!

Nearly all of Lauren's best bits have been cut out of the Highlights. So most of the comments are completely unfair.

Actually my position on lauren has changed dramatically in the last 12 hours. As this thread asks the question how can such an odd quirky boring uninvolved HM be so far ahead in the favourites Polls..I have been carrying out a bit of research into Lauren Harries and am amazed at what I am reading.

She is and by all accounts her family are as well, scammers (low level con artists) who have a long history of conning the public into buying goods under false pretences.

She is not what she seems and after reading some of the posts written on this forum about her, it seems she is playing one HELLUVA GAME in that house. It appears she has deliberately crafted her whole character in the house to appear a sad but warm hearted victim of life, she plays the sympathy angle ALL the time and has other HM running after her. Nobody will dare nominate her either...BUT this is all planned and staged right from the start. she has made a few gaffes and dropped a few verbal grenades designed to get other HM's arguing and they have worked.

So I think it's hats off to lauren, she is playing a brilliant game and will surely deserve to win by all accounts.

She has had me fooled from the start and only now I am starting to see this crafty woman's game....Can she hold it together till Friday though..??

Well maybe she has changed...but having seen her stance over that arguement over mumgate and how she chose to handle it by keeping quiet...shows how conniving she is. She is DESPERATE to win. Anyone who did not know much about her prior to this I can understand their judgement. She has been sussed by some of the public and by the housemates...
