Somehow I knew Courtney was going to put that stock cube into the kettle :laugh:

The Situation actually done the exact same thing when he was in there.

She did it on purpose IMO. You could tell by her reaction when Louie asked her about it.

That made it less funny than if it was a genuine mistake

I also think she did it on purpose... the way she acted when Louie asked - she knew exactly what she did. Which just makes it not funny.

I read a recipe and it said brown mince so I put it under the grill.It happens.

100% right,I cant believe people would think otherwise it was so obvious.

It's sad that carol didn't stay and give her proper instructions though, if it had been charlotte carol would have been there crawling all over her to help.

I thought it looked deliberate,When Louie confronted her she looked all sheepish like my little boy does when he knows he's done something naughty.Anyone who has kids would see this straight away

I accidentally ate an oxo cube when I was little thinking it was a toffee or something. I literally can't explain how awful it tasted, I would honestly rather eat ****. Its weird how bad it tastes.

Aw I love them me and my dad used to love a mug of oxo or Bovril on a cold day.

Putting the cube straight in the kettle sounds like quite a good idea actually

I think people don't get on here that a lot of American's don't actually have kettles in their houses, especially electric ones. Which makes sense considering Mike in CBB10 did the same thing.

It was a genuine mistake, watch it again and listen to how Carol and Courtney talk over each other but say different things.

Courtney- "So, I just put it in the kettle"
Carol- "Yeah, just put it in the jug"
Courtney- "OK"

neither of them actually listened to each other.

I get it that most Americans don't have electric kettles, something to do with the voltage... anyhoo, you have to be some kind of freakin' moron to put a stock cube into a kettle, from which you get water for tea and coffee. She isn't as stupid as she makes out, I think it was done for effect.

I doubt she would go out of the way to purposely do that for any sort effect. I think she just did it by accident, she had no hesitation when she did it, which made it clear she didn't think what she was doing was wrong in the slightest.

Plus, it's something I would have done on my first day at cooking in uni to be fair.

As an American, let me explain. We don't have stock cubes. Our broths come in a can or a box. It took me forever to figure out what a freaking oxo cube was the last time this issue came up.

When I watched it Carol says put it in the jug, which I took to mean put it in the kettle. This is really one of those cultural difference. Courtney maybe an idiot but she was following Carol's instructions and as an American who is 35 and never used a stock cube, I don't think I would have done much better.

A cultural misunderstanding I assure you.

The funniest part for me was Lauren saying "someones put a cup a soup in the kettle" Then someone told charlotte who immediately said it would be Lauren. I don't care if Courtney did it delibratly or not it was still very funny.
