British dance music singer Katy B has shared a new single today, following last year's great Danger EP and her spring single "What Love Is Made Of". The new track is called "5AM", and it premiered today on BBC Radio 1. Have a listen above. The singer has also been sharing photos from the recent "5AM" video shoot on Facebook. The track will be released as a single on October 28 via Rinse/Columbia.

Katy B and producer Geeneus are currently working on Katy's new album.

It's a good Katy B song but I don't think it's going to do any better than What Love Is Made Of

Shaun 30-09-2013 08:35 PM

probably not

surprised WLIMO made #21 tbh

james130 01-10-2013 12:53 AM

Joelle. 01-10-2013 01:11 AM

The songs on Katy B’s forthcoming album ‘Little Red’ now have specific titles (DON’T PANIC, ‘AALIYAH’ IS THERE).

Also, the album’s out on February 3, which is quite soon actually isn’t it.

Katy B’s label asked her for a quote for the press release and this is what she had to say for herself:

“That first album had a certain innocence about it. I think this album has a bit more experience. My relationships have got more serious, I’ve moved out of my parents’ house, I’m dealing with issues on my own. My friends are all going through that transition as well – those questions you ask of yourself as an adult.”

Interesting.

Here are those songtitles:

1. Next Thing
2. 5AM
3. Aaliyah feat Jessie Ware – HURRAH
4. Wicked Love
5. Crying For No Reason
6. I Like You
7. All My Loving
8. Tumbling Down
9. Blue Eyes
10. Saphire Blue
11. Stay Down
12. What Love Is Made Of

We told you a bit about Katy B’s forthcoming ‘Little Red’ the other day but the artwork and tracklist weren’t quite finished so here we are again, this time with some extra info about the LP’s producers.

Basically the picture above is the rather splendid artwork, the tracklist is at the end of this post and the producer details are in the paragraph that follows this one.

So Geeneus is all over the show, along with George FitzGerald, Jacques Greene, Joker, Route 94 and Artwork, while Sampha pops up on ‘Play’ and as previously noted the Jessie Ware collaboration ‘Aaliyah’ is quite rightly included on the album.

The proper, actual, this-isn’t-going-to-change tracklist is now:

01. Next Thing
02. 5 AM
03. Aaliyah feat Jessie Ware
04. Crying For No Reason
05. I Like You
06. All My Lovin’
07. Tumbling Down
08. Everything
09. Play feat Sampha
10. Sapphire Blue
11. Emotions
12. Still

The release date is February 3.

What Flop Is Made Of culled

Shaun 12-12-2013 04:50 PM

oh, weird, #21 isn't that bad considering she's never been a mainstream pop act either. Maybe it's on a deluxe version.

Shaun 12-12-2013 04:50 PM

also, dat artwork :worship:

Love the artwork though and the sound of those song titles

Shaun 27-12-2013 12:19 AM

I think that was a separate thread before this one :blush2:

edit: oh you mean on the album... yeah that's weird :/

Jords 27-12-2013 07:03 AM

Her music is great to play on a low volume when working, keeps you motivated.

Jordan. 19-01-2014 03:12 PM

I  crying for no reason, by far the best out of the singles so far.

Z 19-01-2014 04:34 PM

Shaun 26-01-2014 06:58 PM

Z 29-01-2014 07:33 PM

:amazed: Wow Katy!

Matt 02-02-2014 05:58 PM

She's made #5 in the official charts

Congrats Katy

Z 02-02-2014 06:04 PM

I don't love Crying For No Reason but I'm glad it was a hit for her, I was worried she would fall victim to the second album curse especially as she was never a huge artist to begin with but it seems this campaign is going relatively well!

Jords 02-02-2014 06:28 PM

Crying for No Reason

Shaun 02-02-2014 06:34 PM

it's not my favourite song of hers by far but it's a great change of pace for her and always nice to see talented people chart well. And her performance on Graham Norton really was excellent - not seen a British singer be so commanding since Adele teasing Rolling in the Deep on Later With Jools.

james130 03-02-2014 02:11 AM

Previews are on iTunes now.
Think this will be one of my favourite albums of 2014.
May even get the physical.
All unheard tracks are flawless from the previews.

Next Thing, I Like You, All My Lovin', Everything, Emotions, Blue Eyes, Hot Like Fire, Wicked Love & Sky's The Limit. :worship:

Deluxe Edition has some of the best tracks!

Jordan. 03-02-2014 04:22 PM

The full album is out now, I can only find a DL link for standard edition though http://i.imgur.com/i2BFVD2.png
